I truly got to see this course at its worst, and I still had a great time!…read more It appears they are in the midst of building a new pro shop, because I checked in at a kind of temporary building next to a big construction site. It was a bit chaotic getting out of my car, not really knowing where to go, then after paying there wasn't very clear signage (probably due to construction) so I had to ask a starter how to get to the south course - of course I just needed to walk south from the pro shop! It did not help that I was there in mid-January before 8 AM and it was 45 degrees out - I was not in a mood for trying to search for the first tee. For winter golf, conditions were pretty great! The greens were smooth, they obviously have been taking good care of them. The fairways weren't in as good of shape, but they were certainly playable aside from the odd bald area. Rate of play was breezy, probably because there weren't that many idiots who wanted to come out in the 20-30 mph wind gusts... but still, beautiful course, lots of nice trees, scenic water features, and a stunning #18 green.

No signs visible on the pond about no fishing, only signs seen if you come in from the north side of the road, I came in from the south. Why have a dock, if you can't even fish in it. No wonder kids stay inside these days. Would give zero if I could. However, If you're up for the thrill, pond is loaded. Caught one every other cast.

I played this course recently and liked it…read more Bermuda grass fairways and greens which are well-maintained. A few interesting holes that make good use of elevation changes, and then a fair number of more mundane holes. A great course for beginners and you can't beat the price ($5 for 9 holes walking). The only negative is that tees were not marked for 7 of the 9 holes and there are no score cards or course maps. I used a GPS app to find the approximate location of the tees but without that I would only be guessing. Also, FYI, the pro-shop is closed by the course remains open with an honor box (green fees are $5!).

Paid a premium because it was a holiday, yet the club was operated by minimal staff, which led to…read moresome real issues. First, if you're going to have over half of the holes be "cart path only" then you need to tell folks at check-in. Instead, on many of them, you didn't know until your cart stalled in the fairway and you had to back out. Second, there seemed to be no reason for the "cart path only" because it was dry. Perhaps, it was just lack of updating from Friday night's rains. Third, we were a foursome. Most courses foursomes have priority. In fact, many won't even let you make a tee time unless you have at least three. That's especially the case on weekends and holidays when tee sheets are full. Yet, our foursome was followed by 3 twosomes and a single!! Difficult to stay ahead of that, especially with all of the "cart path only" holes! So, we spent time waving folks through left and right when the clubhouse (no starter present on a high-density holiday for golf) should have paired up some of those twosomes and the single to keep pace of play more constant. Instead, we couldn't get into a rhythm until we finally had the last of them play through on the back 9! All-in-all, a pretty pathetic operation today. The course was in typical Winter conditions except range balls were like rocks!!

While not a very technical course it does have a decent layout but the rough is narrow in areas so if you have a bad slice or hook there is a good chance you'll be in another fairway. All in all an enjoyable golf course nestled next to a decent city park and right down the road they have mini-golf.

She also likes to say the course is empty and send out a single in the middle of a closed tournament. Rude for the closed tournament, and awkward for the guy held up by a blockade of foursomes. Oh and not to mention the course is dead, tee boxes are hard as cement, and the water jugs are usually empty. Pheasant Run won't disappoint if you're looking for a frustrating afternoon of hard greens and brutal customer service.

Well manicured, straight-forward, no frills course that I would play again. I made my tee time reservation online thru golfnow. Upon arrival, the staff had my reservation (although she told me they dont reserve tee times) and I was in and out in no time. Met a couple that were members who were on the first tee and they were extremely pleasant as well. The course is reconfiguring their layout so there was a little confusion, but overall a great course. This course would be decent for all level of golfer.

Stan & his staff are great! I started going to Stan to help improve my golf game overall but mainly…read moremy "banana slice" that would come and go. He has helped tremendously with that and getting me to make better contact with my irons. What is great about Stan, he is a no bs type of coach. I don't mean a jerk either. He just does exactly what you pay him for. Cuts out the bs and goes straight to your faults and corrects them. He focuses and teaches permanent fixes. You also get to hit outside and see the ball flight just as you would on a golf course. Stan is also well respected as a fitter for clubs too. I respect the fact that i was all in for dropping $$$ to get fitter for custom clubs. He could've easily took my money, but he said "let's get you swinging better first, you may end up liking your clubs better". Gotta respect that. You can tell he really loves the sport and will invest hhis time and knowledge to help someone that has the willingness to learn. Do yourself a favor and take a lesson and see for yourself.
