Let me start by stating I write either 5 star or 1 star reviews, (as you can research), and I don't…read morewrite very many of either. A bit about me, 40 years in the construction industry with 20+ years full time and hands on. I currently am remodeling my 5th kitchen in Georgia and I live in Colorado. Not easy to do but all are/were for family members. This project is for my sister and she is the kind of customer who cannot decide which of the 20 shades of "white" she wants. This kitchen will also be her last and she really wants it perfect. She wasted a few months dealing with both Lowe's and Home Depot and 3 or 4 other custom shops. I could not believe the "problems" eg. that corner is impossible to lay out, we don't do 15 inch deep uppers, panel ready is tough to get right, etc. Being 1500 miles away I felt helpless and was thinking how am I going to ship cabinets from CO to GA. I had already built the island and the counter top saleslady happens to mention David as a possibility for my sister to use for the remaining cabinetry. After meeting him she calls me and says "we met with another cabinet guy, I like him and he noticed a couple things no one else has noticed. Important things!" I'm extremely apprehensive but after talking to him and him passing the litmus test I'm telling myself this guy is sharp but I haven't seen his work. I head down to Atlanta, drive two hours to his shop and I am stunned. A CNC machine, a $70,000 corner machine for doors that I'm salivating over but most importantly cabinets that are completed I'm giving a 10 out of 10. These aren't display cabinets but ones ready to load up and install. The only way to check someone's work. He worked for my scheduling, he worked WAY under budget for my sister and he was a joy to work with. Let me tell you that doesn't happen often. If you are reading this it most likely is because you are about to spend mucho dinero on cabinets but not only is his quality amazing but his pricing is ridiculously low for custom cabinets. I really should not say "His quality" because I know his employees are responsible for much of it also. I still smile when I think about the guy that has the heaviest Southern accent, lives out in the middle of nowhere ends up building kitchen cabinets that has my picky sister sending me a text with 50 hearts and the words, I LOVE MY KITCHEN"

We were hoping to write a really positive review. We genuinely like David and his team. However,…read morethey really let our family down at our expense, and I don't want what happened to our family to happen to anyone else's. Our bathroom cabinets were installed late and were installed damaged, with several drawers that were splintered and had peeling veneer, there were exposed nails that cut my hand, and my hot tools drawer wouldn't fit the tools and close all the way. David indicated "they never should have left the shop like that." We were impressed with his accountability. David's team also installed a countertop tower without meeting with our countertop installer. The countertops couldn't be installed after the tower (not enough room) and the tower had to be removed, causing damage. The mirrors that were installed, had pitting and attemps to paint scuff marks on the cabinets and mirrors made the issues look worse. David and the company were great to recognize the damage and and other issues. They agreed to fix everything before closing out our account, which had already been paid in full. Again, we were impressed with his accountability. Over the next 4 months, we followed-up to ask for David and his team to fix the issues that David and his team both acknowledged and originally agreed to fix. They cancelled on us or did not show at least 10 more times, which had to take vacation time off from work to meet. Still, no fixes. On two separate occasions David or his team showed-up unannounced (interrupting our schedules), but soon realized they did not have tools or materials to finish the job and said they would come back, which they didn't. We waited another two months and D & M did not contact us one time to schedule a return visit to make final fixes. Serious and unexpected health reasons in our family prevented us from meeting for several weeks and we followed-up as soon as we were able. During that time, D & M did not call, text or email their concerns to finish our work. We were under the impression (given their previous cancellations and flexible scheduling on their part) that things were still moving ahead. However, when we reached out to D & M to schedule our fixes (again), we were told that too much time had passed they would make "complimentary" fixes for an additional $1,200.00, even though they had completed a final punch list just weeks before acknowledging they would fix everything under the original contract. Prior to our issues at the end of our business relationship, I recommended D & M cabinets to other friends who were remodeling kitchens and bathrooms. They were excited about the work and were impressed that D &M would make whatever repairs necessary if things were damaged or incorrect. However, they saw the issues we had scheduling fixes and opted to go elsewhere. One friend asked for a quote. D & M came out to visit and evaluate the job and agreed to send a quote within the next few days, but they did not follow-up as agreed upon. My friend tried to follow-up, but did not receive the quote, so they moved on to another vendor. Our lesson here is this: Set-up your contract with explicit timelines that hold D & M cabinets accountable for their work; be clear about payment in full only after all work and fixes are complete; set boundaries to protect your time (especially if you are moving vacations, work and family time to meet their schedule; and document everything through email so everyone is on the same page at all times. While we all want to be flexible and accommodating with one another, especially if you think they're great people, that doesn't change the fact that this is business and the consumer needs to protect themselves. The handshake agreement days are over, and we really hope things turns out better for future customers.

Jeremy Horton, the proprietor, was sent to my house by another contractor to undertake widening of…read moremy driveway. Our home has a small built-on garage with a car port adjacent. The car port had a slanted surface, and its offset from the driveway made it tricky to enter. I wished to be able to drive my Forester straight in and straight out. Jeremy and I considered several alternatives and came up with a plan. He dug out the slanted area to level the surface and cut back a small hillside that rose toward my neighbor. To hold the soil in place, he created a pressure-treated wood bulkhead against the hillside to maintain this modification in place. He then planted decorative grasses on the dirt slope to hold the soil together. On the new surface he packed gravel stones in place of concrete, to save on cost. Throughout he was most cheerful and accommodating, explaining everything he did to insure my understanding. I was pleased enough that I later asked him to build a pergola that my wife and I wished to have behind our house, attached to the rear of the garage, to provide a shady place to sit outdoors. Jeremy came up with a plan at a reasonable price, deposited the materials needed within a very few days, and then showed up with a most competent crew to construct this shelter. It was perfect, exactly what we wanted. It is sturdy, attached to the rear of the garage and resting on solid timbers. It has a metal roof and an effective draining system. It can easily withstand a gale force wind. We have furnished the space and are very pleased. Wii Care+ is a most reliable, responsive, and efficient contractor, capable of taking on numerous projects. He is generous with occasional extras and does not rest until his client is fully satisfied. Whatever you'd like to build, ask him to bid on it and he will perform to your complete satisfaction.
