Perfect spot for a Sunday afternoon stroll. Would give 5 stars but I wish they would clean the lake better. It's always so dirty and filthy. It's not that hard to have someone pick bottles and plastics that people throw into the lake.....(yes, it would be better if people didn't do it in the first place but since that's out of their control, maybe they can at least keep it clean)

Fun park with all the normal park stuff. The water is higher than it has been and there are tons of ducks.

Kiwanis park is BIG. My family comes to this park twice a week for play dates and T-ball. The play structures are thoughtfully arranged and you can see your kids playing from any angle. The playground is situated on the sand so closed-toed shoes are recommended. There is a zip line, numerous slides, rope climbers, and lots of equipment for younger kids as well. Seating is never an issue as there are a bunch of tables and benches. There is a drinking fountain although it would be more convenient if it was a bottle refill station. The bathrooms are what you would expect for a park but are usually out of soap. My kids never get tired of playing here and I'm sure yours will enjoy it too. The baseball fields are clean, and well-lit, have plenty of parking, and best of all, have clean bathrooms (with soap). Although this is our first time participating in Tempe sports, I have enjoyed our practices and games here. This park has a lot to offer including a lake, batting cages, and volleyball courts. Although we haven't been able to utilize all of the amenities, I recommend Kiwanis for families, playdates, and sports!

Feeding the ducks here makes for a great scenery

This park is bigger than I remember it being as, I only went to take a walk with pals but I haven't been here since early 2000. It really is a nice park to walk and have picnics but, it would be even nicer if the water in the center were cleaner. The water is gross and our poor duckies have to glide in that mess. Other parks have clear, fresh, blue water so, I wonder why this parks water is so filthy and looks like sewage drained into it‍ Probably won't go back for another Century when I link with the same pals for a walk. I have my favorite park to scroll where there's tons of activities, events and wide open areas that I prefer to scroll in.

The park was pretty quiet today lots of families and couples walking and I had an excellent bike ride plenty of places to stop and rest in the shade!

My favorite park in Tempe. They have it all here: tennis courts, volleyball, rose gardens, lake, fishing, batting cages, pool and playgrounds. There is so much here. I used to visit this location at least once a week for a long walk with my dog. Parking here is plenty and I have never had an issue. Tempe PD do a good job of patrolling this park and they used to store their horses here. Location also serves a community resource for recycling. Very amazing park with lots of activities to do and observe.

Kiwanis Community Park is a well-rounded recreational destination disguised as a park! When you visit here you'll find a plethora of facilities, including an indoor swimming center (complete with wave pool), batting cages, softball fields, soccer pitches, and beach volleyball courts. There's even a bike trail along the canal :-)

It's a huge park! Has plenty of gazebos, each with tables and a barbecue grill. Lake, playgounds, a wave pool, baseball and soccer fields. It is dog friendly as well. Visited on a Sunday afternoon and it was pretty busy.

Duck boat rentals are $30 hour. You have shade and the lake is pretty small, so you can easily go around the lake twice depending on the current. Finish your paperwork online and enjoy a nice hour on the lake

    Looking out on the water.

So peaceful here, plenty of space. Water fountains placed throughout with dog water fountains as well. Play area for kids. Warning not all the public restrooms have doors on the stalls.

    Turtles. Duh!

Love coming to the batting cages here! My tip is to avoid Friday nights- crazy wait just to get in a cage.

Like, genuinely well done. They space the vendor area far enough from the stages so you're not fighting for your life trying to shop while also dodging people who are deep in their "vibe." Huge win. The stages are set up in a way where, even when artists are playing at the same time, it doesn't feel like a chaotic sound clash, which I did not expect but fully appreciated. Also noticed they adjusted the layout a bit this year (especially around the Rise Up stage), and it worked. Way smoother flow overall. GA+ still not exactly bursting at the seams, but hey, more room for the rest of us. Sound? On point. Setup? Thought out. Experience (overall)? Actually great. Now... the people. Let's just say there comes a moment in life where you realize a fan base is no longer your fan base. And for me, that moment was somewhere between hour 8 and hour 9 of holding down my spot, when I got full-on trampled by someone who apparently believed personal space is a myth. Ma'am. I had been standing there for nearly 9 hours. NINE. This was not a casual pop-in situation. Up until that point, everything had been amazing. The music, the energy, the flow, chef's kiss. But that one interaction? Immediate vibe break. That said, I'm choosing growth here: I genuinely hope she finds whatever she's running toward... and maybe learns how not to run directly through people to get there. Overall though? As a venue for this fest, Tempe Beach Park absolutely delivers. I'll be back... just maybe with stronger crowd boundaries and a little more side-eye.

It's a beautiful location with scenic views of the bridges and water, and there's even a nearby museum which adds to the experience. Parking can be a bit of a mixed situation. There is a parking garage available, but it does require payment. We also noticed an additional open lot next to the garage where you can park for free; however, it is gated and the surface is mostly dirt and rocks, so just something to keep in mind. One thing we didn't come across was a public restroom, so it's unclear where the nearest one is located. Overall, it's a great area to visit and enjoy events. My only suggestion would be to add more parking options or provide a designated free parking area for visitors, so not everyone has to pay for parking.

There's also a scouting activity area that looked interesting and seems to be for scouting troops to have campfires and outdoor activities. Technically there's also a hummingbird garden but unless you parked in a specific spot or know where to look, you'd miss it as its small and tucked in a far corner. While small, it is nice (aside from the pile of cigarette butts some jrrk left) with some nice plants, a short walking path, and a water feature. It has a lot of desert plants but I was surprised not to see more spring flowers this time of year. The park is nice and the water seemed clean and not smelly, but I wish we had more areas of denser vegetation like the hummingbird area to walk around in. It does seem pretty well kept up and I noticed several newer desert willows growing. At 8 am on a spring Sunday, it was busy with people walking, fishing, at the playground, and doing tai Chi, but parking wasn't an issue.
