Recently moved to the area and came here on a whim and have returned multiple times. Note I'm not typically a King Soopers shopper but this is semi close to my place so I have it a whirl. It's typically not super busy and the store is clean. The produce has always been fresh and stocked well. To top it off the employees have always been helpful directing me as I learn the layout. Normally, I don't review grocers. However, the bakery at this store is dynamite!! Check out the case. The crème filled tulip and berry tarts are amazing. The cupcakes are delightfully decadent! The tiny fruit tarts . Each time I go, different. Love it! Finding service can be challenging, however the meat department happily assisted, the front end assisted another time, and both long after this department closed. Again, a potential minus turned into a plus. Way to go Kroger. read more

I have shopped at the store many times. It is my go to grocery store. The store and people are very good.

THIS GAS STATION IS GETTING HORRIBLE. After my pervious incident with the poor ventilation and the cleaning chemicals-- I decided to give this station another chance. I went to get gas and they have TWO pumps ripped completely opened and letting all the chemicals, fumes and additives into the air. A gentleman was working on the pumps!! Why would a company allow someone to be exposed to all those chemicals. It's hazardous. Do not expect to be breathing clean air when you go to this gas station. If you want a King Soopers that isn't exposing their customers to toxic air go to the one on 58th and Independence. read more

I would give negative stars if I could. I witnessed the pharmacist yelling at customers through the drive thru refusing to fill a prescription. Multiple people inside, totally disregarding patient privacy. This pharmacy has the most disrespectful employees. I will never do business there again. read more

As for the pharmacy in this store, I just finished reading the reviews from 2-5 years ago. I can certainly say that NOTHING has changed. They treat some customers as friends and others as diseased plague ridden scum. Their service is the most rude I have ever seen. Their techs starts off nice and then they take on the personality of their manager who is a nasty person (machelle). Being someone that is disabled and needs their meds when they are due, they treat me like a drug addicted addict. It's terrible. People are sick and just because you don't look sick doesn't mean you aren't. They speculate and decide for themselves who gets good service and who doesn't. They will transfer your prescriptions to different locations because they don't want to help you anymore. Something needs to be done about the manager and her attitude that obviously taints the newer employees. Her current student, learning her nasty behavior, is Angelica. Trust me, she wasn't named appropriately. She has nothing to do with being angelic. Take your scripts somewhere else... trust me. These women are worse then the Gestapo!!! They will let you die before filling your life sustaining medications. read more

Just started working there a 3 weeks ago.. this store is weekly pay to keep in mind. The manager always held off on setting my clock in information set up. Which was sketch. So I had to write it on paper. I'm wondering now if I'm going to get paid because I went in for my check on pay day .. & it was already mailed out. Daughters birthday coming up and cannot buy anything because they mailed my check out when in person I asked if I could pick it up from the store for birthday reasons. Any teens looking for a 1st job I wouldn't recommend. Everyone in deli said it took month to get there first check.. so yeah.. read more

Update: After TEN DAYS of phone calls involving myself, my physician, and this pharmacy--including two encounters with a tech who literally shouted at me on two occasions--they continued to insist that my prescription did not exist. I gave up and transferred to another pharmacy. The new pharmacy located my records, found the "non-existent" prescription, and had everything ready in less than one day. DO NOT GO HERE. This one is 2nd best in the area. The location west on ward is a bit nicer but this one is totally sufficient. I find it often has better bread anyway. Everything else is pretty standard as far as King Soopers goes...no reason to avoid this one if you live nearby or are passing by. They also have the gas station attached if you take advantage of the fuel points. read more

I love King Soopers way more than Safeway and would go here over any Safeway any day. I give this place a 3 stars and to be honest I don't think it is thier fault The place is just super small and they don't have the inventory that other King Soopers do. The employees are always super nice, I would give them a five stars. However, when doing detailed shopping I can't rely on this story for variety they way I can with the Kings 4 miles down the road. This store is invariably out of stock of more than one thing on my list, it's terribly crowded, and the service is horrible. If you don't want to do self-check-out, go ahead and stand in line for 10 minutes or more! And, to top it off, to get service at the meat counter sometimes, you need to walk into the back through the doors that say "Employees only" and shout; then MAYBE someone will appear to get your meat selection. I can't imagine why corporate retains whoever manages this terribly run store. read more

WORST STORE EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. I purposely waited two weeks to leave this review as I was so upset by the experience I had at this store. I had tried to return some packaged ham with mold on it (with a receipt) and was treated like I was non-human by the Customer Service (NOT) staff including the manager, John. They refused to refund me even though they had a sign right there on the counter. See photo. They tried to tell me that they are not accepting any returns, "see the sign" they said. I patiently tried to explain to them that I understand that they are not taking returns on products, such as toilet paper and disinfectant and all of the other items that people overly purchased. HOWEVER, the sign continues on to say that YES, food items will of course be refunded or exchanged. These idiots refused to budge. Not only did they refuse to budge but they laughed to each other about me right in front of my face and the best word I can use to describe my treatment is "bullied". Unbelievable that a customer service department person and a store manager would actually act as immature and clueless as they did. The manager definitely needs to be fired, not just for his treatment of a frequent customer (oh not anymore! Hell no!!)but for not understanding his own store policy in black and white, in front of his well-fed face. Now, before you call me Karen, let me just explain that I am (WAS) the customer that always said to the employees at the checkout, " thank you so much for working in this", and.... I did not demand to speak to the manager. I approached the counter very nicely, with a smile, and politely asked for a refund of my moldy ham. I only became adversarial after it was apparent that I was dealing with a couple of irrational, mentally challenged, halfwits. Way to go King Soopers for pushing people to the limit of bashing you on SM. Maybe next time you'll respond to the 2 phone calls and letter I sent two weeks ago. Not only will I NEVER be stepping foot in this KS, but rest assured I'll not go to another one either (oh, and I ALSO transferred my prescriptions). Lost our pick up order three out of four weeks in a row. Got a call at 7:30 this morning, "There's a problem with our app so we will not be fulfilling your order." It would be a nice service if it could be offered with any consistency. We can put up with the fact that they can't find a few items each week, that new staff often put in damaged fruit, but if they lose your order often, it doesn't make sense to take an hour to upload your list. read more

Really bad parking lot, terrible flow in isles. Purchased an egg salad croissant for lunch today and it was incredibly over-seasoned with black pepper- impossible to east. Called the deli to let them know and they could tell me the store's return policy or next steps. read more

Extremely rude employees. Its obvious that customers do not come first at this store. I have been shopping this store for over 15 years and have seen a significant decrease in service. Employees seem bothered and annoyed by customers. 7 out of 10 visits I have to bag my own groceries if not using the self checkout while I see employees standing around talking and laughing. read more

Produce is , in many instances, substandard. Bagged lettuce in the refrigerator section has rusty brown edges, oranges are spongey and dehydrated. Why does the produce department display such inferior products? Produce manager, please put rotting produce in your trash. read more

Well-lit, usually always clean (if not, spills are generally cleaned up pretty promptly), decent selection. Wish the staff were more "eager" to help customers, every time I've asked for help I'm generally "nonchalantly" pointed in the basic direction of what I need. (Rather than someone actually accompanying me to find something after I've told them I've been searching for a certain item for an extended period of time.) I went to this King Soopers to drop off a prescription. My husband was having dental work done and needed two medicines filled quickly after his appointment. The drive through window for the pharmacy wasn't working. When I dropped the 'scripts off with his insurance card, they said it would be a 20 minute wait. No problem there. I went through the store to pick up a few things. The store was going through some construction, so there were a lot of things out of place and it made the store feel packed, because you had to maneuver around people, carts, and random displays in any available space. After 20 minutes, I went back to pick up my prescriptions. They weren't ready. So I went and picked up my husband. He waited in the car while I went back in. The prescriptions weren't ready for another 20 minutes, so I ended up waiting for 40 minutes total. I just wish they would have quoted me for 40 minutes, as it would have saved me some irritation and I could have managed my time better instead of waiting around for them. In all, I won't make it a point to return to this King Soopers, especially not until after they finish the construction and get their pharmacy window working again. Even then, I may just go out of my way to my favorite pharmacy, where I can get my prescriptions filled in 5 minutes or less and with a smile on their faces. read more

This has to be the worst pharmacy ever!!! The people are so rude who work here!! When your sick, your baby is sick, your husband is sick...the last thing you want to deal with or should have to deal with is a jerk giving you medicine to make you feel better! My 7 month old was sick for days before he was prescribed an antibiotic and this specific pharmacy told me that his medicine was called into the wrong KS pharmacy and the medicine is premixed so they would have to call to make sure it wasn't but would most likely be premixed and then it would take another 20 mins to transfer the script over to this pharmacy and then another 20 to fill....when you have a sick baby you don't want to waste a single second!! So I go to the one farther down 64th and pick it up and she's like I have to mix that and it will be right back. She was so nice (but no drive through and you don't want to drag a baby out into a store/sea of germs when sick) and helpful. She told me she didn't want to throw them under the bus however, they never mix children's antibiotics because they need to be refrigerated and so on... So basically, this pharmacy lied on top of their rudeness!! read more

I bought $32 in gas at the King's gas station on 64th and Ward in Arvada. I used a debit card in the pump. They took the $32, and put $125 "on hold". I thought I'd been scammed/robbed. I contacted the bank, VISA, the Arvada Police Dept. and King Soopers. King's said VISA did it. Visa said they were certain it was King Soopers. Then King's admitted they did it. I still don't know why. King Soopers will never get my business again. Why would they tie up $125 when I purchased $32 in fuel? read more

I usually shop at the Kings at 58th & Independence, but needed a couple things on my way home after getting my hair cut at Floyd's so I stopped here. The cashier & I started talking & I told her just that. She commented how 'my store' attracts a lower class clientele. I was a little offended to be quite honest. So the cherry on this little story is that I go out to my car & a 'clientele' of THIS King Soopers had spat nasty slimely putrid mucous on my door & handle. That never happened at my store...with us lower class folks! I am blown away. I doubt I'll stop here again. Disgusting. read more

The staff here are always friendly and the experience is always decent. The is our main grocery store and where we run when we need to quickly pick something up. The gas discounts with the grocery points save us a lot of money at the pump, too! read more

This store was okay it had no cookies and it was hard to find everything. The employees (Paul specifically) were helpful and kind.

Thanks to their poor integration of the new chip function on their card readers, I was unable to make my purchase and am headed to Safeway. The clerk at self check out let me know that the new function no longer allows debit card holders to use the card under the credit function, forcing the card holder to put in a PIN number for the purchase. Hope they figure that out soon. read more

King Soopers pharmacy provides established, long term customers with ROTTEN service. As noted on other reviews here, called in prescriptions take a long time. After being in the hospital for a month I went to my family doctor who gave me a needed RX and called it into the store. My appointment was at 8:30 AM, to allow my wife to go to work. The pharmacy finally called around 1:00 to tell me the RX was ready -- glad we were not cooling our heals in the waiting area for those 5 hours, or that my wife stayed home from work waiting for the RX to be filled. After a month in the hospital I cannot drive in my present condition, and one of my kids agreed to go get me this needed medication. King Soopers would not take a Credit Card over the phone to pay for it. They know me and have been filling my RX for years, know my telephone number for caller ID purposes, and were not called out on the delayed preparation time. But know they would not even help me out this time when I needed it. The pharmacy came back after I asked her to ask a manager, and stated "It is King Soopers policy not to take cards over the phone due to fraud. I do not know what else to tell you." Amazing. Well there was one more thing she told me. Even though it was not said, I clearly heard her say: GET A NEW PHARMACY AND STOP SHOPPING AT OUR STORE. I may be old, but I am not stupid. I can listen, and will take her advice. Walgreens has a better drive up with multiple windows and they will keep your credit card on file as part of their registration process. Walmart has better prices. I had thought I was buying better service for the extra money it takes to shop at King Soopers. It looks like I was being foolish with this lack of service. I will take the pharmacy's advice and not darken their door again. By the way, has anybody else noticed how they started expiring your fuel points about a year ago. Now you cannot build up to the big discount's anymore. I used to save them up so that I could take my out of town visitors over to the store and fuel up their car while they did their shopping for wherever they were going next. illegally searched here. my review has been deleted three times. i was drinking a snapple and didn't want the machine to mess up because sometimes the weight messes up the machine and i had already drank a fair amount of my drink. i was already ringing up a bunch of groceries, and the bigger hispanic lady at the checkout told me to pay for my drink. and when i said "that was my plan" she came up to me in a super rude tone and said "excuse me" so i repeated myself. after that, she continued to argue with me. and after being extremely hurt and angry by me sticking up for myself and not letting her cut me down, she began to illegally search me without my consent. and then i got kicked out. the security guard was in my face. when my mother called to complain about me being illegally searched, that nasty woman put some random employee on the phone and pretended to be a manager and proceeded to lie about illegally searching me. "you'll have to file a police report" the fake manager said lol This place would be better if it didn't have such terrible, disgusting employees. that's literally your only problem. hire better people, you guys should be ashamed of yourselves read more
