This is a really large park next to the train station. You have to pay for parking but have in /out privelages. The restrooms are plentiful and the one I used next to the beach/bbq are was clean. You can swim at the beach for minimal fee, you can bbq, hike, bike and fish here. This is my second time visiting and will definitely keep it on my places to hang out, great for large groups too. There's camping for RV and tents with reservations. I didn't do this but we drove by and saw the area

This park is good depending on the reason you went here. We were looking for a place to walk & be outside with a water view & this place fits our needs. Entrance is 10 bucks & another fee for swimming. The swimming area is small, lines are long & very crowded. It's not really a beach, its the Hudson River!!! To wade in it probably okey, but ill be wary to swim on it!!! For walking & the water view i say this place is worth visiting.

My friend and I enjoyed this tranquil, beautiful park. We enjoyed our hiking loop trail. We got to see the grasslands, the foliage of autumn, and the serene Hudson River. It was a remarkable experience. I would say it's an easy trail to navigate.

Spent Memorial Day Weekend here with my family and we brought the dog. The beach wasn't open at the time, but we got to enjoy relaxing and watching people fish and have their picnics in the fields. There was also a space for the ice cream truck that came in and attracted a very long line. I could tell that I wasn't the only person having a great time which was good. I would come here again, but I would love to see the beach next time.

The facilities are immaculate, the staff is friendly and the location is amazing. We camped there one night on our way north. The attendant was helpful, efficient and covered all of the details. The other campers were friendly and quiet.

Depending on what your looking for, this may or may not be the place for you. We came for the beach so I'll only review the beach. One word...GROSS. I see poop (EVERYWHERE!!!) in the sand ( if you can call it that, since it is basically gravel), and the smell of the beach is not soo pleasant. I won't be coming back! But I guess you can't beat the price. $10 for parking ($5 if you have a Westchester parks pass) and beach access ($4 for adult and $3 for kids). DID I MENTION SHIT IS EVERYWHERE?

We loved this area! Perfect for our camping adventure! Clean sites, friendly staff, only 3-4 minutes from a train station to the city! Highly recommend!

After living in Westchester County for over a decade, decided to visit Croton Point Park for a long walk along the river in July. Croton Point Park is a beautiful gem. Spectacular views of the Hudson. Pic uploaded. From the southern point, you can see the Tappan Zee Bridge. Abundant picnic tables suitable for families and large groups. The walk from one end of the park to the other is just over 1 mile. You can also get to the park via Metro North RR. It's free if you walk in. Gripe #1: Pool was closed in middle of summer. What's up? Gripe #2: Parking fee. Already pay exorbitant Westchester County taxes. Feels like double-dipping into my pocketbook. Just a stunning park with an expansively glorious view of the Hudson River. Drove through on a late winter day and I am making a mental note to make sure I get here on a warm spring day it would be splendid! Better yet I need to make the Annual Hudson River Sloop Clearwater Festival next summer no excuses!!!

Beautiful park. The playgrounds are still closed in September, but still charge $10.00 to get in. So if you have children under 5, there's not a lot to do in the park for them unless you want them to get wet on the beach.

This is one of those parks that makes me wish I were a resident of Westchester County, as I'd probably take more advantage of it during the season. At $10 entry fee for nonresidents, it's not a casual visit sort of place. Still, it's a really gorgeous park, with a section that's obviously an old landfill, latticed with hiking and cycling trails. There's a beach section, and a shoreline meander spot as well. I didn't go to the nature center any of the times I was there, nor to the model plane airport. There's a campground here as well, from looking at it, it looks like it has some really nice camping spots. This is a really huge park, so there's a lot to do here, definitely deserving of multiple visits, especially if you're a resident!

It has good views of the Hudson river on both sides, and fishing is most definitely one of the main activities.

Campsite (3/5): These are a bit stacked on top of each other but our group had two next to each other so it didn't impact us too much. Ambiance (4/5): These campsites are right on the water which is absolutely stunning! You really feel like you're in nature, but there is a major road near the top campsites and even by the water you can hear road noise. There was a huge group at the top which partied into the night though we're up late anyhow and it was no issue for us. Consider earplugs if you're not like us. Bathrooms (4/5): These were relatively clean for a campground bathroom. Minus a star here because on the last day the women's room was out of order -- but I believe it was due to another guest, as a member of our party heard someone say "oh no it's not flushing!" TL;DR: Great for those late-into-the-night campers. If you stay here make sure you get a waterfront spot.

The employees working there were not helpful at all. After we were dropped off at the launch point, one employee gave a quick safety speech and then disappeared. No one helped us tie our tubes together or navigate the steep drop-off with our tubes to get into the water, which was extremely slippery and rocky. We were told the float would take 2-2.5 hours. This was wildly inaccurate. It took us an hour to float from the drop-off point back to camp. When we previously did the trip from Barryville, the float was much longer. For what we paid, this was a complete waste of money. Then, when we reached the ending point around 4 p.m., we were harassed by three teenage employees who were yelling at us and demanding that we bring up our tubes immediately. There was no one else going out with those tubes at that time, and we simply wanted to sit and relax for a few minutes since the float had been so short. The employees were unnecessarily rude and nasty about it. I feel bad for the people who paid to camp out on this site. It was pathetically small and claustrophobic. Do yourself a favor and book a float trip with another company. After this experience, I would not return to or recommend Kittatinny Canoes at either base camp. EDIT/UPDATE: After the owner's response, I wanted to provide some additional context because I don't feel her response accurately reflects what we experienced. First, regarding the float time: the website states that the trip is 2-3 hours, not 2-2.5 hours. I understand that river conditions can affect the timing, but the conditions on Saturday were considered normal summer levels, with no flood warnings or high water advisories. Our float was significantly shorter than the advertised timeframe. We were also surprised by how close the drop-off point was. The bus barely drove us up the road before letting us out, and the location itself seemed like an odd place to start the trip, being let out in what appeared to be a vacant grassy field directly next to the Riverside on the Delaware townhomes, not even 3 full miles away. I feel bad for the people who live there. It did not feel like we were out in nature, enjoying lush vegetation. I could literally hear landscaping equipment buzzing along the float. As far as the landing area, we did not see anyone trying to get out of the water with kayaks while we were there, nor did the teenage employees tell us that kayakers were waiting to come through. They were not helping people navigate the landing area; they were primarily standing around and yelling at guests to bring their tubes over to the trailer. If they had politely explained that we were blocking kayakers or asked us to move for that reason, that would have been completely understandable. That is not how the situation was handled. Our issue was not being asked to move. It was the attitude and lack of helpfulness from the staff from the moment we arrived. We would have been happy to cooperate if the situation had simply been explained to us. Unfortunately, that was not our experience, and the owner's response does not change what we personally witnessed during our trip

That's how we've always been treated, and it's how we'll always think of the incredible group of people here. The care and attention both of our children have received has been nothing short of exemplary. They've truly thrived at Little Pals, and we can already see how the foundation this school provided has played a big role in their success beyond preschool. It's a big thing to send your firstborn off to school. Harder still when that happens at the tail end of a pandemic like it did for us. Is this the right school academically? Will my child adapt socially? Will they thrive? Little Pals checked all the boxes and then some. They made our children feel safe, comfortable, and genuinely cared for, while also setting high academic standards. And they did an outstanding job with us parents too! Calming our nerves (especially this parent), and making everything feel right immediately. We've never doubted our choice for an instant. Our children leave Little Pals with a solid academic foundation: recognizing and writing letters and numbers, early sight words, counting to 100, and reading beginner books with confidence. Their handwriting improved tremendously; they developed strong problem solving skills and a genuine love of learning. They still talk about songs, lessons, and moments from class. It's incredible to see how far ahead they've been - both academically and socially - compared to where I remember being at that age. Communication is excellent. In addition to parent/teacher conferences and detailed reports, the teachers were always available to chat. I never felt rushed, and I can be quite talkative! There are field trips, an open house, Christmas concerts, and family night, all of which made us feel connected to the school and involved in our children's early education. There are always activities and plenty of pictures. Our kids made friends - and we made friends too! We've experienced just about every aspect of Little Pals, from the toddler room to aftercare for our first grader. Our kids attended summer camp here, and even brought their cousins along! That's how much we trust and value this place. I truly cannot say enough good things about this school. Little Pals has given our children not only a loving and nurturing environment, but a true head start in life--academically, emotionally, and socially. Thank you Little Pals, for everything!
