He installed New cables and told me that it was Way out of adjustment and that was why it was snapping and causing my cables to eventually fray. My garage door is adjusted now and there is no more Snapping sound as it opens. He oiled it up really well and now my garage door opens smoothly. Avoid This Contractor -- Save Yourself the Headache…read more Hiring this tree contractor was one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a service provider. What should have been a straightforward job dragged on for 11 months, with him showing up maybe two days a month, and only for a few hours at a time. The only thing he was consistent about was stopping by to collect more payment. Once the full balance was paid, the work stopped completely. His lack of professionalism caused issues far beyond my own trees. He damaged my neighbors' property, left ropes hanging in their trees, and created tension that I ended up paying out of pocket to fix just to preserve the relationship. Even after all that, he never returned to clean up the mess he left on their property -- now I have to hire someone else to finish what he abandoned. Communication was extremely poor. I repeatedly asked him to show up and finish the job, and he either ignored the messages or made excuses. By the end, he claimed he had "underquoted" the job and refused to commit to a completion date unless I paid him more -- after nearly a year of delays and broken promises. Every time he did show up, he left trash, materials, and drink containers scattered around my yard as if he'd be back later that day. Then he wouldn't return for weeks, leaving me to clean up after him. If you're considering hiring him, do yourself a favor and get a quote from literally anyone else. Choosing a different company will be the best decision you make.

Called a second time requesting he add more window blinds that I had purchased, to install deadbolts on three exterior doors and replace all the interior door knobs I purchased. We negotiated a price, which he increased due to the work involved and I agreed to the new price. I paid in cash, but he didn't finish the work. He returned to complete the project, but left after an hour, as he didn't finish a deadbolt installation and installed the second dead bolt and door handles, then left early because a tornado warning was issued that afternoon and evening. Kris said he'd return to finish the job Saturday or Sunday, but didn't. So, Kris walked off with my money and left without finishing the work he was paid to do. He offered to return the following weekend. I text: Will you be able to finish the work? No reply ... and the blinds, the deadbolt nor the door knobs are still sitting on my table. He took my cash, said he'd be back - and didn't. A hard lesson. Do not to trust this guy! He'll take your money and leave his work unfinished.
