Yelp Sydney...thanks! Stayed in the Wooloomooloo area and found the perfect steakhouse .5 miles away from the hotel I was staying at. We were hungry and the first open time slot for "online" reservation the day of was at 815pm. Too late for me as i was starving. I picked up the phone and called in and they gave me some earlier options! Score! If you've never been in the area where Kingsley's is, you need to go. It's a small boardwalk down a line of warehouses and restaurants. Kingsley's is down and almost the last restaurant down the row from the street. Prices for steaks here were reasonable. Awesome steaks! U loved my Wagyu rib eye which was cooked to perfection...my only gripe was that the steak was too small for my hearty appetite! :) $50+ AUD for about 350 grams of beef. Couple it with the peppercorn butter sauce. Its to die for. I didn't like their chimichurri (sp?) too much as it was too tangy. I ordered the side of mushrooms as well...awesome! Good service, delicious Aussie steaks and a great atmosphere. Only wish my steak was bigger!!! :)

Amazing location, wonderful service, delicious food with an extensive wine list. The oysters with ginger lime dressing were devine, as were the scallops and calamari. Steaks were fabulous and accompanied by some lovely red wines. Barramundi was also beautiful. Such a gorgeous experience.

I was wondering around Sydney looking for a place I could have my birthday dinner and the words "Steak and Crabhouse" stood out. Two amazing things! Our waiter was very attentive and fun. We ordered the chilled crab legs as an appetizer to share and they were very fantastic. A lot of yummy crab meat! I had never had them chilled before, but they were very good. The complementary garlic bread was so yummy too. Then we had steaks (I can't remember which one I got :() But the steaks were yummy, I remember. The prices were a little high but I feel like I can't judge a year later because I'm used to cheaper prices here in the states. It was a very reasonably priced meal considering how fancy the restaurant was and the awesome location (right off cowper wharf road overlooking the city right on the water). Gosh I really miss Sydney!

Had dinner here as we were staying at an Airbnb place at Finger Wharf. All the places along here have the marina view, on a winter's eve all have portable heaters cranked up on high. We didn't plan ahead but was told Kingsley was pretty good so thought we'd try our luck. Most outdoor tables were taken (although we preferred inside) we were just happy they said there would be one in 10 mins. Reasonable drinks list, decent selection of local and international wines. A few craft beers available by the bottle. We were seated by a very boisterous group of about 15 that grew to 20 as the night wore on. The manager apologised when showing us to the table. It was manageable, however by the time we had finished our entrees (around 9.30), the punters at the tables were shouting at each other. As their group grew they took chairs from surrounding tables and tacked on to the table, which in turn means there was no space for the group nor wait staff to walk around. There was plenty of attention to this large table, but it took some serious attempts for us make eye contact with staff to ask if we could shift to one of the empty tables, away from the group. Moving from there to another service black hole (no napkins, couldn't get a napkin), we finished our meals and again exercised almost superpower stares to get the bill. The floor manager acknowledged the various issues when we were paying our bill. Then explained how we could pay a tip on top of our $280 meal. It was hard not to laugh out loud. Decent food, nice location. Weird mix of punters (being Friday pre-Kings Cross?). Service lacking. Would've been 4 stars.

Three stars for food, rounding up to 4 stars for overall experience to factor in for nice staff and entertaining people watching. I was immediately disappointed at my server's lack of familiarity with the wine list (I wanted local only), but being the solutions-oriented professional she is, she recognized that and poured me generous tastes of a number of wines - score! This is a nice choice if you want to get a little bit away from the immediate tourist areas, enjoy nice dining atmosphere along a great pier, have live entertainment (aka people hustle/bustle watching) and eat get your Aussie meat sweats on! PS the chef's favorite cut, med rare, is what I got and it didn't disappoint.

Great spot in Wolloomooloo along the water. We had to eat inside as it was full outside. It was not so nice of atmosphere inside as it felt crowded and loud...but outside would have been perfect. Food was very good. I had the Filet. Tuna as a starter was outstanding. Staff not overly friendly but it was a full house and they seemed stretched. Easy to get taxi back to hotel at end of pier. I would go back.

Szechuan prawn entree size with 2 prawn costs 22 bucks

Pepper prawn as starter, 22 dollars with 3 prawn? Kinda rip off but I Love their steak tartar with that truffle aioli!! U can order is mixed or non-mixed. That aioli is the main point! I would buy one bottle home! Steak is always perfectly cooked. Roasted pumpkin is lovely. Dessert list is not that amaze only creme brûlée, but it was a disappointment. It was not set! Sugar brûlée is too thick! 2 time dine there I think it enough

Kingsleys is situated on a wharf and the atmosphere is absolutely beautiful on a sunny afternoon. I ordered the chilli crab, however thought it needed more spice and kick to it (it was a little on the sweet side). We also ordered a few entrees which were packed with flavour. My brother ordered the rib eye steak but thought it lacked juice. Overall beautiful experience!

Unfortunately, the place we wanted to go was booked out for a function so we decided to call up Char & Co because they were within walking distance and just out luck they had a table for two outside near the heaters. Good comeback considering it was 6.30pm on a Saturday night and most places would be already booked by then. As we arrived there was only a group indoors and a couple outside. By the time 7pm rolled around the placed was full! You can choose either a Churrasco style from $55 per person or just order whatever you like for entrees, mains etc. We ordered some Asa De Frango (Spicy chicken wings & Chilli sauce) $14 and Pao (Warm sourdough & extra virgin and balsamic) $3pp to start, whilst we waiting for more friends to arrive. Chicken wings were the bees knees! Not overly spicy but just enough to feel the tingle on your lips! :P For drinks I got the Guava tree (Absolut vanilla, aperol, lemon juice & guava) and my friend Emma got the passionfruit, chilli & basil Caipiroska both $17. The Guava tree was amazing - think of a warm summer afternoon at the beach or a venue with water views with this cocktail in hand. The Guava tree was that good that by the time the rest of the group arrived we ordered 3 more and a Char & Co margarita. It appeared the restaurant was a bit understaffed as after the cocktails the girls wanted a bottle of red but it took them 10 minutes to bring it out! When a different waiter brought it out she apologised and said that didn't expect it to be a full house. Emma and I opted to get mains whilst the other girls preferred to get starters to share as they weren't too hungry. I got the Porco (Mojo pork sholder, chipotle barbecue, grilled pineapple & red cabbage slaw) came with shoestring fries $19 and Emma got the Frango. Burger was d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s! It was messy and saucy and there was good amount of pork shoulder. Shoestring fries crispy and light. I had to bail straight after but left on a happy note. Overall, it was a great first visit, staff were very friendly when they came around to our table. I was a wee bit disappointed I didn't have the time nor the stomach capacity to get the Churros with warm callebaut chocolate & Dulce De Leche! Oh well, this just gives me an excuse to visit again :D. Ciao!

Of course, the Churasco is 'the' way to go if you want to experience the Brazilian variety of meats, sausage and prawns. And that requires a minimum of two people ordering..... Everything was super de-lish. Several side dishes also de-lish! I'm guessing my next time here I will try a regular entree since the Churasco was way too much for me. I believe sides are ala carte in that case. So why only 4 stars, you might ask? Even though we were seated immediately, the service was rather slow. The place did have other patrons but definitely not bustling...so no reason for slow service. Wait staff was a mix of slightly aloof to slightly friendly. Parking is metered street parking unless you want to park at the covered garage on Cross Street which is a very short stroll around the corner. All in all, a good meal in an intimate setting...

Fine dining with fantastic panoramic views over Bondi and towards the city. The main cuisine of choice for this joint is large slabs of meat. Steak is there speciality but they offer a range of other options such as Vegetarian plates, Burgers, Ribs and Sea food too. I have been here a few times and I usually tend to go here when I want a hit of protein in the form of man size steak. On this occasion I was dining with some work colleagues and we decided we would order a few different options in order to get the best of all worlds. We decided to order the Salmon with a baked potato, Sirloin Steak 350gm with steamed Vegetables and the Seafood platter. Like a good team we had every base covered. Before our dinners came out we were provided with Kelly's famous complimentary bread. The bread is really sweet and melts in your mouth and excellent to get you excited for the mains. The salmon was grilled to perfection and the staff even asked how we wanted it cooked. I only recently found out some people like salmon raw on the inside ( still unsure why ! Go for sushi if you want raw fish ). It was beautiful and really fresh. The sirloin was very tender and juicy. The Steaks always come with deep fried onions on the side and the steamed vegetables were just steamed enough and still hard in a good way. The seafood platter was the stand out dish very surprisingly considering that Kelly's isn't known specifically for seafood. The platter was packed with calamari, mussels, John Dory, prawns and all upon a bed of fried rice. The fish was so good it tasted as if it was probably happy swimming in the deep blue sea that morning before making its way onto our plates. The service in this place was very good and the wait staff were easy to be got when ever we needed assistance.
