Horrible, still have yet received my funds and a call back and they don't want to pay what I'm owed. Don't come to them.

She let me know that we could set up a meeting to discuss my needs and that the first meeting (one hour) would be free to me. We set up an appointment that was at a convenient time for me. She sent me an e-mail with paperwork that she would like completed prior to our first meeting. She also included specific directions to her office. It is just South of Downtown Columbus, near The Brewer's Gate, next door to the Kroger's. It was an easy to find location and there is free parking behind the office building. Directions were extremely self explanatory. I arrived early for my appointment and I was greeted with a friendly welcome by a receptionist that reassured me I was at the proper location. Maggie greeted me with a warm smile and we walked to a small conference room. She made me feel comfortable and assured me that I was making a smart decision not only for myself but for both myself and my fiancé. She also explained to me the importance of the power of attorney document. If something were to happen to me, my fiancé would not have any rights at the hospital without it. I had no idea. I walked out of Maggie's office feeling so appreciative for her time and expertise. I plan on mailing in the reasonable retainer and starting to get my life in order before it is too late. Don't wait until it is too late for you. Reach out to Maggie Sutton and see if she can be helpful to you.

Throughout my case, I felt they were far more interested in a "fast and easy" settlement than in doing the actual work required for a case involving lasting physical and psychological harm. Key issues from my experience: Lack of Proactive Strategy: Vital steps, such as obtaining a psychological evaluation, only happened because I was strongly advised to do so by a different law firm (Malek & Malek). From my perspective, Corey Lauer's office did not appear to consider it necessary, which I found deeply concerning. Minimizing Valid Claims: When I raised the importance of a workers' compensation aspect of my incident, an attorney from this office declined to assist and minimized its value. Another firm saw the importance immediately, and the final records show that a Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) lien was indeed part of this case. Risk-Averse Advocacy: I felt consistently pressured to accept a low offer. The communications I received focused almost entirely on the "risks" of trial rather than the merits of my claim. To my knowledge, there wasn't even an effort to escalate my claim to the insurance adjuster's supervisor. The Final Result: I ultimately felt forced to settle for a low-ball offer--not because the offer was fair, but because the firm's lack of preparation left me with no confidence that they would properly represent my interests at trial. Because I had to do the heavy lifting that they neglected, I requested they lower their contingency fee from 25% to 20%. Corey Lauer refused, stating the partners would not agree to any further reductions. I essentially paid a significant amount in attorney fees for a result I could have achieved, or likely improved upon on my own. They took a large cut for simply processing paperwork, while I was the one identifying the medical and legal gaps they ignored or failed to address. Be aware: In my experience, you may get weak results here. I do not believe it is worth your time or money. There were many concerning issues, and I felt taken advantage of.
