The place itself has a cool retro vibe to it....nothing fancy...just a great cut. One of the few places I know of where they "clean" the back of your neck with hot shaving cream and a straight edged razor. Being from Toronto, anyone coming at you with a straight edged razor would have me running the opposite direction....so it did take a bit of adjusting to (maybe I've seen too many slasher films) Haircut for $13...so much better than places like MagicCuts, etc. Highly recommend.

The price was more than reasonable at only $20. But the greatest thing about going here is Sam himself. I noticed a plaque on the wall about Sam barbering for over 70 years. Huh? Finally I asked: "Sam, how old are you?" The reply was: "94." He shared that he loves his job and looks forward to coming to work every day. He enjoys the people who come into his shop. Meeting Sam was an experience I'll never forget. The haircut was secondary. If you want to meet somebody who loves life and exudes happiness and contentment you must meet Sam.
