In many years of travel baseball it is difficult to shock me, but watching Northeast Supreme Silver made such an impression on all the spectators that I had to write a review. I heard words come out of the players mouths that I can not imagine any parent allowing their son to say. In addition to a CONSTANT STREAM OF EXPLETIVES in the batter's box, one NES player who flew out to the outfield ran past the opponent's dug out and said (this is a direct quote). "No worries, next time I will drill it 450 and f--- your sister afterward." This was not the only vile sentiment to come off these boys lips but representative of their behavior. As the game progressed, it became clear that the boys were only repeating the inappropriate remarks they heard at home. The father's (or at least male fans) mocked the opposition, attempted to rattle the pitcher with rude comments, and swore loud enough for the many children and grandmothers in proximity to be uncomfortable. The talent of the boys was far overshadowed by the poor sportsmanship. The real winners of the game were not the boys with the larger score. In the opinion of the three teams that witnessed this behavior, the real winners were the boys who refused to sink to the level of NES. True sportsmen carry themselves with integrity and lead by example. NES does not value sportsmanship and serve as an example of youth bullying and hate. Shame on the NES organization and more specifically the coach who allowed America's game to be disgraced. Parents beware - these are the players that NES puts on display as representative of their baseball program. Spring Valley, NY - it takes a village to raise children, I implore you to consider this business. This is the only knowledge 29 other teams have your city - is this the image you want? The world needs more men of character, please do not support a business that does not support the pursuit of sportsmanship and the building of future citizens.
