Even on a Sunday evening, King Food was bustling and we had to wait a little bit for a table. They are nice about splitting the tab and you just pay at the counter when finished but keep in mind that it's cash only.
I ordered the beef brisket noodle soup and even though I liked the beef brisket, the broth and noodle soup could not compare to the one I tried in Taiwan. I was a bit disappointed. It just lacked the punch in the flavor and the noodles were just not chewy enough for me. I don't want to dismiss it completely as the beef brisket was tender and easy to eat. It's a huge portion so order it if you're hungry!
The best dish I tried was the fried flounder. The sauce they give you to put on top of it was super tasty. The selection of Taiwanese dishes is so vast that I feel like I need to try out a few more dishes.
Definitely worth trying out if you're in Sunnybank. read more
