This is one of those places I would visit frequently if it wasn't the better part of an hour's drive. Fantastic little baseball park where every seat offers a perfect panoramic view of the field. Games are exciting and the players, while not major league proficient, are pretty damn good. Last night's pitcher reached a respectable 94 MPH with his fastball and plays were quick and exciting. The venue has a great vibe and lots of activities and events for parents, kids and basically any fan of the sport. And, honestly, for $20 I can't think of a better way to spend a fun outing on a beautiful summer night. Kudos. read more

I enjoyed a good concert this weekend at Boulder Stadium. This was a charity event to support Meals on Wheels which I truly believe in. This organization feeds the elderly and most vulnerable people in our communities. They are very much appreciated by the people they serve. The music was really good and the venue was fantastic as the crowd was able to get up close to the stage and really enjoy the performance. We got great weather and no rain until we were leaving so we really enjoyed ourselves. Cold beer and fantastic funnel cake thanks to Burnell's bakery from Peekskill NY made the night. They had several other food trucks available for those who wanted to get a bite too. read more

Perfect little stadium to enjoy a game or events that they have. Every section you sit in is a winner. They constantly have specials on tickets and you can't beat the prices. Very clean (even the bathrooms), well maintained stadium with a play area and mini golf for the kids. Concessions are reasonable ($20 food vouchers they give out at least gets you two sodas and two hot dogs) and they also offer chick fil a and 16 handles. All staff members are friendly and the fireworks after the game are nice. I don't like that this stadium is not easily accessible to 287, so many dark back roads to take to get there. Great ballpark. Here for Star Wars night. Very fun. Umpires came out in Darth Vader masks. Cute for fans. Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices. Best food is a Moe's kiosk, fresh hamburgers, Finks BBQ and Mr. Myagi, for teriyaki bowls. 16 candles yogurt. Parking 5 bucks. 16 dollars and I'm behind home plate. A lot of giveaways. Came here for the Darius Rucker concert. The concert itself was AWESOME! The staff and 'security' were a joke. Once DR took the stage the crowd that were in box seats jumped onto the field and made a run for it towards the stage. The 'security' people were trying to stop the slow ones and made them get back into the stands. (A bit ridiculous if you ask me) not sure if this was their first concert put in there or what but they need to iron out the wrinkles. The traffic getting out of the stadium sucked. We barely moved 2 inches within 30 minutes. The police need to step up their traffic directing skills! read more

EASILY the best minor league park within a 2 hour drive of NYC. They always have good deals on the groupon-type sites which always makes it a good value. As a vegetarian I'd like to see a few more options and the food prices are typical for sporting events - too high. Unlike the boring design of the other area ball fields (HV Renegades, SI Yanks, Cyclones, Jackels) this place is unique. I love that you can walk in a full circle around the place. They have 2 bar areas that are in the far left and right field corners. They're kinda removed from the rest of the stadium so if you're there with your kids you really don't have to be subjected to annoying drunks drinking the game away...and if you're that annoying drunk you're not subjected to listening to annoying little kids while you get your drink on. read more

Food options are horrible. Many concessions are closed and those that are open have long lines (15 wait for ice cream). By the 5th inning they ran out of pretzels and popcorn and a bag of chips are the only option for a snack, which I didn't know until I got to the front of the long line. What a fun place to go!! My job had an event here recently and boy did we have a good time! Very clean, large new stadium. Staff was friendly. $1 beers on the night we came. From what I understand they have specials like that often. They even have fireworks some nights after the game. Food was included for us so not sure on prices but I'm sure it was reasonable. They have a playground and train for the children and a bar for adults. Who would want anything more? Parking is $5. Attending a Rockland Boulders game is a nice family activity for Bergen and Rockland County residents. There is plenty of parking (parking is $5 unless you have a Mercedes. Then it's free). There is a playground for the kids and a small souvenir shop full of cute shirts and other gifts. The food is so-so. The prices aren't too bad but it certainly isn't gourmet. There are a lot of fried items and hot dogs and hamburgers. The team is very amateur. In fact both teams were making a ton of errors the day we went. It looked like they were just at practice. The Rockland Boulders is a nice alternative and one tenth of the cost of going to a New York Yankees game. A good choice for a summer evening or weekend. They let the kids run around the bases after the games. read more

Great minor league baseball experience for me and my 4 year old son. Good seats, good food, friendly staff. Playground in right field is great for kids 5+. I'll definitely go again, and I look forward to bringing friends and family. Opportunity for improvement: on a hot day, it's nice to hide under the cover and watch the game. In similar ballparks, I've seen high-top tables behind the VIP boxes. It's just a nice way to keep the kids cool and centralized while one parent runs to concession stands. One sour note. In the seventh inning, an usher named Ray hassled us for sitting 2 rows from where our seats are. The family sitting next to us said that he'd hassled them for the same reason, 45 minutes before the game started. Lighten up, buddy. read more

New minor league baseball team in Rockland County. Single A Independent. The prices are cheap and the atmosphere is fun! Food is reasonable. Went for $1 beer (and soda) night, which is every Thursday home game. Fireworks on Thursday and Saturday. Most tickets are around $12-14. $5 for parking. The stadium is well-built, with some interesting dimensions for the outfield walls. Certainly worth a visit. read more

The ballpark is nice, all seats are good. Players are good and play hard. Food is typical ballpark food, a little pricey (as expected). The problem is the lines. They deter you from getting food and I think it's a real problem with the park. Tickets are cheap, I want to spend a bit extra and have some hot dogs and beer. I went to the Bacon & Beer Fest on August 21. The event was supposed to run from 1:30-4 and feature three food vendors along with some other bacon-related food items as well as various beers. Though I don't drink beer (don't like it and I was the designated driver), it appeared to have been handled fairly well. The food was another story. Kinchley's, who also serves pizza in the ballpark, was one of the vendors. Evidently, pies were brought up from the restaurant in Ramsey. And there wasn't enough to go around as they finished serving by 2:30. Another fellow with bacon-wrapped meatballs was done by 3. In addition, the Boulders' game (part of the $40 admission) didn't start till 5, meaning there would still be an hour to twiddle our thumbs between the end of the event and the start of the game (which ended up getting rained out after five innings). I wrote to the Boulders to inform them of how poorly I thought the event was run. I wasn't asking for any refund but was offered one by Christian Heimall, the team's Promotions and Public Relations Manager. In return, I said that, as we had partaken of some of the food and beer, I thought $50 of the $80 refund would have been more than fair. To date, I have neither received the refund nor have any succeeding emails asking about that refund been responded to. In other words, not only did they give little thought to the event, which could easily have been held concurrent with the game, their apparently well-meaning words are worthless. Having worked in minor league baseball, the main difference between that and the major league product is that minor league ball is more of a night out--not unlike going to a restaurant, movie or some from of amusement. And a team like the Boulders, in about the lowest form of minor league ball (short-season independent where most of the players have no major league future ahead of them) have to do whatever they can to attract and keep customers. And, in my instance, they failed miserably and I'll never go back. read more

This was, by far, one of the worst experiences I have had. First, the stadium did not have enough parking for everyone. We ended up having to park in a fire zone. We saw others driving off the curb to make up their own spots to park. When we got inside, the place was half empty, so clearly this was a flaw from the get go. Second, when we went to pick up our tickets from will call, we were.sent to three separate lines where no one knew what was going on. One employee complained to us about how there is no communication between employees. Later in the game, we went to the concession line, where we waited on line for 5 innings with no service. At the front of the line, we waited for nearly a half hour. When asking if someone could take our order, all the reply we received was, "no." You could clearly see 8 employees goofing off by the hot dog machines. When the manager showed up, all he said was that there was nothing they could do. We left at the 8th inning. If you are downstate and want to go to a cheap fun baseball game, make the trip to Dutchess for the Hudson Valley Renegades. read more

I have been going to games since it first started and I am not by any means a big baseball fan but the entertainment is so much fun that it keeps you coming back. I went to my first Mets game at the new stadium two years ago( yea I'm a Mets fan) and I spent on two tickets for one day including parking and food what I would spend on a season ticket at Rockland Boulders. So this year I got a season ticket for the Boulders instead. Its like going to a major league game only affordable. I love the theme nights, the various local and national non profits they support and the friendly staff and players. These players are not egotistical like some of the major league ones. If you want a great family night or a date night or a night out with friends -this is your place. So much fun! Cant wait for the season to start. read more

Purchased a 4 ticket package through Amazon Local. Seats that we got were great, just behind first base dugout, 4 rows back. Package included 4 hot dogs, buns were stale and I got a hotdog with a bit of bone in it. A cap on one of my teeth came loose as a result of biting on the piece of bone. Package also included a free t-shirt, but they had run out so they told us they would send us one for my son. Picture this-- we are in a huge store full of Boulders t-shirts and other gear, but they cant spare something to give to a 12 year old kid. What a class organization! Highly recommend you look elsewhere for sports entertainment. It is pretty clear this organization is not interested in providing a quality experience. It has been 4+ months since the date of the game, and no t-shirt. Trust me, I am not holding my breath. Should rename the team the Rockland Cheapskates. read more

I don't like how they've added a $1 surcharge to tickets on nights when fireworks are shown. That's pretty cheap - the fireworks should be a bonus.
