I have never once wrote a review good or bad but to be blatantly ignored by someone who owns a business is not nice or professional and deserves a calling out. It took Maryam 3 hours to apply my first set ever of mink lases. Within a week most of them had come off - through no fault of my own as I did everything right after they were applied. I decided to do a refill after 3 weeks to try one more time before I made any decisions on whether to continue with the lases or not. Maryam clearly stated to me that she only had and hour an a half because she had an appointment to go to. I am a very easy going person so no problem BUT I do expect things to be done right. After an hour and a half my lashes were not as full as i would've liked but I understood she had to go so i was willing to come back within a couple of days to finish up. We made an appt for about 2 weeks later but she said she would try to fit me in sooner. The lashes once again did not stay on, within the hour they were coming off and by the time 24hrs had passed my left eye looked a lot different then the right. I texted maryam to let her know she said she didn't have any openings. I texted her again the next day and she didn't text me back. At this point her not texting me back has happened a few times over the course of a month and me trying to get in to see her for her to add lashes (I paid for unilimted). Firstly, my lashes should never have come off as they did. Even i recognize there's something wrong with that. Secondly 3 hrs to apply lases then 1.5hrs for a refill and you're still not finished the job, is a little lengthy. Thirdly and most importantly ignoring a customer is wrong. I don't care how busy you are. I gave her the option of either finishing the refill within the next 3 days or refunding my money. I never heard from her and its been a week. I don't ask for much but I do ask for common courtesy and to provide (in full) services which are paid for. On top of that I had contacted another salon to explain what had happened (as I was willing to go elsewhere just to avoid dealing with Maryam). She was appalled that it took so long to apply the lashes and she had heard of mylashcanada before and there were issues with the "secret" glue that they use. I advised Maryam I was not happy. I even offered a solution. A professional would not ignore this. I just wanted what I paid for. I didn't receive it. I have also contacted the better business bureau to lodge a complaint. To pay $240 for a set of lashes and then $90 for a refill, you would think you'd come out happy and loving your lashes. As much as I wanted to i didn't but whats most disappointing is that she didn't even attempt to fix it. So hopefully if you go there, you don't have a problem that needs resolving.

I first found out about this place through xiaohongshu (Chinese app that's like Instagram and Pinterest rolled into one), and from there I added the customer service account on wechat. I was told about a $105 service for first time customers when I inquired about the 60 minute scalp treatment and mini facial. I then found their website through which I made the appointment. On the day before my appointment, I got a phone call to change appointment time due to double booking I got another phone call on the day of appointment asking me to come in earlier. The service itself was great, super relaxing, my hair and skin felt so good. During the scalp treatment, my hair was thoroughly washed and my scalp massaged by gentle hands while my body was massaged by the chair. During the mini facial, my face was gently cleansed, then I had a mask, followed by steam. Afterwards my hair was blow dried, and it felt so soft and silky. My experience ended unpleasantly, as I ended up having to pay more than anticipated - I thought I was getting the $105 first time customer service, but instead I was charged $135. Now I'm not sure what the $105 service for first time customers is and if I qualify for it. Lesson learned to be very careful and clarify prices beforehand.

I'm really happy that there was clear communication when choosing the lashes I desired. I'm overjoyed with how it turned out in the end and am incredibly appreciative of the staff for making me feel at home. My lashes feel lightweight yet looks stunning. Everyone is great. Operates from a small room in a beauty salon owned by someone else. Shes very brief. The lashes look beautiful as soon as she applies them on me, I took very good care of my lashes however more lashes fell out than I would have liked within the first week. This problem repeated itself for many weeks and I started to feel like either the glue wasnt strong enough or she wasnt applying glue to the very tip of the lash or close enough to the lash line. I understand the glue shouldnt come into contact with the skin but I could feel the gap between the lash line and the lash. I can feel the top of the lash stick out as it was starting to come off. It irritated my eyes and was too much to maintain over time so I stopped going to get lashes all together. Her attitude when I came for 50$ refills was awful. Its not my fault more lashes were lost than I would have liked even when I took utmost care of it. She was frustrated and almost seemed angry at me. She admitted that if she didnt like a client she would stop calling or picking up their calls, and thats exactly what happened to me. She also likes to gossip and tell me stories about her other clients... so I can see thats exactly what might be happening behind my back. She sends off a snobby/condescending vibe and always likes to talk about her designer handbags. Her daughter on the other hand was extremely friendly. Unfortunately she was pregnant at the time so I couldnt get very many appointments with her daughter. I would definitely recommend her, she's really sweet and when I went to her the lashes seemed to have stayed on a little longer than when her mother did it which says something. They did kind of make my lashes lose volume and near the end I did not have many lashes however within months of moisturizing and conditioning my lashes with oil and vasilene before bed, I fixed the issue. Initially they said this course is all you need and you will be able to work on clients right away, but the first day of class, the instructor gave subtle hints that everyone usually goes for multiple courses and just one course isn't enough. The instructor (owner) was also late almost every day. Said they will be hands on but they just leave you there to "practice" most of the time. Definitely DO NOT purchase any of the machines/products they sell. Standard cost for a top notch PMU machine is within $1000. They charged us $2500 for the stupid machine that doesn't even use universal cartridges which means you can only buy refills from them as they are the sole provider in the whole country. None of this was mentioned in class. The owner is very entitled, arrogant and does not care about your learning journey at all. Please save thousands of your money as I have now learnt there are so many PMU teachers out there that actually care and will teach you better for much less and won't push their products on you rather they will educate you on the best products in the industry unlike this unethical business!
