My positive experiences with Dr. Couch and his staff have reduced my fear of the dentist, and I look forward to my future visits. First review: 5 stars! I've had a lot of bad dental experiences in the past, so I had a lot of trepidation about getting a temporary crown today. Dr. Couch listened to my concerns and took action to make me comfortable throughout the procedure. I felt seen and heard, and had one of the best dental experiences of my life. Is it possible to ENJOY your dental experience? It is if you've gone to Kingston Dental. This office is filled with people that care about you as a patient, and genuinely enjoy their job. Even my son, who's usually a "white knuckler" when it comes to going to the dentist, came out smiling. It's definitely a plus that they offer "happy gas" for those of us that have deep seated issues when it comes to dental care. I have been a happy client for years, probably 10 or more. The entire staff is always professional, friendly and thoughtful. Dr. Couch has been clear in his explanations to me. He did wonders for me with the Invisalign system for straightening my teeth. The effects of Covid-19 might have left many Dental offices in dire straits, which in turn would effect their service quality, but not at Kingston Dental. Dr. Sean Couch has built an amazing team that continues to be top, cohesive and caring in spite of difficult times. Dr. Couch takes a lot of pride in his work. He values his patients and doesn't shy away from using the latest technology to achieve his goals. As a teacher in Germany and a patient for more than 10 years, I have chosen Kingston Dental because it's where I can expect the very best dentistry and treatment. Recently, I had an appointment to get a cap. Dr. Couch's assistant, Heather, offered Niroxide, entertained me by talking and put chapstick on my lips. Then, a shot was gently administered. After some time, Dr. Couch discovered that the permanent cap color, prepared by another employee, was not quite right. He told me so, used an app to find the perfect color, and re-ordered a new one in spite of what it would cost to have one re-made. My family has been going to Dr. Couch for over 5 years. We all have had great experiences with both the doctor and his staff. He is the first dentist I have seen more than just a time or two. When coming in the office I get greeted by name which I think is important. I have had both hygienist clean my teeth, both great! I had a very bad experience with Dr. Couch. I called and asked the receptionist if I could just come in for cleanings and that I travel to use a dentist in Seattle. She said that was fine. I go in for my cleaning and they had me in there for almost 3 hours. While Im at the appointment they send out an email saying to expect a long visit! They proceed to stick all kinds of uncomfortable contraptions in my mouth and take a bunch of pictures..( lawsuits?) Never had that experience at any of the dozens of dentists I've been to. Then the dentist comes in and says he wants to take X Rays. I say no i am not getting radiation for no reason, you dont need XRays to do a cleaning. He continues to argue with me on it for 20 more minutes.Very condescending. Then it was on with the cleaning finally. The hygienist wasn't awful but I was mocked for not wanting toxic flouride or abrasive and pointless tooth polishing (this is why I go to a holistic dentist who understands these things). Then horrible doctor Couch comes in to lecture me some more about the XRays and proceed with his exam that has no purpose because I dont want him as my dentist!! He scrapes hard on a tooth, pulling something out on his tool and wipes it off.Doesnt say anything about it. I paid. I finally leave and feel some crazy nerve pain starting in the tooth and find he pulled out my filling I had on my gum line. So I went to my regular dentist to fix that obviously. A couple months later I get a super rude letter in the mail threatening to "take action" on the 7 dollars I owe that they never sent a bill out for! And they continue to send me emails that its time for my next exam! Yeah right! read more

I have tossed around whether or not I should speak up about this office because there is one dental assistant that is amazing and I hope all the best for her, BUT...If you are a federal worker and have FedBlue Regence, stay away from this office. Our family has fedblue as well as a supplemental dental insurance. I called before I first took my youngest daughter here to verify they took our insurances, they said they did. What they didn't mention was that they were not a preffered provider for our FedBlue Regence Insurance. I was led to believe that the amount our family would be financially responsible for was the amount quoted to me, which I paid at time of care. This has turned into a HUGE MESS. I have had to become the middle man between the business office and our insurances. Having Insurance fax EOBs to one and another and the dental business office, I guess because it's hard? I've been given erroneous dates of care. If flags had flown immediately, I would have chalked it up to a learning experience, but I didn't find out anything was wrong with insurance/business office until Octoberish I think? for work that was done in January and March of last year! When I told the person in the office that I had had insurance my whole life and that this was the first time I had to act as my own insurance liaison, the person I spoke to insinuated that I had somehow pilfered checks from the insurance company! I have never received a check from an insurance company. I have never had to talk to my insurance company(s) before Kingston Dental. Bananas! Again stay away if you are a federal employee and have Regence FedBlue! read more
