They are really nice and take time to explain everything. I have two children who are patients and I have never waited more than 10 minutes.

This was our 2nd visit to Groovy Smiles for my 3 year old. Both visits have been great experiences!…read moreNo cavities for my little man and Dr. Forrester was so good with him. From the get go it was really easy to schedule an appointment, their webpage is simple. Once we arrived we had no problem finding a parking spot. Inside the waiting room had a big screen with tiny chairs which was playing Moana! Also in the waiting room was a play area with toys and cool tablets to play on. We didn't have to wait long to see Dr. Forrester. He was very nice and noticed my son was a little nervous. He spoke to him and explained everything he was doing, this helped him so much. He also told me what I needed to do so we could keep up his NO cavities streak! Afterwards my son got a goodie bag (tooth brush, paste, floss) and a gold coin to get a cool prize. It's such a relief to find an awesome dentist for my kiddos!

We just recently moved to Arkansas and were in need of a new pediatric dentist for our son. After…read moremuch research, we decided on Groovy Smiles and Dr. Aaron Forrester. My main concern was that since we are far from our home state of Massachusetts, that we would not be able to find the same standard of care here, or a dentist and staff that was compassionate and caring. My other concern was whether we would be able to be in the exam area with our son..so many dentists these days are choosing not to allow the parents in the room...in screening dentists this is a giant red flag for me. Dr. Forrester's staff made it easy from the first call for the appointment, no receptionist with a bad attitude who hates their job..she was pleasant, knowledgeable and booking was easy. Our visit was great, the paperless system for forms was a welcome surprise, the waiting area was clean and had a tv and toys for the little ones. The wait time was minimal and the dental techs who performed the X-rays and cleaned our sons teeth were welcoming and professional. Dr. Forrester was a pleasure to meet, very welcoming demeanor, a nice change from some other dentists we have encountered in the past who probably disliked their jobs and no longer had patience for kids. But not here...everyone was great. Dr. Forrester took time to address my son and speak with him, gave him a thorough look over and I was happy to hear that his opinion of my sons dental treatment going forward was in agreement with our dentist in Massachusetts. We couldn't have had a better experience with Groovy Smiles...

They have televisions playing cartoons or other children's networks (they can pick) above each table so kids can be immersed in entertainment while being looked at/worked on. I am so impressed with Dr Wilson and how he works with the kids. He playfully explains what he is doing the whole time so they are never surprised by anything. Plus it helps us as parents always know what is happening. His assistants are the same way. They are all the best!

Dr. Friend is not taking new patients, so we ended up with a different dentist who didn't seem to care very much about our child or our parenting choices when it comes to dental care. They also have too many rules there that really put a damper on the experience. They won't let you take pictures in the dental room, even if only your child is in them, so we weren't able to capture the moment of our 1 year old's first dental experience. They also wouldn't let both parents in the room, which is something that is important to us. If I had known these things in advance, I would have gone somewhere else.

One star is far too generous for this office…read more The staff at the front desk are consistently unprofessional, rude, and unwelcoming. Their attitude alone is enough to make families feel unwelcome the moment they walk in. During our second visit with our 18-month-old, we were suddenly told that only one parent was allowed to accompany our child in the back. Strangely, on our first visit both of us were allowed to be present. So which is it? A real policy--or just whatever the staff decides on a whim? Either way, it reflects extremely poor consistency and a complete disregard for families' needs. This rule might make sense for an older child who can understand what's happening. But with a teething toddler who is frightened, cannot communicate, and often requires both parents to manage even a simple tooth-brushing at home, it is completely inappropriate. For the staff to dismiss this concern with coldness and zero empathy shows an alarming lack of sensitivity for the well-being of young patients. Pediatric dental care should prioritize compassion and support, especially for infants and toddlers. Instead, this office demonstrates the opposite: hostility, rigidity, and an unwillingness to meet children and families where they are. If you value professionalism, consistency, and basic human decency in your child's care, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

Autistic Parents and Parental Rights! First! Mary is absolutely amazing assistant as well as Drs,…read morethey are gentle in their approach, understanding and presented amazing patience. However; I'm extremely distraught and so disappointed over this last appointment 8/2/23 645 am. scheduled X-ray I advised the dental assistant Ronnel during a call of his ASD sensory difficulties, fears and expressed concerns of any and all medical services, due to traumatic events, hospital stays, NG tubes, IVs, ear probes, swabs, needles and so much more! it's an absolute panic fear. He's petrified of anything; nail clippers, hair cuts, Loud toilets, sounds, the list is endless.Upon arrival he happily followed Previously we were taken to the special room for special needs, instead we were asked to sit in a cubby where most would get X-rays, after a few minutes he quickly reverted to anxiety and feared he was getting and NG tube, or shots at which time Mary walked by and recognized him & advised he will need to go to the special room. We retreated to the special room where for a bit we were all working towards getting him to bite the film for X-ray the first 2 took a few minutes, for him to see it was ok to bite the film. Once he saw the "sanitized" bag with the small clamp that holds the film for side pictures he went into super anxious mode and Exclaimed NO don't pull my teeth out, all of his sensory issues were in full display in which the attempts to explain went for a while. Mary the one assistant retrieved one so I can show him it doesn't hurt, it took multiple tries and constant effort to get him to put the entire tool in his mouth he was screaming, crying shaking and begin the meltdown at which time Ronnell said he needed to be held down forehead back so she can insert this medical object down in the side of his mouth, I informed her initially I really didn't want to do that, he will do it once he gets calm and comfortable with putting it his mouth, her responses became, aggressive and aggravated that I didn't want to restrain him, she began a series of over talking my parental rights! I attempted once in placing him my lap to lay him back and instantly he went into full panic, holding his mouth, kicking, screaming and as expected he did exactly what I told them he would do, I was getting frustrated and exclaimed I'm not going to do it this way, we just need to take time and let him do it, in which she responds with another tone that came across that My parental rights didn't matter, over talking and demanding. I was refusing adamantly! She did not respond well to my personal parenting by choosing not to restrain him. She was clearly not respective to my request to allow him to calm down and try again, he was very close to being successful with the help of Mary the other assistant. The situation continued to get more complicated as Ronelle continued her power struggle without regard to my grandsons needs and very clearly traumatized. Her continued attempts to force this caused complete chaos and I advised her I wanted someone else to assist, she responded with there "ain't" nobody's else, this became a issue, as I no longer wanted to keep hearing how SHE wanted to restrain him or threatening to remove him from procedure list, and I no longer wanted to hear her forceable commands and condescending approach and at this point unprofessional actions. Admittedly I was now intolerant of her and expressed I no longer wanted to talk or listen to what she was advising. I asked for the Dr or someone else to come in and assist, she left the room and Mary stayed and knelt down on the floor helped him breath with a calm voice and little extra TLC she convinced him to complete this process got X-rays on both sides of his mouth. After a few moments Ronelle came back to room.To which myself and Mary responded with we got the X-rays sidenote in a gentle format! Mary left the room which left Ronnell in room and she claimed! I'm taking him off the list!!!!!! For his procedure!! Part 2 continues on next review. Advocate for your kids!

I'm sad that Dr. Nutter in California won't be our kids' dentist anymore (he was my dentist!), but…read morethat's the military life and so it was up to our insurance website and the internet to help me find a new dentist for my kids. Yelp isn't used much in Arkansas, so I had to read some reviews on Facebook, which is still weird to me, and I found the website for the Central Arkansas Pediatric Dentistry. I called to request appointments and the lady who helped me over the phone was polite and extremely helpful. If you're a new patient, you can fill out all of the paperwork online ahead of time to spare your hand and save time. Your signatures will be captured once you check in. Michelle & Trudy are the two helpful ladies that sit at the receptionist desk and are the first ones to greet you as you walk in. My information was reviewed and signatures were collected, which made the first visit less stressful since I filled out the paperwork ahead of time. The waiting area in front of the desk has a TV and couches and off to the right of the entrance door (behind the couches) there is a little play area for kids with cool chairs from Ikea that they can hide in. Deidra & Nicolette were the techs that performed the cleaning and x-rays for my kids. Both young ladies were very professional and let the kids warm up to them to help make their first visit better. I was very pleased with how they interacted with my middle two, especially my youngest daughter, because both of them opened up and were comfortable with them by the end of the visit. Dr. Jana came to see both of them and also tried to relate to both of them to make them more at ease. Unfortunately, she isn't really familiar with Star Wars because Sebastian was a little disappointed she didn't know who Kylo Ren was (he was wearing him on his shirt), but we'll give her a pass. haha :) My middle two enjoyed their visit, so I'd say the search was a success. Hopefully my eldest and youngest have a great first visit as well. Either way, Dr. Jana has 2 very pleased patients.

Everything is white with splashes of colors to appeal to kids. If I were able to come to this dentist I would! There are TVs everywhere. Which is great. The waiting area has a limited seating area (but only due to the size of the building) there's a small play area also. They have Netflix and they are nice enough to change kids movies to suit the "primary customers" aka kids in the waiting area :) In the back areas, they are using modern equipment and you guessed it...TVs there too. On the ceiling. Legit. Again...I'd go here...as an adult ha. Our dental tech Kim & Dr Jana were awesome! Highly recommend. Oh & military peeps, Tricare/Met Life accepted.
