I first came across Kiss me cupcakes after being introduced to them by a friend. Since then I have organised a hen do cupcake masterclass with them and ordered some golf themed cupcakes. They always deliver above my expectations. Their masterclasses are fun and well organised, and you have the opportunity to add your coloured frosting of choice and then decorate till your hearts content using a variety of toppings. Their cupcakes are delicious, moist and never disappoint. They are a real treat :-) read more

The original and the best? When I first landed in Birmingham, I had been living in New York and been missing Marks & Spencer and Match of the Day. When I came back to the UK, I was missing good coffee houses and cupcakes. It was a chance conversation of this that resulted in my being introduced to Kiss Me Cupcakes. At that time, they were stocked at the now defunct Art Lounge in Mailbox so off I went to buy a couple to taste (always Vanilla and lemon if I'm having two). I emailed Dali & Mary, the ladies behind KMCC & a beautiful friendship is formed. 3 year later and the business has gone from strength to strength, moving away from having a few cakes being stocked at coffee shops to catering for weddings, birthdays and all manner of celebrations not to mention seemingly being the go-to baker for product launches in Birmingham. I myself have ordered plenty of times including some surprise birthday cakes for my boyfriend with the Action Man logo & more recently, Kiss Me Cupcakes contributed to the launch of Coffee Birmingham; an event that serves to highlight the quality of the indie coffee houses and indeed all of Birmingham's indie businesses. There have been many pretenders to the cupcake throne since the four years that these lovely ladies turned their passion into a business (and I've tasted some great cakes from those too) but nobody else has the ingredient that Dali & Maz have; these cakes are made with LOVE. read more

You guys rock! I was fortunate to try the Kiss Me Cupcakes at a Yelp Birmingham launch party and boy were they yummy! The cakes were, flavoursome, soft and moist, tasty yummy goodness and also had a unique design of Yelp branding! I was eating them so fast, couldn't help it! My taste buds were engaged in a love affair! These Cupcakes are on par with some I've ate in San Fran, and San Fran has awesome Cupcakes. Hopefully we will have more of these cakes at the next Yelp party! read more

I can't speak highly enough about Kiss Me Cupcakes. From perfect get-well soon cakes, client Christmas presents to special 60th birthday party centrepiece, the cakes created by Maz and Dali are beautifully presented, freshly baked, and simply delicious. History

Established in 2008.

Kiss Me Cupcakes was founded in 2008 by Dali and Maz, inspired by their love of travel.... Our greatest memories are of traveling in the backwaters of the Amazon, lazily wiling the days away on a hammock. Reaching Macchu Picchu, slowly revealing itself to us once the clouds had finally dispersed. The vast patient salt flats in Bolivia. The magnificent power of Iguazu Falls and glorious glaciers in Argentina. South America taught us the power of an entrepreneurial spirit and a real love of coffee culture. We hit the road in New Zealand in our trusted campervan leading us through the winding roads and tranquil beauty of both islands....Jack Johnson comes to mind. New Zealand taught us the benefits of using home grown, high quality produce and the use of free-range and organic ingredients. Australia was where we stumbled upon our introduction to cupcakes in the form of a quaint cupcake shop. We were certainly kids in a candy store, trying out as many flavours as we could each week.

Biggest change I noticed was space and the staff. There are lots of staff inside and all in uniform. Interior design is pretty sleek. It's hard to believe this place is in Ladypool Road. Should be somewhere in city centre or broad street because many people should try this place. You'd think there would be lack of customers but walking out in the end there was a huge line outside. The previous place was popular and many people were suggesting a bigger place, but from what I saw they might need even bigger place. They're extending the back to add more capacity to this place. Still in development, so soon would hold more people. Obviously Heavenly Desserts are good at what they do and quite popular. I just ate before coming here and didn't want go for big dessert or waffle (the regular I get). Got crepe which comes with strawberries, scoop of vannila ice cream and strawberry sauce. I figured crepe would be light and small, how wrong I was. Was biggest crepe I had. Anyways It was delicious and place was buzzing. Everyone seemed to be having great time with their friends. It does get a little noisy but we sat in a big group section so it's to be expected. The two main staff (manager and assitant I think) were amazing and polite. The assitant manager was polite when showing people to their seats and as we were leaving, he was outside talking to the kids who were in line with their parents. That's awesome, and the whole experience from stepping in to the end was amazing. So gets 5 Stars from me. Try get yourself down here sometime. They do variety of deserts. The menu book is big....like Lord of the Rings big. Note: if you going with a group, call a day or 2 early to avoid waiting in line.

The desserts are a mixture of freshly made on site, ready prepared shipped in from the larger company and bought to sell. The range and choice is fantastically huge with lots of options, just what you want in a dessert shop. My only gripe is that on the soda floats menu they don't offer the one and only original with root beer (not alcoholic), when they do it will be dessert shop perfection for me outside of London. On our last visit my son was able to take home, that which he couldn't consume from over indulgence.

The mango sorbet was boring, and had too much cream inside, and the chocolate Sundae contained brownies that were too chewy, ice cream that was too sweet and slightly stale wafer pieces at the bottom. If you are planning to come here, I'd suggest to not go for any of the - ice cream only - desserts. They must be applauded on their great service, and their waffles though!

Being an American we are experts in the realm of milk shakes. We are hard to satisfy in this category. You can also say the same for burgers. I enjoyed the environment of Kaspa's, and the customer service was good, but the magic is in their Milk Shakes. It is the best shake I have ever had in the U.K.. If you have to get a shake fix, Kaspa's is the only place I recommend in the U.K.. They have other locations, and when I visit from the States I will never except a shake unless it comes from Kaspa's. You can take my words to the bank, and if you ever see me at Kaspa's I will buy you a shake :)

There was a lot of excitement locally, awaiting the opening of Moochie B's and they have not dissapointed us. As a big fan of all things sugary, I knew this was somewhere I would have to visit, particularly as it's a 5 minute walk from where I work and the fact the interior is pink! Inside there's a kind of American Diner feel, which I love. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating. Everyone who knows me knows that customer service is VERY important to me and again I was not dissapointed here. I also love the fact that this is a family run business. I heard on the grapevine that the manager/owner went to Italy to train to make gelato! Talking to him, it's clear he has a passion for it and was happy to discuss how the gelato was made and new flavours he was exploring. I asked about whether he would be doing diary free ice cream and was told that he was experimenting with this, but would also be offering sorbet at some point too. This made me VERY happy. The milkshakes seem particularly popular, but on my most recent visit, I had a fresh made waffle and gelato. Strawberries and cream come as standard, although I did not partake. The gelato was so creamy and full of flavour and the waffle was huge, so I was a very happy person.

I spent over 6 months looking for a cake company that was 'local' and 'trustworthy' and even friends had recommended me to go to them I thought I had found this in KissMeCupcakes, I was so wrong! 5 weeks before my wedding they have cancelled my order. I am absolutely furious with them and their poor quality of service. To think they can just do this to a bride is unbelievable! Over 5 months of communicating with them there was no mention of the word 'deposit' even when we met up! They had told me they can't carry out my order when they had checked their diary again, but if I hadn't email them would they have the courtesy to call and apologise? Probably not! Two weeks before this they we're still talking to me about the cupcakes and still there was no mention of a deposit and previously have told me they have put this in their diary for their records. Obviously they have messed up somewhere along the lines and had come up with a pathetic excuse! Saying 'sorry' just doesn't quite cut it I'm afraid, I would never recommend any of my family or friends to them, they are unprofessional, irresponsible and have no courtesy to even call and apologise. If they had put my order in their diary they should have at least called/email to ask if I wanted to go ahead and if so I will need to pay deposit. Unbelievable! Definitely not 'made with love'! read more

As the Head of Marketing for The Litigation Advice Bureau based in Birmingham City Centre, Kiss Me Cupcakes just keep on stealing the show. Not only do they smell, feel and look good, they taste blooming marvellous too. Dali and Maz are two of the nicest, genuine and sincere people I have ever had the pleasure of meeting who just ooze professionalism with that dedicated personal touch - such a rare quality these days. Every time I have an event or big meeting needing cupcakes, advice and additional suggestions from Dali and Maz is never too much trouble. The cupcakes look great with our logo on them - my favourite is the lemon one, and the chocolate one, and the mint one - I cant choose!!!! I cannot reccomend Kiss Me Cupcakes highly enough to anyone looking to host an event, impress a client or even have a private function. I'm not a big fan of cupcakes or cakes in general. But things changed when I came across the Kiss Me Cupcakes team at an event I attended. Firstly, the look of them were so cute, all with individual character and style. As soon as I tasted the cupcakes, I was in shock how they melt so beautifully into your mouth. They smell absolutely lush, and taste delicious. My personal favourite is the mint cupcakes, and the icing doesn't taste like the regular icing you usually get...it was really tasty and tasted like they were just baked. Would recommend Kiss Me Cupcakes for every occasion. In fact, the team even donated a 7 tier made up of cupcakes and little mini cupcakes at a wedding show I was exhibiting at, and believe me....it was a show stopper. I used Kiss Me Cupcakes to provide cakes for the launch of our new charity shop as Dali and Maz were able to put our logo on to the cakes. The cakes themselves looked and tasted fabulous. They were delivered on time, displayed professionally and everyone commented on what a fabulous centre piece they made! I subsequently attended one of the Kiss Me Cupcakes workshops which was very informal, enjoyable and informative. I have made batches of cupcakes since and they have always gone down very well with colleagues, family and friends. I put it down to 'love' that Dali and Maz pass on when running the workshops :-) I would not hesitate to recommend Kiss Me Cupcakes - both the cakes themselves and the workshops! read more

I went to a workshop with Kiss Me Cupcakes at the beginning of April and it was fantastic. Although I have experience with baking, it was an ideal course for beginners or people who have baked at home before. One of the really nice touches was actually having the opportunity to bake the cupcakes before decorating them, rather than being given a set of pre-baked cakes to decorate. Dali and Maz were really friendly and helpful, and even ordered an icing nozzle for me to collect after the workshop. I would really higly recommend this workshop to anyone who is interested in learning how to bake cupcakes and in learning different piping techniques. read more

They have a true passion for what they do, and Dali and Maz are fantastic people which is reflected in their approach to their business; they are proffessional, ethical, and always do their best for each client, whether its a big company or an individual. I love homemade cakes and i was not a huge fan of shop bought cakes, but this all changed when i tasted a Kiss me cupcake! They taste so fresh and light, and whats best is they are ethical and use organic and fairtrade products where possible! They have so many different variations and last for a couple of days after being baked. Even at short notice they always manage to bake them for me whenever i ask. I booked onto the course with my mom, who has been baking and icing cakes for years! From the initial phone call with Dali, to the day itself, we were made to feel very welcome. Maz is a fab teacher and Dali was very supportive throughout. I have achieved the impossible, I actually iced a cake and loved it! My mom also felt that she learnt something new too! We had an amazing cupcake workshop on saturday! I bought it for my sister as a birthday present and my friend came along too. It was an intimate and friendly workshop full of positive support and giggles which is what made it such a lovely experience! In the 3 hours we were there, we learnt so much from how to make the initial cupcake to the different butter icing decorating techniques. The spotlight on the day was on this amazing glass tier with all 150 of the most beautiful cupcakes ever, all my friends were absolutley amazed. The staff was constantly cleaning and everything looked well-maintained. No sticky surfaces, and even the display trays were polished. You can count on KMC's cupcakes to always be fresh, moist and tasty. They have a great range of flavours and sizes. They event do seasonal cupcakes too! You will definitely want more than one.
