I recently worked with this photographer for a portrait head shot session. Shant is extremely professional and has a great eye for framing. He's very friendly and personable. Really nice guy. These traits were very vital in helping me relax and feel comfortable. And I've worked with photographers that don't have the best of people skills, making you feel a bit stilted and not at ease. Never having had any professional photos taken outside of school and passport photos, I came across an opportunity to have some taken by Shant and have been completely blown away by his ability to bring out my personality. You see, I'm a complete introvert who doesn't like to be in front of the camera. (In fact, I used to actively be BEHIND the camera.) He is not only professional but fun, which adds a bit of life to a process that can be absolutely terrifying to a shy person like me. :) I needed some nice photos to round out my design portfolio site, my LinkedIn profile, Twitter, Facebook, Amazon Author Page, and more. After checking out his website, I saw that he had a special going on where he was giving free complimentary headshots (so generous!). At the shoot, he insisted on no payment but I tipped him anyways to help cover his costs. I wanted to show him my gratitude for his services and talent. As for the shoot, we met at CSUN in a public location for the shoot after the initial phone consultation. He carried all of his equipment with him and was able to shoot at a few different locations around campus. Before the shoot, I felt very tense because of my shyness -- again, I'm not really used to being behind the camera. Despite that, he really brought out my personality and made me feel incredibly comfortable (which is kind of hard to do) and after the hour was up I left the shoot feeling confident and satisfied. At the end of the shoot he even gave me a sneak peek at the shots and asked me if I saw some shots that I wanted, or if I wanted to spend a little bit of time reshooting. That was a really nice gesture. A few days later, he emailed me with a link to preview my untouched photos online. I sifted through them, selected my favorites, and replied to his email. He was quick to respond and promised a 24-48 hour turnaround time on retouching my favorites. He delivered the high res images on time and they were better than I had ever hoped for. I've already updated a lot of my online profiles and have gotten tons of likes and compliments. Someone even thought my Twitter profile picture was a professional ad for a product, because of my pose! I had a great experience working with Shant. I needed some headshots for my business. Shant was kind enough to fit me in for an appointment within a days notice. He had a great studio with music playing during the shoot. Music playing made it awesome so i didn't have to deal with awkward silence throughout the shoot. I recently had my photos taken with this photography company and all I can do is sing their praises. I have been doing comedy, acting, and improv ever since I was a kid and I never had the nerve to get my headshots taken. I was admittedly nervous and uncertain of what would turn out, but to my surprise, I was astonished at the skill and level of professionalism that was displayed. To be clear, professionalism as in, every piece of advice was tailored to me, an individual person who has never been in a shoot before, and I understood it and felt comfortable in the direction that was given. I never felt, at any moment, worried, scared, uncomfortable, or alienated. It was, hands down, one of the most enjoyable shoots I have ever been in, while having worked on numerous from different companies. The creative eye of Shant specifically, the location that was found, the overall welcoming atmosphere, the playfulness, and relaxed nature made for a great shoot with great results. I would recommend this to any person who has the nerve and the desire to get their headshots for anything. The amount of jokes and overall fun that was had in the process of this was so delightful and warming that, it still makes me happy at the memory and the result, which thankfully has gotten me work already. He, Shant, is very talented in his ability to take great shots, and to mold any situation to it's most beautiful, with such grace and humility. I have so much respect for his craft, which he has clearly mastered, but also for his demeanor and ability to bring the best shots out. In regards to punctuality, I received my shots later that day same day, primed and ready to be sent out. I don't think you can ask for a better company/person to be professionally dedicated to you, looking your best, with your best interests in mind. Simply amazing! What a great experience. I was recently looking for a photographer for my business, I needed photos of my product, my staff and my location. He is an artist, I had some ideas on how I wanted things and he gave me his ideas and I let the artist do his thing and the end product was amazing. I was floored. He didn't waste my time, was fast and sent me proofs in just a few hours. I've used other photographers in the past and to get proofs sometimes they would make me wait a few weeks. I needed to have a professional head shot taken and I am glad that Shant was available to do the job. He was super easy to work with and made me feel at ease. I especially liked how he would include me in his thought process on how to obtained the desire shots. For example, throughout the shoot he would often show me the picture he had just taken so that I would know what looks he was going for. Just so you know, Shant is not the only photographer I have worked with. Therefore, I can strongly state that his price is very reasonable. What's really nice about Shant is that once the shoot is over, you will have all the photos released to you in digital format. I have never done anything like a photo shoot before, but because of business and other hobbies of mine.. I needed to have a photo shoot. It was a great experience using Shant especially because I was a first timer and I was new to this type of thing. He's a cool guy, he's really flexible, and he understands your concerns and makes sure that he addresses them so that you are comfortable during the shoot. At first we were scheduled for a one hour shoot but I somehow ended up being there for 2 hours and 30 minutes! It was that fun of an experience!
