When I went up to the register to ask them to pull that piece of furniture I also asked to use the restroom at which point I was told I would need to exit the store and go a block down, ON MY WALKER, to another store (a meat market), that I had zero plans to purchase from. So I was told to take my walker down to the meat market to pee, not purchase anything and then come back to them to buy furniture from them...um nope!!! They got to keep their furniture and I got in my car and went to my next location where I bought several items after I used their bathroom without them complaining about it (while I was in the restroom the staff at the next place even hunted down specific pieces for me to look at - the difference in the customer service was amazing). My husband and I spend several hundred a weekend at antique stores without counting random furniture pieces (could be $500-$1,000 for those pieces) and we return to our favorites on the regular...this place never again!

Elite just did not want to make the saddles I ordered. I kept getting excuses after excuses, as to why they were not going to repair the saddles. Finally I had to hire an attorney. For years I would go to Denny Sergeants in Pilot Point, TX and drool over the saddles but at the prices they had I just could not afford one. Then the place went out of business. Then I found out the saddlemaker who actually made the Silver Mesas had opened up a saddle shop in Tioga Tex with his son. Both are name Raimundo Blanco and both are very concerned with saddle quality and that it fits the person buying it. I bought a headstall at first for a very reasonable price of around $50 then by saving my money and selling some other saddles, I was able to buy an Elite saddle. I could not afford silver accents but it does have some nice conchos and tooling and it is pretty enough for show. Went in today to have some repairs done on an old show halter made by someone else and saw a saddle they were working on. (Time to drool some more!) It was priced about 3800 which was reasonable knowing how much Silver Mesas sold for and how much other saddle makers sell theirs for. I highly recommend these saddles.
