With so many places to buy turquoise, beads and gems in the area, this one just didn't have the feels. We went in for some raw stones to be able to polish and there were plenty to choose from, making the stop okay. The selection of beads is massive so if you're a jewelry maker, you will definitely enjoy that aspect. The staff was definitely not friendly, not even a tiny bit! There were two gals at the counter, both staring at us for quite some time but never said a word, just stared. Borderline creepy!! Then, a guy started walking around behind the counter and into a back office, grumbling under his breath and just genuinely unhappy. We picked out a bag of raw stones, looked around a bit and asked a question. Gal mumbled something, had to ask twice, still didn't understand so just let it go! This place is turquoise heaven! A bit of a drive from where we were coming from (Havasu), but well worth it! It was easy to find right off the highway, and parking was convenient. When I walked in, I was like a kid in a candy store. If you are a jewelry maker or just love turquoise, this is the spot to check out! The quality of their turquoise is top tier. Great place to stop for turquoise beads or jewelry at the mine's own outlet store, about 6-7 miles from the mine. Staff is very helpful and it's easy on/off the highway. Worth stopping at for sure, if looking for quality turquoise. read more

If you're in Kingman you've got to go to this shop! You'll thank me. Give yourself plenty of time and a budget lol. They have the full spectrum of products from raw, to unset cabochons, to completed jewelry pieces. They are a working mine and very knowledgeable. I found my joy in the rough polished, drilled (with a hole) pieces. I'm going to make necklaces and earrings. I also got 1 chunky piece to try my hand at wire wrapping. Though I was intimidated at first (there are so many choices) they make it easy to figure out the pricing (by weight) and are super friendly and patient. I had a great time and went just a bit over my budget. Lol. This mine and shop is outside of Kingman on the way to Chloride, which is a fun tiny town to visit with lots of history. read more
