People keep posting reviews here for the service department, this is the dealership. We purchased our car here in 2014, and we've been really happy with it. The ECO feature of the car has been great, it helps save tons of money on gas. The car has had great performance for 3 years without issues. Its been driven for long distances, including trips to Pennsylvania and Vermont. The model we purchased was the Elantra GT. The process for purchasing the car was smooth and easy. The dealership offered many options to customize the car and we took only the options that were suited for us. Overall we were happy with the service what we received. I think the service you receive is dependent on the individual that assists you. The salesperson that was helping was kind, caring, and respectful; he let us take our time and we test drove two models before making a decision. read more

I purchased a vehicle from Kingscross Hyundai at the end of May. Before purchasing, we exchanged text messages with the salesperson over several days. We specifically asked if there was any interior or exterior wear, damage, or issues with the vehicle and were told there was none. We were also informed there was a stop-sale recall on the vehicle. We decided to proceed with the purchase, and while the vehicle sat on their lot for approximately three weeks waiting for the recall to be completed, we were assured it would be fully detailed inside and out before pickup. There were several marks on the seats that we specifically asked about. We were told they were simply dirt and that the vehicle would be spotless when we picked it up. After driving three hours to collect the vehicle, we arrived to find it had not been detailed at all. There were marks throughout the headliner, visible wear on the driver's seat and steering wheel that was clearly wear and not dirt as we had been assured, and a small dent on the hood that had never been disclosed to us. Both running boards were also heavily oxidized, with paint flaking off in multiple areas. While this may be considered normal wear on a used vehicle, it is something that should have been disclosed when we specifically asked about the vehicle's condition. To make matters worse, the dealership could not locate the second key when we arrived. We raised these concerns immediately. The salesperson largely agreed with everything we pointed out but offered no real explanation. We were told to take the vehicle home and that a solution would be worked out that would not inconvenience us. Several weeks later, there is still no second key and no meaningful resolution. The sales manager's response has largely been that we purchased a used vehicle. While they are now willing to clean the vehicle and repair the seat, they expect us to drive three hours each way and leave the vehicle with them. That is a significant inconvenience for a family with jobs and children, especially considering the vehicle sat untouched on their lot for three weeks before delivery. The salesperson and I even came up with a simple solution: have the cleaning and seat repair completed locally in our city for approximately $400. The proposal required approval from the sales manager, but that is where communication stopped. To this day, we still have no second key and no resolution. My advice is to be very careful when making a deal with this dealership. In our experience, verbal promises and text message agreements did not carry much weight once the sale was completed. We understand that used vehicles may have imperfections, but our issue is not with the condition of the vehicle itself--it's with the fact that the condition was misrepresented and the commitments made during the sale were not honored. read more

Please do not purchase a Hyundai. The cars have major oil consumption issues, all you have to do is Google it. Do not purchase a rust module---they do nothing. They tell you it will keep the car free of rust---lies. My car has a lot of rust underneath. The service dept at Kingscross is terrible. They refuse to do anything about the oil consumption issues I'm having saying I'm not under warrantee. They also refused to do anything about the rust issues. They told me the rust I'm getting is ok. They also provided inaccurate information on my invoice after my oil change saying they completed a car wash when the Service Rep told me they couldn't do one because the machine was broken. Why include it on the invoice then? Dishonest practices all around. read more

After I addressed major communication issues and poor sales service ie the salesman not acknowledging my wife. I was punished by the sales manager Dennie denying me the monthly promotion for purchasing a vehicle and given a dirty vehicle with half a tank of gas. Since the purchase I've never been contacted by the dealership (over a month now). Simply take your money and politely tell you to F off. I am not sure if the bodyshop is owned by the same management, but my experience here has been horrible. I had a job that was valued at $6,000 and I had used parts placed in my car. Basically, parts that was not seen below the car was "used". My transmission was replaced without my knowledge. The used transmission is worse than my original one. It is not as smooth & it is quite knotty. I brought this up to the shop manager & he promised to get everything fixed. Basically he lied, just like the Assistant Manager. Saying things were done when they weren't. The manager said he would replace my transmission housing but I just went under my car & its the same old transmission. He promised he would update all the recalls in my car but it wasn't updated. I spent time chasing my tail with these guys & it seems like they will take you for a ride. Totally dismissed our concerns about idle and fan not working well. Told us nothing they could do. I guess we will go to another dealer then. Asked for a car wash to be done and return after the call and confirming everything done to find out reception didn't bother to check. So we are waiting now for it to be finished. They took a cloth to the side and wiped the car. It's worse then when we brought it in. One dirty strip is what they call a wash. Edwin says it's a complimentary wash not a detailing. read more

I bought a 2016 Veloster and upgraded the warranty for 8 years or 160, 000 kms. 4 years later and 106,000 kms I called for the 24 hr roadside assistance only to be told my warranty expired. After 3 phone calls and 4.5 hrs later my car was finally boosted. Dealership had not updated the roadside people. After calling (Again) to complain they said that this had happened before and they are not sure what the problem is (really?). They apologized and said there was nothing more they could go. I have just reported them to the Better Business Bureau. Terrible experience and customer service. I won't be going back! read more

I have bought so far three of this cars, but for sure this will be the last one. I took my car to scheduled service, and one service advisor told me that the vehicle inspection was performed and the 19 points inspection was done. However 6 days later, with a car that is new, there was a Malfunction Indicator Lamp illuminated Then another person of the same dealer told me that the battery was not working well. Hyundai Advertise a battery that has a life time between 3 to 5 years, assuming that Hyundai is not so strict and that this is jus a 90% level of confidence (because normal variation of data). This means that the probability that the battery has a life time of 2.5 years or less is very small, around 0.006. However I needed to change my battery with less than 2.5 years in a car that I have driven less than 25,000 km. read more

The sales person Rish is a great person to work with. I have nothing but good things to say about her. But her manager should be FIRED immediately. Rish shows me a sell sheet of the Ioniq 5 that I wanted to purchase with cash. I've done my research and I know I should be paying $60k. The manager gives Rish a sell sheet with a total of $73k. I take a look at it and said... I don't want the extended warranty, I don't want rust proofing and the list goes on... I wish I kept the sell sheet. Rish goes to her manager then comes back saying that the manager won't take anything off. It was a take it or leave it approach. Who in their right mind offers this type of customer service? This was from a visit to the dealership on February 7, 2022 at approximately 4pm. I ended up not buying the car because they tried to force an additional $13,000 on top of what I was willing to pay. I showed Rish the price on the Hyundai website on my phone as I did the build there. Until they FIRE that manager, I urge anyone and everyone to stay away because they will ROB YOU BLIND. FIRE THAT SALES MANAGER!!!!! I drove all the way from Mississauga to this dealership only to leave in disappointment. My wife is a registered nurse and she was rear ended and her car is a write off. We're trying to find a nice car for her to commute to work and this dealership left a sour taste in my mouth. Update on Feb 9: SO.. Ruben Santiago called me yesterday to apologize for the miscommunication and said that he will call me back with updated numbers. Today I get a call back with an updated number of $66k. Remember that this is a $60k car including taxes and freight. He informs me that when a customer cancels an order, there is a penalty and he tells me that there's a miscommunication from when I went to the dealership the other day. Bull F*CKING sh*t... Here's the deal folks.. When a customer cancels a preorder, they will pass the penalty over to the next person who buys the car. Make sure you build the car on the Hyundai website to make sure that you're not getting ripped off or FORCED into paying way more then you planned. This penalty is imaginary and extra $$ for the dealership.. They will do anything for a buck. Why do I call the penalty imaginary? Because the car isn't even at the dealership yet. The dealership will get this car in 6 to 8 weeks. Therefore this penalty is padding the owner's wallet with extra cash. DO NOT BUY THE IONIQ 5 (full electric car). If you want one, place an order and wait. This is the worst service ever by any dealership that I've been to. I've never been to a Hyundai before and I never will because of this dealership. Here's icing on the cake... When I went to this dealership the initial day and I was sitting at the salesperson's desk, one of the employees was laughing and pointing at me because he thought that I purchased a used car at this dealership that broke down and never made it off the lot. That speaks volumes about the type of cars at this dealership. APOLOGY NOT ACCEPTED FROM THIS DEALERSHIP BECAUSE THEY DON'T KNOW THE TRUE MEANING OF CUSTOMER SERVICE. The salesman & his manager were incompetent and couldn't give an answer to most any question. Couldn't even explain their own warranty, let alone provide any kind of customer service. Asking a relevant question about a car you're actually buying? Hmmm.. expect a shoulder shrug & a look like you have 3 heads; the implication being - why are you asking about this car, just buy it and leave me to my next sale! My wife was treated like she was invisible (literally - they looked right through her when she asked questions), even though she was the main buyer - ladies, avoid this place like the plague. I'm thinking they survive just because people buy Hyundai - otherwise, I can't imagine how this level of dim-wittiness and ennui is able to keep a business running. It's like walking into a business staffed by a random family and their kids. Actually, that's not being fair to kids - there are lots of smart kids out there; but you get the point re: their level of sophistication & knowledge of their own product. The sales staff fled as soon as they found out I was looking to buy in weeks, rather that THAT VERY SECOND, NO QUESTIONS ASKED, PLEASE JUST TAKE MY MONEY. The only person who would waste his precious time with me was a chap who worked for Hyundai Corporate office. Since he wasn't a salesman, he couldn't get me quotes, or even answer all of my questions without checking with the sales manager. The sales manager by the way looked like a Mad Men wannabe, all he was missing was an Old Fashioned and a toothpick. I digress. I finally had enough and walked out when a bored salesman who seemed to hate his life wouldn't give me a quote without me giving all of my contact information. I got my car from this place 6 months ago, they offered me a used car as certified car, after 6 months I took my car as BSD check was on the car from a few months ago, they sold me full warranty for over 5K. Then their service department showed me that car frame is bent on the bottom! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS STEALER-ship for service!!!!!!!!! They screwed me so hard. I went here to get my 96 k car maintenance package done, and during the service noticed I needed a new caliper. I agreed to have that done which ended up costing me a lot of extra money. I leave the dealership and my car is rattling, a few days later I take my car into another mechanic to see what the deal is. Apparently this Hyundai dealership forgot to bolt the calliper down, I even looked at it, it was really loose!! I called Hyundai back and spoke to an employee there and they seem not to care at all, claiming it probably wasn't even there fault. I'm shocked with the service here, this experience only reinforces the belief that dealerships will cheat and steal any way they can and provide crummy services for expensive prices. On a side note, the entire time I was there waiting while my car was serviced I had to listen to the staff working bitch and complain about customers, work problems, etc. etc. It was really annoying and unprofessional there was one employee there in particular who constantly was complaining about customer requests and work issues. I purchased a pre-owned Accent from this dealership just over a year ago. When all 3 of my brake lights went out simultaneously last week, I contacted them with regard to bringing the car in to be serviced. Without asking me for my VIN/purchasing/ownership information or looking up my file, I was told that there was no recall notice for my model... but that if there WERE, they likely wouldn't get the replacement parts in for months. I asked the service rep if I was supposed to just keep driving around with no brake lights, to which she responded that she would try to get an advisor to call me back, "but they probably won't." When I asked why not, I was told that she "gives these guys messages all the time, but they never call anyone back. You can try calling us again in an hour or so if you don't hear anything." I wasn't even offered an appointment to come in and have the issue diagnosed. After hanging up, I immediately contacted another dealership who scheduled me into their soonest available appointment. This was 5 days ago and Kingscross Hyundai STILL has not called me back. read more

We, my husband and I dealt with Mike. I give a zero star for all that I had to go through. We walked in to Kingcross Hyundai at 10 in the morning to check Hyundai Tucson as we are expecting our first baby this August. So, yes, I am visibly pregnant and I am definitely not there to waste my time just talking about the look and feel of a car. Like any new customer we were there to talk money. Everyone walks into a showroom to look at the interiors, understand what best a dealer can offer them for the available variants. But unfortunately, Mike was in no way interested to show us the car neither talk to us about anything relevant. He only had a bunch of useless questions for us, like if we are from India or Bangladesh or Pakistan and if we drove a car before or if we owned a car back home and if having an Air conditioner was our priority. This totally made no sense to me, however I initially thought these were questions he liked to ask. But as time progressed, everything we asked about the car was more of a no, "we dont have that or this", "you are in the initial phase of looking for SUV, so you do your research and come back" - yes, that is exactly what he said. He was totally reluctant to answer to any of our questions. I asked Mike for a model line-up with quotations. He told us the store doesnt have one at the moment. That was totally surprising to me. I then tried to narrow down to just FWD variants to make his job easier for which he told me he cannot show me all the variants and all the colors. Seriously? Was I even him to show me the cars? Definitely not. I asked for a freaking piece of paper with the line up and cost. This is what any salesperson would have offered us. We were there only because we were seriously thinking to upgrade to an SUV and Tucson was our top list. Thanks to Mike, we will never ever go back to Kingcross neither would recommend this center to any of our friends. I understand we were not suited up and are brown skinned. If Mike's judgement was totally based on the way we looked - I am sorry you are a terrible person Mike. We have been to many dealers in the past. You were a total disappointment. Going forward, if you decide to judge someone based on their skin tone, please be upfront with them that you are in no way interested to show them the car neither help them with their questions. This will save you and the customer a lot of time and energy. A 24 weeks pregnant woman would not be at your store if she wasn't seriously thinking about buying one. Thank you for trying so hard to shove us out of the showroom as quickly as you could. I will never ever forget the mental trauma you put me through this morning. You shall reap what you sow. Bought a new 2007 Santa Fe from this place back in Oct 2007. I could still vividly remember how excited I was picking up a new car after I traded in my 8yr old Civic Si coupe, however, the excitement all of sudden went from joy to disappointment in a hurry. The PDI (pre-delivery inspection) that I paid for did little to reveal and fix any manufacturing flaws before the customer receives the product. There were numerous defects too obvious to the naked-eye to mention (mismatch coloured side mirror - I kid you not, loose fabric on the door trim, improper bumper fitment, paint chips, discoloration on the bumper, etc, etc. ). I miss Japanese vehicles. My next car after this will be a Subaru, Honda or Toyota. Not Hyundai. They still have a long ways go to convince me to buy another Hyundai. And not coming back to Kingscross again. Did I mention they tried to sneak in a $400 dollar charge on the final bill for police trace of my car in case it was stolen but was never explained to me before hand? I quickly acted and had it canceled. It was very cunning of them. And watch out for extras they want to sell you at a premium. Don't take any. read more

After reading the reviews I was thinking of not going to Kingscross Hyundai. So glad I didn't go by the reviews. I wanted to buy a pre-owned Elantra, and the staff were more then helpful. There was no pressure to look at a new car. The salesman Joanathan, showed me the cars available, discussed pros and cons of all, took,us on test drives and then left us alone to decide if we were interested,in buying. We got a really good price on the purchase, the car was spotless on pick up and Kingscross Hyundai has two customers who will come back again, and recommend this dealership to both friends and family. read more

Horrible customer service, do not recommend. Car was not starting, made arrangements to have the car towed into their service dept. For repairs using their regular towing co. Diagnosed worn starter motor replacement was $500. Upon pick up hubby noticed a silver trim missing along the driver side window. Manager claimed car came into the lot as such therefore not responsible. Replacement is additional $150. I spoke to Jeremy, immediately he blamed us for the damages. Told him to check with the tow truck driver as he is witness that there was no damage prior. He claims the lot is not secure, no cameras or gate. We followed instructions from his staff and understood this to be standard protocol. He referenced public parking lots are not liable for vandalism and same goes for them even if it happened on their property overnight. Not the same, dealerships accept responsibility for their clients vehicles while in their care. No one informed us their lot was susceptible to vandalism overnight or about the missing trim and scratch. He claimed someone told us about the missing trim....no such thing. Spoke to their staff 4 x that day and NOT once did they mention about the trim and scratch on the bottom front of the car. Having been disrespected, bounced back and forth they still expect me to pay for damages created while in their care is simpy ludicrous. Bottom line is full disclosure was not given therefore our choice to make an informed decision to leave the car in the lot was denied. Their claim does not negate their legal responsibility to my vehicle while on their property. We are existing clients and this is how they treat us! We haven't even started to discuss the scratch! read more

If only I could give less than a star I will. One of their staff, Jamir, never welcome you and just give you straight answers like yer or no. Not even detailed to the car and if you becomes bold or specific to even just any engine questions to a car, he will change the topic like "but the color is nice" so unprofessional. I was just really like the car and research about it by myself that's why I'm fully decided when I went to a dealership near me.
