Yesterday, Sunday, 04/04/2021, the wife prepared dinner, and we started to eat (with channel 8 news, Las Vegas), on our high definition, large screen TV. As we just started enjoying our dinner, the news report (6:20pm), showed and discussed a report regarding "Road Kill, and saving to eat the animal killed". The wife and I couldn't believe what news item was being reported during dinner time. This spoiled our dinner, and immediately switched to another Las Vegas news station. Channel 8 (Las Vegas News), is now on our DO NOT WATCH LIST. The channel 8 program news director should be fired. This was very disturbing to watch during the dinner hour. I do miss Brian and Dimetri in the morning, but love the new people also. At least I get to see Brian in the evening now. I love everything about them even personal stories. What a shame it's owners, Nexstar, has decided their stations are worth gold, and demanded all DirecTV customers PAY big time for watching their station. I hope the negotiations break down so that this CBS station never goes back on the air via satellite. That is a LOT of viewers they lost, so if you are a business considering placing an ad on this channel, be aware their number of viewers is WAY lower with the loss of all DirecTV customers for as of July 31, 2019, nearly an entire month. An ad should cost you a lot less money on Ch 8. Sad for their news team who are getting little exposure for their careers. read more

In a recent KLAS TV and their website, one of their journalists, Caroline Bleakley, wrote a story which had the title: "Man arrested in connection with body found in cement." Ms. Bleakley should be forced to go back to school and learn the English language. The word "cement" is a form which is a liquid/viscous state. What she should have written is: "concrete" which is a solid state. Shame on channel 8, specifically their editors. Unprofessional which, to me, they lose credibility. read more

This is on their marketing department, Datasphere. We are a local new business, tight on funds, we did a video on the KLAS website, after 6 months I had not seen any business based on this video. So we contacted them and i was told I still had a few months on my contract be fore I could cancel. Today i contacted them and was told I am on a month to month contract, so i can cancel anytime. I used to enjoy watching the news every morning but since the staff changed some time ago there just isn't the same dynamic there used to be. I find myself not actually listening after just a few minutes. I am also extremely dissapointed in the mobile app. The navigation isn't exactly what I would call user friendly and does not contain more than a few headlines at a time. I would have assumed that with a news source such as this they would have a better application. read more

i do know the news has to be an all around the table for information to the public and local viewers, but has anyone had a thought about what certain information that continues to be told over and over and what it is doing to the families and the injured and the lost of the 1 october mass shooting that these folks have to relive that day over and over every time there is a new story or the same story being told, so if whom every this concerns lets try to back off on everyday that story and let these folks try to get back to some sort of normal life . i do love this station and all that are a part of it so keep up the great work but please think of what this is doing they have been through it enough .... read more
