Over the past 15+ years I have used his…read moreservices consistently and faithfully, as a loyal customer who also readily referred numerous friends, colleagues, and family to Michael Rose, CPA. However, over the past 5-10 years as he has scaled his business, the level of service has declined (first, a few minor mishaps here and there or things overlooked on my tax returns as I dealt with new, my guess, seasonal workers who never really took the time to know me or my finances beyond quick conversations). I saw less and less of him and more of other random employees handling my taxes. (It's fine, I guess. I'm not a millionaire, so perhaps he has bigger clients to tent to?!) His personal touch and friendly face was always a source of comfort during what could be an otherwise stressful time: tax season. The major issue I have -which has led to my final decision to take my business elsewhere- is with the front office staff which was at one time run by nice, friendly women but have now been replaced by Michael's wife "Ledy". She is rude and lacks basic customer service. Most of all, given that a large portion of Mr. Rose's clients are African American, she could use a course on "cultural competency" and learning how to speak to black folks versus talking down to them or like she is above them! I would conjecture that the frequent turnover in office staff is due to her poor management "style" and lack of respect. It's too bad that she has gotten in the way of what was once a wonderful professional relationship. Thanks to her attitude combined with the other personnel changes in the business, I will most definitely not be returning!

Baity and Assoc. spoke to the IRS and eventually got roughly 60k of penalties and fees dropped and my payments cut by 2/3. Tuesday I called and he was still sick was told the bother was there he would look and call me back and no call back and they didn't answer the phones after. Wednesday I called and Simone picked up waited till I finished giving my name and what I needed the proceeded to say hello 2 times and hung up. I called back 4 times and no answer. Today I called and they finally answered and said it was ready. I got there and the dad was not in and would be back in 5 mins and I had to wait. No one else in the office could give me the paperwork. After about 5 mins they called him and he told them What to give me. Very unprofessional from start to finish. Very slow and poor service. Then after we paid them they never submitted our return. After more than a month, I called them asking about our return and they admitted their mistake.
