They have nice stuff, but high prices. They also wouldn't give me a tax exemption. Perhaps too much work.

My friend and I took a trip to Friday harbor one weekend. I always love to bring a souvenir or…read moretchotchke for my kiddos and saw Joe Fridays. Although it's not a huge store, they had a big variety of everything from shirts to sweaters to stickers and magnets. The designs were broad and they had a lot of sizes. I have to be honest, the pricing inside the store was a little bit more on the expensive side. And for reference, I usually buy a t-shirt for around $20. But thankfully, the store had several clearance racks and shelves outside of the front of the store. I found extremely reasonably priced and very adorable shirts to bring home. We've had the shirts for almost a year now, and they have lasted very long. The design integrity is solid and the shirts have not shrunk. I'm a happy camper!

Wandered and perused most businesses out of curiosity, wrap up my last few hours, get some walking in before queuing up at the ferry terminal. Most of the time as a solo day tripper, I was largely ignored, treated brusquely, or standoffish. Whatever, just looking people! But when I stopped in Joe Fridays Shirt Company, yes it could scream 'tourist trap', but I wanted to get a souvenir for myself and my son. We usually love hoodies and T shirts from places visited. The counter person was a standout, very welcoming and willing to answer any questions. I ended up scoring on items that were marked down for the season. Nice quality T shirts that also came with baseball caps. Whoever that saleswoman was, sincere gratitude for being a positive, friendly ambassador representing your business and community in Friday Harbor.

Can I Give You My Money? No Thanks. If you're looking for…read moreexceptional service and a welcoming atmosphere, Outlooks Menswear is NOT the place to find it. During a short visit to Duncan for Father's Day, I was excited to spend quality time with my Dad and treat him to some new clothes. We searched for menswear options and Outlooks came up first, so we headed there full of enthusiasm and ready to shop. We walked in smiling and ready for a great experience. I introduced my Father and explained we were looking to outfit him with some new pieces. The saleswoman took one look at him and flatly said, "We have nothing for him." No effort. No conversation. No alternative suggestions. Just a dismissive brush-off and out the door we went--feeling dejected and frankly, unwelcome. Thankfully, just two doors down was Jim's Clothes Closet. Not only did they greet us warmly, but their amazing team, especially CoCo, helped my Dad find pants in the exact size the Outlook's employee insisted wouldn't fit him. On top of that, he left with shirts, belts, a hat, and a great vest--plus a smile on his face. Outlooks Menswear gave us the worst customer service experience I've had in years. If you value your time, your money, and being treated like a human being, keep walking right past this place.

Good staff and tailor, though branding could be done a bit better. Allow me to demonstrate. Here's…read more3 separate shopping experience from 3 separate stores. Can you guess which one is Outlooks?
