If you have young children, this is a great pond to introduce them to fishing. A simple worm on a hook is almost guaranteed to catch sunnies. If you're a little more skilled (or lucky), there are bass here too. One thing I appreciate is that there aren't nuisance snapping turtles like you'll find at some other local ponds. Pack some sandwiches, bring the family dog, and spend a few hours here. It's a peaceful park that's rarely crowded. Park in the main lot off Grotke Road. The main pond is just a short walk down the path, where you'll see a fountain spraying from the middle. There's also a small office building by the parking lot with restrooms. Beyond the pond, the park has a ball field, courts, a practice wall, hiking trails, a playground, and a large open field. A stream winds along much of the outer edge of the park and makes for a peaceful walk. Just keep an eye out for poison ivy... it's everywhere. And one last piece of advice...take lots of pictures of your little ones. One day, they might be the ones bringing their own kids back here.

Last night's pitcher reached a respectable 94 MPH with his fastball and plays were quick and exciting. The venue has a great vibe and lots of activities and events for parents, kids and basically any fan of the sport. And, honestly, for $20 I can't think of a better way to spend a fun outing on a beautiful summer night. Kudos.

The music was really good and the venue was fantastic as the crowd was able to get up close to the stage and really enjoy the performance. We got great weather and no rain until we were leaving so we really enjoyed ourselves. Cold beer and fantastic funnel cake thanks to Burnell's bakery from Peekskill NY made the night. They had several other food trucks available for those who wanted to get a bite too.

Concession stand prices are also reasonable. The food is really good. I really enjoyed the mac n' cheese bites. It's one of my favorites. If you are looking for something to do, whether you are a small party or a big group or family, strongly consider coming to the game. It's a lot less of a hassle going to a major league stadium. Parking is easy, free, and it doesn't break the bank. Traffic is relatively non existent. It's a win all around.
