I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with Dr. Hale and his staff! From the moment…read moreI walked into his office, I knew that he would be my surgeon. His office is beautiful, clean and has up to date technology. That in itself told me he (and the other doctors) were meticulous and professional. I am in the medical field as well and very familiar with this type of practice. I felt very comfortable. The rooms were set up to feel at home and not in some death trap that is the dentist office. Nice wide screen for when he presents x-rays. My husband is in radiologic sales and was super impressed with panorama technology and doesn't see that very often in an office. His staff was friendly and professional, all wore black matching scrubs (which I love) and had savvy titles, which I have never seen before in any medical office setting. Although, I felt at home here, I was still a nervous wreck. I am not a fan of the dental world (which is why I was there in the first place - face palm) and they all made me feel at ease. I had to bring my newborn with me every time and they never once made me feel uncomfortable. They offered to put me in a room upon arrival so that I did not feel like I was in the spotlight and disturb other patients. Again, speaks volumes of how they want their patients to have a calm experience. I filled out my paperwork in the room, and they had me press this button to let them know I was finished...genius. I appreciate those little things, ha. Dr. Hale was superb. I instantly felt like I knew him. Maybe in the sense that I was familiar with the type of surgeon he is. He prides himself on being awesome at what he does. Again, this all reflects on his staff and office setting, too. He has a very cool, funny, cut up sense of humor. He explained the procedure and showed me the xrays on his cool mega screen. I am extremely terrified of going under and quite frankly wasn't too keen on the surgeon putting me under. In my world, anesthesiologists put patients under, so I was like, 'wait, he's putting me under?!'. Pretty sure that's when my blood pressure went into overdrive. BUT after looking him up and reading EVERYTHING I could, it happens that he is more than capable of doing this. I am not very familiar with the dental field, but I can't imagine that they all have these credentials. Nonetheless, if you are at all worried about Dr. Hale putting you under, look him up on google. You will have this zen like feeling come over you. The procedure was so easy. Nothing to eat/drink 6-8 hours prior to the procedure. That's it. There's no long med list to avoid, no diet you have to stick to, no dress code to abide by, etc. If you've had surgery, you know what I'm talking about. Nope, just NPO. I walked in wearing leggings and a tank top, ha. They walked me back into the procedure room, which again, was so cool that it was linked to his office. I didn't have to go to a separate surgery center. I am sure this is typical of oral surgeons, but this was my first experience, so I was in awe. As they were prepping me, to my surprise I saw the office manager in the room setting up the trays, etc. Now, I had seen everything. Mind. Blown. There's definitely something to be said to see a familiar face. I am all about doctors having their right hands, but have never seen them in surgery, other than a PA. Especially an office manager. Very cool. I woke up with almost no pain. I say almost because I still have another tooth that needs a root canal (face palm again). They gave me great instructions verbally and in writing. They walked me into the little room where my husband was and the first thing he said was...'that was fast'. I, on the other hand felt as if I had been sleeping for days. Being a mom of a 2 year old and a newborn, it was great!! Ha. The post op was a BREEZE!! I had almost NO PAIN! Again, besides my other tooth, which is a separate issue from having my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't swell or bruise or any other of the horrific things I would hear about having wisdom teeth pulled. Besides not being able to eat solid food for those couple of days, it was so easy. I couldn't have been happier. I just couldn't do yoga during the healing process, which was a bummer, but whatever. Small price to pay to finally have this done. If you read this novel, Dr. Hale, thank you!! I salute you and completely respect the type of surgeon you are. Thank you for making me feel at home and being this big, kind gentle giant. I could not have been happier with my experience. And a big thank you to your staff - absolutely excellent. I will 100000% recommend you to anyone! If I ever need an oral surgeon again (which I hope I never do - no offense), I will not hesitate to call you guys!

Hello Readers, I am an almost 70 year old women, who needed…read moreto have an infected upper tooth extracted. This is the first tooth I have ever lost, so I was fairly upset. Tooth was not savable. When I arrived, I was pleasantly greeted by the ladies at front desk and taken in immediately. I was taken to an impressive, clean and organized suite. The assistant, Yesenia, very kind and supportive to me, offered me a pillow, blanket, whatever I needed to be comfortable. She placed a bit of gel anesthetic in area, to start numbing procedure. Dr Hale, came in quietly reassured me, and we started. I did not feel any of the shots ! Awesome!!! Both Dr and assistant very gentle. I was awake for this involved procedure. Unfortunately, the infection I had, had perforated my sinus and required a membrane and bone graft to ensure complete healing. Dr Hale had gone over this possibly at my consult, so this was not a surprise. The tooth was removed quickly and painlessly, the membranes placed and bone graft into place and some sutures. I felt very comfortable and entirely relaxed during the procedure. I felt no pain, just as Dr Hale described, just a bit of pressure. He was spot on. Procedure was efficient and everyone seemed very coordinated. The anesthetic has since worn off. I have no pain or any swelling. I did take some rx pain meds when I got home, over 5 hours ago. But at this point forward, it will be just motrin. I chose Dr Hale as he has a stunning reputation in Los Angeles and Nationally. He lived up to it and deserves it. Entire office was supportive and comforting. I think I was more upset about losing the tooth, than I was about extraction and bone graft. It seemed very routine to him. That's good, he's a experienced and skilled surgeon . Highly recommend ! FYI I am a surgeon myself, I am in a good position to evaluate others.......He and office fulfilled my expectations

For many years, I would honestly make up any excuse not to go to the dentist. Every experience I…read morehad before was negative, stressful, and something I truly dreaded. That completely changed the moment I walked into Canoga Valley Dental and met Dr. Arsen. For the first time in my life, I actually felt excited and motivated about my treatment plan. Dr. Arsen took the time to explain everything clearly, came up with a plan that made sense, and -- most importantly -- made me feel confident and comfortable following through until the very end. That has never happened to me at any other dental office. I can honestly write a million things about how great Dr. Arsen is, but until you walk through the door and experience it yourself, you won't fully understand. He's not just an incredible dentist -- he's genuinely a great person. I never thought I'd say this, but I actually like and trust going to the dentist now. The front office staff is just as amazing, especially Martha. She truly went above and beyond in ways you rarely see anymore. She stayed on top of me to make sure I didn't miss appointments, knew I had a habit of running late, and jumped through hoops to help keep me on track -- without ever making me feel uncomfortable or judged. She even took the extra step to coordinate with my wife and my dad (who I work with) to make sure I could get to my appointments on time. That level of dedication is almost impossible to find. What really sets this office apart is that everyone here truly cares about your well-being. This is not one of those places where you feel rushed or treated like just another patient for a paycheck. The care, patience, and genuine concern from the entire team is something I've never experienced anywhere else. I feel incredibly blessed to have found Canoga Valley Dental. Dr. Arsen and his team have completely changed how I feel about dental care, and I can confidently say I'm with this office for life. Thank you to Dr. Arsen and the entire staff for being such an amazing group of individuals. -- David

I just moved back to the valley to take care of my sick mother and had to find a new dentist. I…read moredon't know why but I think I was feeling that I'm back where I grew up and I can trust people. This doctor talked me into buying a tooth guard I didn't want and didn't need. He was insisting I grind my teeth. I was telling him I think I grinded my teeth in the past but I don't think I do it anymore. I don't know why I doubted myself. I should have seen the red flag when I asked him how much it is and he said "I don't know." When I finished my cleaning it was on the bill for $450 and I paid it, I can't explain why. I was stupid for doing that, I know. My wife confirmed when I got home that no, I do not grind my teeth any longer. Early the next morning I emailed to cancel. No one replied so I called later in the day and they said there might be a lab fee but the person who deals with the lab is out sick for the week. I called again today 1 week later and she said unfortunately they can't give me any refund. Letting people know I wouldn't trust this place. It is BS that the Dr. didn't know how much they are selling their products for. It is also BS that they "couldn't cancel because the person who does it is out sick." To top it off, this whole past week, no one from their office has called me or emailed back. I've had to be the one to call them each time.

My teeth are really sensitive, and not all dentists listen to their patients. Dr. Shokri has always been so gentle with me and doesn't hesitate to numb me if she can tell I'm scared or in pain. I have had very few dentists as skilled as she is. She is so knowledgeable and always on the cutting edge of new advancements in dental treatments. I just finished my Spark aligner treatment with her, and it was the best thing I've ever done. The dental hygienists are super nice here as well and very gentle. I just had a cleaning done, and rather than using the water pick, the hygienist did it manually without me even asking. She knew I had cold sensitivity and accommodated me. That shows me they really care about their patients. This dental practice is very honest, and you can trust they aren't going to upsell you on something you don't need. It's rare to find a dentist like that these days--I would know. I visited five dentists in Woodland Hills before I came here, and this is by far the best place in the area.
