BOTANICAL GARDEN @ BELLEVUE…read more Parking is available right out front, which makes this place super accessible. There are also designated handicap parking spots. My friend and I visited on a Friday around 2 PM, and there were a few spots open, so getting in was really easy. I loved how simple everything was to navigate, there's even a map available when you enter. Entry and parking are both completely free, which is a huge plus. We walked along the trail and I'd recommend spending about 2-3 hours here if you want to take your time and fully enjoy it. We had to speed-run our visit because we had another errand afterward, but it was still incredibly beautiful. I highly recommend stopping by the bridge, it was very therapeutic and relaxing to walk across. There are plenty of benches and seating areas along the way, perfect for taking breaks or just soaking in nature. The quality of the space is amazing, with a wide variety of rocks, trees, and scenery that make the whole experience feel peaceful. There are also bathrooms located at the front, and you're never too far from other people, which made it feel comfortable and safe. Overall, I definitely recommend stopping by this place.

I believe our instructor's name was Hannah. She was extremely friendly, helpful, and encouraging. She brought great energy to the class and got everyone laughing and excited to paint! I love to paint and draw, I just don't have any real creative talent :) It was fun and easy to follow along and even find ways to make the painting your own. The studio itself had great vibes overall. I feel like the staff does a really good job of making the environment really fun and upbeat. There was fun music playing the whole time, which was really nice for painting and socializing. They had a decent selection of beverages, including wine, beer, cider, soda, and water. My boyfriend and I each got a glass of wine (I think they were $9 each), and then we ended up splitting a ginger ale later in the evening. We definitely got our money's worth with the wine, and it was really fun to be able to have a drink in hand while being an ~artist~. Overall, I had a really fun time during the class. I would recommend it to anyone and definitely want to return in the future.

Our instructor was fantastic--knowledgeable, engaging, and detailed in her explanations. She made sure everyone felt comfortable, regardless of skill level, and provided helpful tips throughout the session. The combination of sipping on mimosas while channeling our creativity made for a perfect evening. The step-by-step guidance allowed us to really connect with the process of painting, and I was thrilled with the piece I created. It felt great to express myself in such a fun environment. Overall, I left feeling inspired and relaxed. I highly recommend this event to anyone looking for a unique day or night out--whether you're a seasoned artist or a complete beginner, you'll have a fantastic time!

KIRKLAND DOWNTOWN @ KIRKLAND…read more I absolutely love coming to downtown Kirkland. It's where I grew up, and it's a place that feels really special to me. Parking is available in their main lot and does require payment, but there's also plenty of free street parking if you look around a bit. Downtown Kirkland has had a lot of construction lately, but it's finally wrapping up, and now there are so many new coffee shops, restaurants, and cute spots to stop by. There are bakeries, ice cream shops like Serena Gelato and Ben & Jerry's, and honestly just amazing food everywhere. They also host farmers markets that are super fun to walk through. I love the lakes and beaches here, too. Everything is literally walking distance, so once you find a good parking spot, you can walk the whole downtown area in about two hours. There are always people out, the community is great, and overall it's just such a wonderful place to visit, especially if you're in the area.

Before moving to WA I debated on living in Kirkland. I don't live here, but I have been here twice with friends and it is always a good time! Parking is plentiful and there are so many places to have a good time. From breweres, wineries, art, music, clothing, sweets, and nice wide sidewalks to walk on it is a fun place to meander and just follow the good times. On this recent visit I was here for an ugly sweater wine walk which started at the Heath Hotel. Just follow the balloons and we had a great time walking around the downtown area. Don't forget the plentiful Realtors and custom jewerly with gorgeous shiny rings a girl can dream about, lol. Lastly, the sidewalk next to the water is a great place to see views of downtown Seattle across the water. And I love being near water. Currently they have the downtown also decorated with holiday lights. I love Christmas lights! Happy Yelping to everyone and go enjoy this beautiful, fun downtown.

TERRIBLE venue management under the guise of a beautiful space…read more In short, three months after signing with The Barn at Holly Farm we were told management would rather start a year of self-initiated renovations than honor their contract with us. Their decision not only affected us, but at least nine other couples who had booked weddings there too. For my fiancé and me, this left us with less than 7 months before the wedding date to find a new venue and re-plan our entire event. It took over a month for us to find a new space that could accommodate our wedding size indoors. To receive a full refund, we were expected to sign a document that stated we wouldn't make any comments which "may, directly or indirectly, disparage" The Barn at Holly Farm (obviously we did not accept those terms). It then took over a month to receive the funds for The Barn's breach of contract. I hope no other couple has to experience The Barn at Holly Farm's mismanagement and the nightmare experience they caused at least 10 couples in 2021!

My husband and I were married at the Barn at Holly Farm in May 2019 (I meant to leave a review…read moresooner but life quickly got in the way). We worked with Karmel as well as a flower vendor (Dirty Girl) and photographers (GSquared) whom Karmel recommended. Part of the reason we were drawn to this venue is because of the good works that they do with equine therapy and rescued farm animals. Our experience with the Barn was fantastic. We really hit it off with Karmel and she made planning the wedding fun and low stress. The vendors she recommended also did a great job and at the end of the day, are just good people. I feel like they all connected with us on a personal level. One fun perk this venue offered is for a small fee someone from the Barn takes guests out to meet some of the animals (chickens, goats, llamas, etc.) during the social hour before the reception. This was a lovely and charming way to start the celebration. I think that what we paid was fair for the service we received. The only snafu at the very end was having to pack our own stuff even though we paid extra for the clean-up service, but it was mostly just our personal belongings and it wasn't a big deal. There's always a little wedding drama - in this case our own guests, and the way that Karmel and vendors went about handling it to reduce the stress on us was beautifully done. They were respectful and discreet and we were incredibly grateful for their support. The space itself on the day of the wedding was absolutely stunning and everything was set up exactly as we had planned. It was a truly magical day and I'm so glad we chose the Barn to get married. I'd do it all over again. :)
