I hired this company to install a fireplace, and from start to finish, it was a frustrating experience. Once I paid the down payment, the company's attitude completely shifted. Cindy, the lady that runs the office, was rude, dismissive, and frankly, condescending. Darin, the owner, "forgot" several commitments that were made during the quoting process, leaving us with an incomplete installation. I ended up having to either finish the work myself or hire other professionals to get the job done right -- including moving electrical, rebuilding the hearth base, and even hiring a roofer to fix the improperly installed chimney collar. This entire process left me feeling misled, overcharged, and really disappointed in the quality of both the service and the professionalism. If you decide to work with this company, make sure you get every single detail in writing and double-check everything. I would not hire them again. Would not recommend.

My mother had contacted a different HVAC company to come clear her dryer pipe for clogged lint and a bird's nest. It was a constant worry for me that her house was at risk for a dryer fire. When we called the other company in Sept 2025, they said they would be by in a few days to give a quote. They never showed up, never called back. So this week, at my insistence, she called Pointon H & AC. One day later they came to view the situation and give a quote. Instead, J.T. Pfaff saw that the problem was a bird's nest, removed the bird's nest, tested that the pipe was clean, and charged nothing. Even leaving a calendar for my mother, in the Christmas spirit. There can be NO BETTER customer service than was provided by J.T. If you ever need a testimonial for anything, I am offering one for you. They admitted that they did not have enough experience to diagnose the issue, and needed to have their boss come out to take a look and would charge us, not only for their time and not being able to diagnose the problem, but an additional cost to have the boss come out for a look and diagnosis. We chose to end things there and go with another company. However, even after speaking with the boss and him admitted no services were provided by not being able to even diagnose the problem, we were still charged over $250 for nothing. We are at square one and are going with another company who has guaranteed a diagnosis or there will be no charge. The techs who came out were extremely nice and hard working. I do not fault them for what has happened. I 100% fault the owner and the terrible business practices they have. If someone more experienced had to come after the first techs, but did not charge an additional fee for their own inexperience, I would have gladly paid. Save yourself a lot of time & money - I would highly suggest going elsewhere. PLEASE read other one star reviews because they are EXACTLY what we experienced.

First experience, I was cursed at and given a lesson on what happens to dirt that gets rained on. This was quite informative although quite rude. I needed dirt when it dried not immediately. Needless to say I went elsewhere and was treated like a customer. Now the second time, I did not get cursed at and ordered up the dirt, which I knew would be wet again but announced upon order it had a weeks time to dry if the forecast stuck and supposedly that would work out fine. The day of delivery comes and no dirt. I call. Now this call goes about as well as my first experience, and I'm told I wont get dirt until after the weekend , as if I I were just now ordering this dirt that should already be in my yard because they are too busy. This is why I called ahead of time. Well I had sod coming in on Saturday so thank you very much for the heads up. Now its short notice for anyone else, but I found a way. I cant believe this business has made it this far treating day to day business this way. Never again will I come to this place or anyone associated to them. Found out they were also priced higher then anyone else, so there was a bit of a silver lining. Horrible business. Literally the worst and most unprofessional, unreliable establishment. Not recommended even in an emergency.
