At the time, I was working a desk job during the day and going to grad school at night, and my carpal tunnel symptoms had become so bad that I was trying everything-- chiropractic, physical therapy, even considering surgery--in order to finish school while managing the pain. So, I am not exaggerating when I say that working with Sunny was my saving grace. Massage nearly eliminated my carpal tunnel symptoms and, over time with consistent work from Sunny, did more in the end for BOTH my physical and mental wellbeing than any other intervention I had tried. So, if you struggle with any kind of physical pain (Sunny works a lot with people who have sports injuries, active lifestyles, or need bodywork done for proper recovery and maintenance), I would recommend going to Sunny for pain management massage. He works wonders, and his massage was like magic for my wrists. His business partner, Melissa, is also phenomenal, and does incredible full-body relaxation massage. If you are new to massage, or simply new to the clinic, I would recommend trying both Sunny and Melissa, to see whose technique you prefer and whose style your body responds to better. She took care in working on my tight upper back muscles during my one hour massage but also paid attention to my whole body too. The massage oils she used for the treatment were pleasantly scented and not over-bearing. The warm moist towels she put on my feet after my foot massage was also a nice touch. I found the massage to be both relaxing and therapeutic. It was also nice that she had multiple ways of paying. I had forgotten my check book, but I was able to pay with my credit card, so that was very convenient.

Unfortunately I started my period the morning of the massage, and when I let Anicha know she became extremely concerned with my comfort levels. She allowed me to switch to a table massage instead of the originally planned Thai massage, and even consulted with him while I was changing to make sure I was okay keeping the appointment and wasn't just being polite. She was just really concerned that I would be uncomofortable and wouldn't get the most out of the massage. That actual massage was amazing! She used an excellent amount of pressure (I like really intense pressure) and basically worked through 2 years worth of postdocing-in-a-pandemic stress that has accumulated in my shoulders, lol. At the end, she wished me happy birthday and gave me a little trinket souvenir from Thailand. So sweet! I am sad that I didn't find Anicha sooner since I am moving out of MPLS, but I highly recommend her if you are looking for a really nice, deep, effective massage.
