They have a wide variety of scents, and some seasonal ones too. My favorite is Nag Champa, it's so earthy and warm. There's a sink in the back to try their liquid soap and they have testers of all their body sprays so you can see what it all smells like. Not only do they have soaps and bath items, Mossy Creek Naturals also has some women's clothing and accessories. The curated items fit the vibe of the store, and are always very pretty and in a wide selection of sizes. They've got adorable little lavender sachets and pillows, scrunchies, candles, etc. I have a lavender pillow from there I can put in the freezer or microwave to ease headaches and pains, and it does the trick everytime. Parking is easy. They don't have their own lot but downtown Perry has lots of free street parking, some right in front of the store. As for the bathroom situation, I don't think they have a public one. The staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the products, as they all have some hand in making it or packaging it! I've asked for help picking out gifts and scents numerous times and they always led me right, sometimes to new items I've never seen and end up loving. Great shop for yourself or for gifts, my friends and family have loved everything I've given them from Mossy Creek Naturals. I definitely recommend stopping in if you're in downtown Perry.

This is the first candle store I've been to that provides a listing of burn times based on the candle size. Some candles last 20 to 25 hours whereas some last 155 to 175 hours. That's helpful information for avid candle burners. Beyond just regular candles, they have candles with layers and chunks. Customers can also bring back candle jars purchased at Fayette Candle Factory to get refills for a lower price. That's great incentive considering the regular prices are very inexpensive. Nope, one peek and I quickly grabbed my phone (& holy oil.) It's a small store with the scent of incense wafting through the air. A stern looking lady (who was not my Grandma) stood watch over everyone. The first thing that struck me were the handwritten signs barking orders like, "Don't write numbers in these books. This isn't a library, books are for sale! No refunds. No mixing oils except Myrrh and Frankincense" etc. Ok... The candles clearly aren't being purchased for their beauty or fragrance. I was fascinated and a little scared. You can put roots on people and make them fall in love with you by burning a 'Come Back to Me' candle. 'Break Up' has the opposite effect. You can cast spells, get a miracle, rid your house of evil (Run Devil Run & Exorcist) and get Quick Money rich! There's also a Jinx Removing soap and Court Case shampoo. Prices range from $8 to $15. I asked the sales lady 1) if they were all the same candles in different bottles, 2) if "Grandma" made them and 3) if this was a voodoo/black magic shop. I mean the skull and cat shaped candles were a dead giveaway. The answer was no... And she clearly didn't know what the Pull Out candle was for. But she said she burned her Libra Zodiac and money candles. And you're still working??? She said they get a lot of African and Caribbean customers but it was empty. Probably because there were no Christmas specials (sad face.) There were gift sets. I left after I was caught snapping pics... In short, Grandma's is no Yankee Candle but if you're a witch or know what the High John Conqueror or Dragon Blood is for, it just might be your jam!
