Ribeye

Came here while in Sydney. Yummy steaks and potatoes. Asparagus was just a tiny portion. Got a bottle of wine. My husband enjoyed it, was not my favorite. It's down a little alley way off the street. Sat in the corner a little dark. But romantic

Wagga Wagga Angus Eye Fillet (200g)

Hit-or-miss at every step of food & service. The Sydney Rock Oysters were a nice start. The Wagga Wagga Angus Eye Fillet was delicious! We ordered medium-rare and it was more on the rare side, but was tender and flavorful. The Grasslands Pasture-Fed Ribeye was a disappointment though - a little tough and under-seasoned. The pepper sauce was delicious but the béarnaise sauce was blander than any béarnaise from New York or Paris. Our waitress was very nice and knowledgeable, but she was also the ONLY waitstaff working the entire dinner service so everyone got little attention after their initial order. She had seating customers, taking orders, cutting bread, setting silverware, settling checks, and delivering wine. It took us an age to get our check after we finished our main courses (we skipped dessert because it took so long!). There are some gems here, but understaffing and inconsistency in quality left room for improvement.

Friendly and delicious! I like this place's humble atmosphere:) We enjoyed and celebrated out 10th anniversary.

Work booked out a private room at Kingsley's for us to enjoy ourselves after yet another busy period. FOOD The menu was set with a choice of two different mains and dessert. I think all the girls chose the Petite Fillet (160g) whilst all the guys chose the Rib-Eye (300g) bar my pregnant colleague who has the luxury of eating for two. To be honest the steaks weren't anything you couldn't get at another steakhouse. The dessert was a choice between the crème brulee or the pavlova. The initial crack through the caramel set off my sweet buds but by the middle of it I was getting impatient with how long my tea was taking as I wanted something a bit bitter to break up the sweetness. OVERALL I had an enjoyable night but more due to the private room and service rather than the food.

Pork belly starter. Perhaps the best pork belly I've had. Soft meat, crispy skin.

everything happens for a reason…read more bistecca was not meant to be and under their redirection, i get to try out a new steak joint! a much more casual, what you see is what you get kinda place. a patio drinking and waiting before getting seated area, or for those who just want a drink and some simple bar bites? a spacious interior with a bar as centre piece divider offset to the left. a small dj console to the other side on the right but well manned by a hot dj! sat at the bar without reservations, no worries mate! fun and chatty bar/wait staff entertains. simple menu, one cut of beef(sirloin), not my favourite :( special of the day was another cut(spit roast beefetta) but sold out early on :( staff reassured that their sirloin has been aged and that i would enjoy it's tenderness. ordered two half portion sides(because i wanted to try more), an alfie's bubble and squeak slaw and also a roast mushrooms to accompany my lonely 220g sirloin with green mustard(unique), medium rare. but first up, scones and butter! definitely whipped up my appetite. oh yes, the phone camera was happy too, no need to hand it over ala bisteccca. a cute french wait staff brought my chow not too long after. and it was a satisfying one. was also told to save space for dessert, which i did and did not regret. a f**k off gelato-on-a-stick - burnt honey, beef fat, rosemary, a collab with ciccone & sons. definitely can so do this all day! ;) if sirloin is your thing, alfie's a win!

The restaurant is right on the Darling Harbor with two floors that looks out towards the harbor…read more The food menu looks like a cleaver, which is neat. This was 1 of the best meals we've had here in Sydney with a great waterfront view Staff is nice and a great dining experience. My wife and I shared the Lamb Hook and a side of fries. The fries had some rosemary salt on them and were very good. The Lamb Hook was amazing. There were big chunks of lamb that was lightly seasoned and cooked to a medium temperature. The meat was tender and very good. The salad had a nice tasting vinaigrette and the meal also came with a gravy that complimented the lamb very well. The food was amazing. Everything the servers brought out to the surrounding tables all looked good as well. I definitely recommend coming here to eat. The prices are reasonably affordable too.

The mid outweighs the good here. Met a family friend here for dinner and we were a group of 7. Food…read moretook a bit of time but it wasn't too bad considering how busy they were. We were seated downstairs in their covered outdoor seating area. They also have indoor seating upstairs. Service wasn't too bad overall but they really could have checked on us more often after they had delivered our food. The food was kind of mixed. A couple in the group had ordered steaks and they were bland and tough. I ordered the Kangaroo for the table and we got that medium rare. Super tender and while it could have used more seasoning, the sauce we got with it paired perfectly. For myself I got the burger and beef ribs combo. For me this is where things go down hill. The beef ribs were TOUGH, hard to bite through and get off of the bone. As for the burger it was pretty dry but luckily I had the sauce from the kangaroo to fix that. I can say that the fries were perfectly cooked though. They have a number of cocktails to choose from but the beer menu was pretty limited.

Had a wonderful birthday meal here…read more First things first, they do book up so definitely make a reservation. Inside has a more formal ambiance we appreciated, but outside - assuming no cruise ship in the way - is probably the way to go for views, as we requested an inside top floor table with a view and didn't get much of one; turns out not many tables inside with a view. Service was mostly good but oddly slow in a few spots, the wine list was on iPad, and our pomme puree (mashed potatoes) came quite late. Steak was very good. MB7+ tomahawk is a terrific presentation, perfectly cooked to your specification, and described in detail. If you want the very highest quality (MB9) unfortunately thay was not on the menu when we visited, but it was surprisingly difficult find higher than MB7 on the regular menu of any of their competitors so I digress... (keyword: regular) Rest of the food was excellent. Little gem salad and chips are included with your tomahawk, the pomme puree was deliciously creamy if you like creamy mashed potatoes, broccolini hit the spot. And the scallops, while modest in appearance, won high praise. As someone who normally has a hard time going out for steak, given I can almost always make a better one at home, I do have to say that for a special occasion, 6HEAD was on the mark.

I'd say save your money and try somewhere else, unfortunately. Our waiter disappeared after our dishes were delivered and the restaurant was near empty. We literally never saw her again. Had to ask other waiters for things. I truly think we were forgotten about. The one good thing is the view of the opera house, but honestly there are so many restaurants that have nice views, so I'd pick a different one.
