What a difference it makes going on a weekday vs on a weekend. If you have a chance, suggest to go…read moreon a weekday instead. The experience is definitely better. The staff working that day was super nice. She helped me take pic with a cat and also answered questions promptly. She was also very friendly. There are two admission and I chose the one that is $19.99 that includes a drink. There is no option for no ice and it starts at less ice. For sugar, you can customize for no sugar to 100% sugar. There are a number of cats there such as ragdolls, dex Rex, bengal, dsh etc This is not just a cat cafe but also a coffee and dessert shop. There are about 10 tables with chairs and the decor is super cute. PLastic covers need to be wear on your shoes when you go inside the cat room. The good thing about this place that the admission is good for the whole day and you can come back and drop in later until closing time and time certainly flies when in the company of the cats Highly recommend to check them out. The cats are so cute and they seemed to have different cats at times, cats that i haven't seen in my past visits.

Meow Woo Studio is divided into two sections: the cat area, and the cafe where they sell drinks (bubble tea) and some snacks (cakes and muffins). Before going into the cat area you have to put on plastic foot covers and sanitize your hands. There are also optional masks available and lint rollers (for when you leave, also optional). Unfortunately, you can't bring food or drink into the cat area but that makes sense for the safety of the cats. Also, as a quick fyi- the employee in the cat area needs to let you in and out so no cats wander out! There were a ton of cats and plenty of places to sit in the cat area. There are toys you can use to play with the cats and cat treats you can buy at an additional cost. I had a ton of fun petting and watching cats over the course of a few hours! You can't stay as long as you like and you are allowed to come and go as you please throughout the day. Finally, I just wanted to say how friendly the staff is! The individual behind the cafe counter was really nice and brought our drinks to our table when we were ready to have them. The individual in the cat area was obviously really good with the cats but he was also super friendly, having chats with guests and helping kids pet cats. They really help make Meow Woo Studio so inviting and an awesome person place to visit!

We arranged to visit the cats as a treat and enjoyed a superb cup of coffee and lunch today. From the moment we stepped inside, we saw that the café has blended vintage style with modern comfort beautifully, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming. The cozy décor, soft ambiance, and carefully arranged seating make it easy to relax. Moreover, what makes this café especially unique is its thoughtfully designed, separate cat lounge; it offers a calm, enriching environment for its cats. We were able to completely unwind and appreciated their calming presence as we played with rod toys, introduced tube treats, and relaxed when they napped close to us. It was a happy and soothing experience. The Vintage Cat Café is an ideal spot for a leisurely lunch or a cozy coffee break because the menu complements the relaxed atmosphere. We thought that the culinary offerings were impressive, from expertly crafted coffee to a tantalizing selection of homemade pastries and hearty lunchtime treats, and everything is prepared with care and quality in mind. We recommend the spicy chicken wraps, particularly for guests who appreciate food that combines flavour with a hint of heat; these were delicious. Beyond the décor, the cats, and the food, what truly sets this cafe apart is the welcoming, knowledgeable staff who are enthusiastic about exceptional service and animal welfare. We found that their dedication is evident in every interaction with their customers, and this contributes to an experience that feels genuine and heartfelt. The Vintage Cat Cafe is more than just a café; you leave feeling genuinely uplifted, and whether you stop by for the coffee, homemade treats, charming vintage ambiance, or the one-of-a-kind cat lounge, you will have an unforgettable experience. We were planning our next visit before we even walked out the door.

He wanted us to visit a place after our hour of fun to get something to eat or drink. The funds remaining allowed each one of us to get something for $10. He had a rather tight deadline to meet. He asked me whether I could find something with this restriction. First, I dislike restrictions, especially when it comes to food and drink. Second, what can you truly get for $10? Something on McDonald's value menu? I wasn't feeling it. I said that if we wanted to order something more substantial, that we could shell out ourselves. So, my manager's budget covered beverages. For food or more drinks, we had to pay. Done. I presented a list of places nearby. Unicorn Cafe sparked my interest. It's a quirky Asian cafe that offers drinks, snacks, ice cream, poke, and more. He was good with it, so we headed over here after our escape room adventure. I had parked on a side street where it was free, across from East Lynn Park. You can park on Danforth Avenue, but spaces are limited and it's Green P paid parking. Our group of six was greeted by a friendly woman at the front counter. We wanted to dine in. She said to grab any booth and someone would come over. We sat at a booth and admired this unicorn-themed eatery. The woman came over and asked that we look at the menu online. Someone would come over to take our order. We asked for water to begin. She nodded and left. I ordered the following items: - Unicorn croffle with orange sorbet - Black sesame potted plant I was the first person to place my order in the group. My manager heard what I had ordered and wanted the same thing, but with mango ice cream. Others in the group ordered these items: - Uniroll in mango ice cream, topped with chocolate chips and strawberries - Fries - Banh mi - Korean cheese corn - Honeycomb iced latte We never got our water. A man came over to take our orders. He took two items down incorrectly. We asked for water again. He nodded and left. My manager started to cough. He needed water. I had had it. I went up to the counter to politely ask for water for the third time. He came with me, hoping to get some immediately. Luckily, he was okay. I have CPR certification! We did not get our water until ten minutes after this third request. So sad. I had asked this male staffer to put our drink orders on one bill for my boss to claim it. For individual orders, I asked if we could place them with him now. He said later and left. Later never happened. My friend ordered his banh mi online and got it 20 minutes later. I decided to order my croffle that way. It worked, but I was the last person to get both my drink and croffle. Needless to say, service was horrible. The place was short-staffed. Not getting water to start and asking three times for some was appalling. Here's the scoop on what we had ordered and our verdicts: Unicorn croffle with orange sorbet It was excellent. The croffle was crunchy and flaky. I loved the Kawartha Dairy orange sorbet. My boss got Oreos with his croffle. I did not, which was a bummer. Black sesame potted plant It was creative, but okay. I wanted more black sesame flavour, but the crushed Oreo cookie part (the dirt) overpowered everything. Uniroll in mango ice cream, topped with chocolate chips and strawberries I got my colleague to go up to the counter and record a video on how it was made. She did and enjoyed seeing it being prepared. She enjoyed her rolled mango ice cream and the toppings that came with it. Fries My colleague got a huge plate of fries. It became our communal meal. He felt bad that I didn't get my food until an hour later and said that I could have them all. He was so nice, but I didn't inhale them. I had a few. They were crispy and yummy. Honeycomb iced latte My friend got this drink. It had honeycomb sugar on top. He let me have a bit of it. It's the real deal. It was sweet and cool to see. His drink had an espresso shot. He liked it. We are similar in that he felt the drink was too sweet. It could have done without the sugar in the drink itself. The honeycomb sugar on top would have added the perfect sweetness. Banh mi My friend loved his banh mi. The bread was crusty and soft where they should be. The veggies and meat were to his liking. He devoured it impressively fast. Korean cheese corn The newest member of our team ordered it. My friend had some. They both didn't like it. Shredded mozzarella wasn't melted on top of the corn. If you are going to add cheese, it needs to be melted and oozing all over the corn. It was a hard pass and a huge disappointment. Credit and debit cards are accepted. My boss had no issues with the machine and his transaction. As much as I loved my unicorn croffle, the poor, slow service put a damper on our experience. They need more staff and improvement in service. (378)

It is occupied by the sweetest rescue cats in need of loving homes and the cafe is staffed by friendly folks who are animal lovers too. Their furry feline friends are full of personality, some more energetic (Arlo), some more affectionate (Bailey), and some more sleepy (Mama cat Catronia). A visit here costs an admission fee to pay a visit to this feline cafe especially if you are thinking of adopting a rescue cat. Be sure to read the rules ahead of time. Don't disturb sleeping cats. Don't pick up any of the cats. Bring an extra pair of socks to wear while walking inside. The ratio of people to cats was good which made it easier for guests to get an opportunity to interact with cats that were in a playful mood. Visits are limited to 50 minutes. My timed visit was made easier since I was given a buzzer which buzzed to notify guests that their time was up. The resident fur-balls will be happy you paid them a visit. Every time I say that I'm heading over to or hitting downtown Markham, it still sounds weird to me…read more I will admit that it is growing on me after a few years. Like downtown Mississauga, downtown Markham is fairly new. The notion was to create condos and have locals walk to businesses. Enterprise Boulevard is a pleasure to drive along to head there. Stores, condos, and new developments continue to be built, including York University's new Markham Center Campus in Fall 2023. Currently, York U. has YSpace Markham, which supports folks who are innovators in technology, and food, and beverage sectors. Before the pandemic, I rarely hit the downtown core. I only visited Chatime, ME-VA-ME, and Cineplex VIP. During this pandemic, I have been able to discover cool new places. Copper Branch. Comebuy. Poke Guys. South St. Burger. I love how cool the Marriott hotel looks here. One of these days, I'll need to book some time here and check it out, along with its fabulous restaurant. I am a regular bubble tea customer at Comebuy and Chatime. Who knew? I have been supporting both regularly for the past 1.5 years and have established a nice rapport with staff. There is only one Comebuy in the GTA. If I'm away for a rare couple of weeks, staff are literally concerned. One made sure before Christmas 2020 to let me know what their hours of operation were, so I wouldn't be disappointed not getting any bubble tea! There is plenty of parking. There are lots that are primarily free. I have yet to be asked to pay for parking. In front of Comebuy and Poke Guys, even where street parking isn't exactly available, parking briefly to fetch takeout is okay. I have yet to see any parking police come over and I am rarely parked longer than five minutes. There is an indoor merry-go-round at the northwest corner of Birchmount and Enterprise. I admire it from afar these days. It has been closed since the pandemic, but looked magical and festive around the Christmas holidays. Back in the summer of 2017, I came here for the Markham ribfest. It moved from Warden and highway 7 over here. I had an excellent time, despite getting caught in the rain and getting soaked trying to get to my car from the venue. I do miss seeing events downtown and hope that they return when it's safe. I like it here. It's constantly growing and changing. It's nice to briefly admire the lights in the wintertime and people-watch in the summer. (263)
