At first he appeared to be fairly professional and reasonably knowledgeable. On the phone he explained to us how contractors in PB will take advantage of you and how he can't do that to people because he's too good of a person. THATS EXACTLY WHAT HE DID. He also led us to believe that he had multiple employees and proper equipment. However, the only other person who ever came to help was a convicted felon; and all of the equipment used was brand new. We hired him to replace our floors and remodel our kitchen. It was supposed to be done before we got into town. Instead we walked into a nightmare. Before we got into town, he implied that the floor was finished. Upon arrival we found that it wasn't even completely demoed. We paid him several installments of our agreed upon price before he got much done. By the time he got the majority of the money for the contract he stopped showing up to work. Mind you that none of the projects we paid him for were even close to completion. He claimed to have already done "more than that much work for us" and asked for more money to finish. We all signed a contract, stating the price for each section of the project. He showed up for maybe 20 of the 55 possible work days to work and when he did, barely anything got done. He'd show up late and leave early on most of the days he actually showed. He often would text "on my way" and show up hours later or not at all. Then he would be unreachable. We would be without communication for days at a time with a pitiful excuse once we could reach him. He was extremely unprofessional at times and we held his hand through the process. We even agreed to provide our labor to help get it done. He laid a large section of tile in the wrong pattern, which we had to tear up and replace ourselves. He also did not use the correct technique in applying the tile, and they are coming loose. In the end, we could not get him to show up to work so we fired him. We are in the process of filing a lawsuit to get our money back. The overall experience was a nightmare. The contractors that came in to finish the work have pointed out that what he did accomplish was done incorrectly. The cabinets that were set, were not level. The electrical work done was not functional or safe. He left holes in the floor and ceiling, live wires in the walls, leaking plumbing that damaged a brand new cabinet, and we continue to find more as we work to fix our home. I'd look else where.

Tried to work it out through the AG, they should be in jail for FRAUD. I can't even get a contractor to touch this mess to fix it. Refuses to give me his insurance information. Forgot to flash the deck, water pouring in from a window downstairs during a rain. Tried to blame it on the window that never leaked prior. The 'custom' maple island top, flood coated with a 'river' running through it. $1,750.00 couldn't be used it was so sub par and 1' too short. Said he didn't have time to fix it would refund. Ordered new drain line and when tub was removed, it was discovered that LHS installed the tub on top of the flexible drain line until it was smashed so thin that it would not drain. Plumber also noted that they left the drain in the middle of the floor instead of moving to the end where the tub drained. Plumber had to cut out the floor, jackhammer out the concrete and relocate the drain properly. LHS cost us an extra $800 to fix their poor workmanship.

She spent time measuring the rooms and having a discussion with us. I gave her access to my Pinterest board to show her the looks that we liked and had an interest in exploring. We were completely prepared to spend a significant amount of money to have our living room and entryway redone and have custom draperies for the living room and the master bedroom. Carole shared when she came out on that Tuesday that she would be leaving for vacation on Friday. She stated that it would be 3 to 4 weeks before she would be able to get anything back to us. We were completely fine with that as we told her we were not in a hurry and 3 to 4 weeks would be fine. Jump ahead over seven weeks now, almost 8, and we have been completely ghosted. There has not been a single phone call, email, or text from Carole back to us with any status update on the project. This lack of engagement is completely unprofessional, and we are extremely upset and angry with the lack of professionalism. If this job was not something that she felt she could do perform or had the time to do, then a simple phone call, text or email saying that she was not able to do the job is all that we expect. Not every design is for everybody and if life interrupts and you are unable to do the job, I completely understand that. There is a level of communication that needs to occur when you run a business and there is a level of professionalism that is expected. We will happily take our money elsewhere!!!

I called Quality Construction for help. They are licensed and insured!!! Devin and his partner came out quickly and assessed the mess. They are so professional and told us exactly what needed to be done and came back with a bid quickly. The quality and value are amazing for the job they undertook. Everything had to come out and be redone. We knew it would because our floor was never leveled and tile work wasn't even completed from the previous contractor. They assured me they could give me the bathroom I had envisioned and they did not disappoint!!! The work is amazing, just look at the pictures and you will see. When we hit a bump in work they took it in stride and worked hard to tackle it. The crew always arrived early and put in a full days work. They were on top of it all the time making sure I was satisfied throughout the project. Paperwork means nothing and he has no morals. If you still give him a chance, make sure you get a copy of his insurance, you will need it! I am being thorough to warn everyone possible not to hire him. Save yourself thousands!!!! We hired this man trying to give him a chance as he said he and his family were wanting work. He used religion as a front to make it seem as if he had morals - it couldn't be further from the truth. We thought it would straight forward and we had documents that outlined the work, the amount to be paid, and what materials what would be provided by the home owner vs. the business. Months pass and to put it at best, poor work happened and we continuously had to have "meetings" where we would out line the issue (extremely crooked wall, see photos - he built the wall not old construction)and he would defend why he did it - we have had contractors confirm no, there is no reason the wall needed to be crooked, you are just terrible at your job). Our bedroom currently has over 1,000 lbs of floor leveler on it because he didn't think it worth was just replacing the subfloor (maybe $300?) on 110 sq ft - if you know you know. He also tried to level this floor at 10 PM in the dark (no electricity was out there) with his young daughter (10? 12?) being the judge of the floor being level... I can't even begin to explain the regret of hiring him every single day of him showing up to the house wondering what he damaged or made worse. We only allowed him to continue because he said he was willing to make things right and we had already given him the money - literally the only reason I ever allowed him near me or my home again. Sure, we continued to try and work with him and his family. They showed up at the worksite with young children in dangerous situations: we had no floor and had nails, insulation, mold, and other things exposed. We were already uncomfortable with this in our home but especially with kids and being in our home. We asked for insurance purposes they not come. He continued to bring them to the work site. When they began work on our basement bathroom the real horrors began. It shouldn't be too crazy, install a pre-fab shower pan 48x24 and move a toilet. Sure, we will need to cut our basement floor - agreed and noted. However, this was noted in our estimate, and instead of disconnecting the old sewer, he just used literally (see photos and mold) a full can of flex seal, a Walmart bag, and electric tape to disconnect our old sewer line. I expressed concern over text and verbally numerous times about this health hazard as it was leaking and growing mold more by the day. We had a contract and I was about to ask for the money back because of the health risks that they kept minimizing (see LITERAL FROGS COMING IN OUR HOME, FROM SEWER LINES LEAKING IN OUR HOME WITH ACTUAL SEWAGE FROM OUR UPSTAIRS TOILET) yes - I do feel all caps was needed. We tried to ask for money back for the incomplete work and his deadline of completing the entire project had passed without a single room finished - in fact, we had to repair EVERY SINGLE THING the man touched AND MORE. The work was not completed and months past his promised deadlines so we again ask for his updated timeline. We had given him a deposit, half of the remodel cost (again, lessons learned but want to warn/save others !!!) and he kept saying he would refund us and that he was "in over his head" but he was continuously flakey and never showed up again. He removed his trailer and we never saw him again. We were out over 18,000.00. We filed charges with the local sheriff department and are actively working on figuring out how to proceed legally. Bottom line: do not hire this man - he is a liar, dangerous, told me he had poisoned a previous clients dog with steak "so he couldn't resist it" (as if that's something that's normal and you should tell a homeowner). I did however get over twenty cameras professionally installed to ensure the man will not be visiting our property to harm our animals or cause more property damage. This is a person who hired this man and lost close to 20,000, I was young, trusting, trying to help a person out who needed work, and I regret everything.
