We stopped by to try out this coffee place based on reviews from social media. Aesthetically, the place is pleasing, clean, cute, & offers plenty of seating. The pastry item we ordered was also very tasty & big. Our coffee was good. My husband ordered an espresso & I had a lavender latte. I'd say the espresso was better by far. My latte satisfied my crave for an iced coffee, as we were walking around the city & in need of an afternoon pick me up. I wish I would have tried something different. Maybe next time!

Our favorite coffee shop in Oaxaca. They had fresh roasted coffee from Oaxaca and Veracruz, in espresso drinks, hand pour or siphon. We tried the beans prepared different ways, talked to the friendly baristas, and enjoyed the coffee enough that we bought some to bring home. The small selection of pastries is fresh and high quality. Croissants that are more on the bready side, with a hint of sweetness and a good amount of butter. The guava ricotta pastry was our favorite, delivered fresh at 10am. There's also a small selection of designer clothes art and ceramics that have local influence without being traditional. When we travel we can't give up coffee. We always like to find fresh roasted (medium or light roast) coffee to start our day and to bring home with us as a reminder of the place we visited. For Oaxaca, Kiyo was our place!

Kiyo cafe is my favorite coffee shop in Oaxaca. Im obsessed with not only the creative menu of coffee beverages and food, but also the shop's art. It's filled with creative ceramics, jewelry, books, and cool clothing. The iced lavender latte was exceptional, as was the affogato which included a GIGANTIC scoop of insanely delicious and fresh, cold, pulpy coconut ice cream topped with strong espresso. The guava pastry was worth going out of my way for to take onto my plane ride home. As important notes, they also have cold brew and alternative milk options.

In love with this place. I had the oatmeal, which was so beautiful and light. Drinks were delicious and all gorgeous. The croissant sandwich looked amazing. Only dish that was a slight let down was the grilled cheese and tomato soup -- it was nothing special. The shop also sells various pottery and boutique goods for very expensive.

This guys make really good coffee. Not the kind of place where you want to rush. The baristas are very knowledgable and friendly.

This is not as well-known as other popular cafe spots in the area so it's not as busy and there is seating inside. We ordered the shakshuka ($125) and baguette jamon serrano y mozarella ($195). The shakshuka base was more of a soup than a sauce and its flavor was decent. We asked for the sandwich without olives but it still had some in there but it was fine. For drinks the flat white ($65) and americano ($45) were okay. It's more peaceful and not as busy if that's the vibe you're looking for. If you want another place to relax you can head through the door at the back of the cafe to the lobby of the hotel. If you're staying at the hotel this cafe is very convenient to get pastries or coffee.

It's a tad bit romantic in there with low lit lighting.) it's really beautiful I tried to sit out there but was not allowed. It is for guest to the hotel. I had no idea it was part of a hotel. Gorgeous building. That hidden door makes sense. Mostly tourist, a few pretentious folk making me smile. I feel like if I don't look up I could be back at home in echo park. There is a local getting some work done on his laptop next to me. Small place, you could sit at the bar , there's 5 wooden stools. Now to the coffee. I had a single cappuccino with oatmilk. Strong and delicious coffee. It makes me not want to try other coffee shops but I must compare! You'll find goat milk yogurt here and chia pudding which I need before I venture off to my temazcal. Good coffee and grateful for light breakfast items items that are good for my sensitive gut. I asked and the coffee beans are legit from Oaxaca roasted from a place called San Juan cacahuatepec.
