This time we got to work with designer, John Epperson, who was adept at executing our vision for our kitchen with the new island and refrigerator cabinet they made for us. Chris Holt came over twice to 1) confirm measurements before install day and to speak with my husband who built the soffit for over the fridge cabinet and to 2) direct the installers about how to ensure the fridge cabinet's fit. They were patient with our questions and changes along the way, happy to entertain our input. Our kitchen looks awesome now despite some outstanding finishing touches needed that they are helping us with. In order to integrate our new 54-inch professional hood, we needed a 16-inch deep cabinet created and installed at the ceiling. Additionally, we'd removed an electric oven and were replacing it with a smaller speed microwave. A couple of businesses had proposed to build and install the cabinets, but the prices were high and the timing wasn't working with our needs. As a last-ditch effort, we posted our project on Thumbtack. When Doug Taylor replied to our request, we were cautiously optimistic about his availability and pricing. Needless to say, he did not disappoint us in the slightest. Doug is not only professional, prompt, and responsive, he is a true craftsman and artist. His measurements were meticulous and the cabinets and trim he constructed to fit into our existing kitchen look like they were made alongside their companion cabinetry. Dayton Custom Cabinets far exceeded our expectations for beautiful cabinets. We will certainly be using Doug in the future for all our cabinet and custom woodworking needs. Highly recommend!

Their shaker doors have a reversed raised panel...so they are SOLID! They are not a thin veneer like so many RTA or off the shelf entry level cabinets. I have been using J&K for over 10 years and very rarely have I had any issues. I can think of just one when we had some concealed damage. Any flaws or concealed damage must be reported within a day.
