Visited Dr Hale and office today. Came in without appt as I was in terrible pain and my dentist was not open around the holidays. Xrays were taken, determination was made that extraction was needed, my personal dr was consulted and tooth was extracted. Not only that but I was given consultive advice on the future and how it was recommended I proceed -- as we reviewed xrays together. This office and Dr are OUTSTANDING. I am 71 years old and have "been around the block" as they say. I know when an organization is quality, professional, and caring from top to bottom -- including all staff and assistants. Dr. Hale is an incredible oral surgeon. He extracted a bad root canal that was in my mouth for years and made me very sick. His work is nothing short of perfection. I had no pain and no issues after. I am so grateful I was referred to him. This is 7 years later and I have not replaced the tooth that was removed, my other teeth have not moved even though he waned me that they could. Dr. Hale is a God send to me as both my upper and lower teeth have had the dentin stripped and subsequently all are/were infected and broken. GERD and chemotherapy did them in but Dr. Hale showed expertise, compassion and wisdom throughout this rather long journey. He removed all my uppers and I got 6 implants instead of 4 to make sure they all took plus he worked extremely well with my dentist, Dr Solow, in the same building, for a beautiful upper rack! My 16yr old daughter had her wisdom teeth pulled on the 3rd of March. 4 times he tried to get the I.V. in all 4 places are bruised and swollen. My daughter told me he was really mean and had no compassion for her. In another story my mother had gone to him about a few years ago and said "why didn't you tell me it was Dr. Hale? I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience with Dr. Hale and his staff! From the moment I walked into his office, I knew that he would be my surgeon. His office is beautiful, clean and has up to date technology. That in itself told me he (and the other doctors) were meticulous and professional. I am in the medical field as well and very familiar with this type of practice. I felt very comfortable. The rooms were set up to feel at home and not in some death trap that is the dentist office. Nice wide screen for when he presents x-rays. My husband is in radiologic sales and was super impressed with panorama technology and doesn't see that very often in an office. His staff was friendly and professional, all wore black matching scrubs (which I love) and had savvy titles, which I have never seen before in any medical office setting. Although, I felt at home here, I was still a nervous wreck. I am not a fan of the dental world (which is why I was there in the first place - face palm) and they all made me feel at ease. I had to bring my newborn with me every time and they never once made me feel uncomfortable. They offered to put me in a room upon arrival so that I did not feel like I was in the spotlight and disturb other patients. Again, speaks volumes of how they want their patients to have a calm experience. I filled out my paperwork in the room, and they had me press this button to let them know I was finished...genius. I appreciate those little things, ha. Dr. Hale was superb. I instantly felt like I knew him. Maybe in the sense that I was familiar with the type of surgeon he is. He prides himself on being awesome at what he does. Again, this all reflects on his staff and office setting, too. He has a very cool, funny, cut up sense of humor. He explained the procedure and showed me the xrays on his cool mega screen. I am extremely terrified of going under and quite frankly wasn't too keen on the surgeon putting me under. In my world, anesthesiologists put patients under, so I was like, 'wait, he's putting me under?!'. Pretty sure that's when my blood pressure went into overdrive. BUT after looking him up and reading EVERYTHING I could, it happens that he is more than capable of doing this. I am not very familiar with the dental field, but I can't imagine that they all have these credentials. Nonetheless, if you are at all worried about Dr. Hale putting you under, look him up on google. You will have this zen like feeling come over you. The procedure was so easy. Nothing to eat/drink 6-8 hours prior to the procedure. That's it. There's no long med list to avoid, no diet you have to stick to, no dress code to abide by, etc. If you've had surgery, you know what I'm talking about. Nope, just NPO. I walked in wearing leggings and a tank top, ha. They walked me back into the procedure room, which again, was so cool that it was linked to his office. I didn't have to go to a separate surgery center. I am sure this is typical of oral surgeons, but this was my first experience, so I was in awe. As they were prepping me, to my surprise I saw the office manager in the room setting up the trays, etc. Now, I had seen everything. Mind. Blown. There's definitely something to be said to see a familiar face. I am all about doctors having their right hands, but have never seen them in surgery, other than a PA. Especially an office manager. Very cool. I woke up with almost no pain. I say almost because I still have another tooth that needs a root canal (face palm again). They gave me great instructions verbally and in writing. They walked me into the little room where my husband was and the first thing he said was...'that was fast'. I, on the other hand felt as if I had been sleeping for days. Being a mom of a 2 year old and a newborn, it was great!! Ha. The post op was a BREEZE!! I had almost NO PAIN! Again, besides my other tooth, which is a separate issue from having my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't swell or bruise or any other of the horrific things I would hear about having wisdom teeth pulled. Besides not being able to eat solid food for those couple of days, it was so easy. I couldn't have been happier. I just couldn't do yoga during the healing process, which was a bummer, but whatever. Small price to pay to finally have this done. If you read this novel, Dr. Hale, thank you!! I salute you and completely respect the type of surgeon you are. Thank you for making me feel at home and being this big, kind gentle giant. I have had monumental dental issues that Dr. Hale has been addressing for the past two years. I had to have a surgical extraction of my wisdom tooth, and I paid almost $600 up front. The extraction went very quick & easy - I was awake the whole time, and everyone was really nice. Afterwards they gave me an RX for meds after, and I went on my way. At no time did anyone mention any additional fees or anything, my husband was with me the whole time and they never mentioned anything to him either. Almost 6 months later, I receive a bill from them for around $500, so of course I am confused and call them, left a voicemail THREE TIMES trying to figure out why I am being charged again. $1,100 is a lot of money for a tooth extraction that took 20 minutes! Nobody ever got back to me.. So instead, they have now sent me to collections.. I am now in collections for debt I have no clue what it is. Beware of this SHADY dentist office & their bogus charges. I had a tooth extraction, bone graft and implant done by Dr. Hale. He took a lot of time prior to the procedure to get every measurement using some pretty cool xray and analysis tools. He discussed the whole process with me, what would happen, what to expect. I went in for the procedure, they knocked me out and I woke up an hour later with the process done. A couple hours later as the numbness wore off I took one pain killer in anticipation of what was to come... As it turned out I probably didn't even need that. Amazingly right from day 1, I had negligible pain. It's now a week later and there was no swelling, no pain, no problems. It was absolutely amazing. I've had root canals that have hurt much more than that. I highly recommend Dr. Hale. Like many people I don't cope too well with dental pain so to have a relatively complex procedure like this and not suffer at all from it is almost beyond belief. Thanks Dr. Hale!!! read more

I am towards the end of my Invisalign treatment and having 3 of my 4 wisdom teeth already out, wanted to make sure that my wisdom teeth won't be a problem. I went to an oral surgeon who told me I need to get them out immediately and I should get a care credit card to pay for it. He also informed me that two of my teeth were sitting on a nerve and it's very possible that the nerves would get damaged after the surgery. Then I was referred to doctor Hale by my sister in law. I honesty don't believe I have ever met any human being in my life as amazing as him. Extremely ethical, highly experienced and very kind hearted. He looked at my panoramic film and said that given the fact that my wisdom teeth have been out for the past 25 years and haven't caused any problem, I won't need to do a surgery and get them out. He said he will do a surgery if it's absolutely needed and my teeth were very well kept with no decay and therefore, there was no reason to touch them. When I went to pay the office visit, I was informed that since we didn't do anything, I won't need to pay. This was my consultation visit. I can't remember the last time I walked out of a doctors' office without paying. The fact that he actually cares about his patients and doesn't see them as only checkbooks, made me realize that there are still good people in this world. Please, please, if you ever decide to do anything with your wisdom teeth, just get a second opinion from him. Let me start by saying this post is 100% authentic period. I've been to Dr. Hale twice for extractions one for a wisdom and one for a molar. Both were the quickest and most amazing extractions PERIOD. Literally PAINLESS, it's incredible I'm in SHOCK!! The recovery was two days on Motrin AND BARLEY ANY PAIN!! Kept my mouth clean, rinsed and I was done INCREDIBLE. Dr. Hale is on a whole other level seriously beyond legit. I had one tooth removed earlier this year from another dentist/surgeon. First of all Dr. Hale is my hero. I put off getting a dental implant for almost 2 years because I was so petrified. By chance I saw Dr. Hale on a different matter and so I brought up the issue of the implant. He took a great deal of time to explain to me the entire process with such confidence and such caring that I decided to go ahead with the procedure . I was put to sleep in the office and it went so easily and when the Novocain wore off I had no pain. He also follows his patients carefully and continues to follow them for two years after the implant. On top of that on the weekend of New Year's eve I had a dental emergency were a piece of my tooth broke off and for whatever reason my dentist had no back up. I called Dr. Hale's office and they told me to come right over and he patched it for me at no charge. He is an extremely skilled practitioner but more important he is a wonderful guy. When I had the implant he gave me a card with his personal cell phone in case I had any worries or problems. There is no one else that I would ever consider going to besides him even if I moved away. Also he did not take my particular insurance so I paid in cash and I thought it was quite reasonable considering how much she did including several CAT scans and the follow up appointment for months later to re-open the incision to get ready for the actual truth. read more

I cannot rave enough about Dr. Hale and his staff. I had to have an implant almost immediately after having skin cancer surgery on my lower lip, which left the nerves in that whole area extremely upset. Dr. Hale was SOOO patient and so available, and just saw me through an extremely rough time. I would recommend him without hesitation -- I even drove out to Woodland Hills repeatedly for my procedures from West L.A.!!! I don't know if he takes insurance, because I don't have dental insurance, but his prices seemed very reasonable, and he has the latest equipment - it lets him pick out your implant on the computer so he knows when you arrive in surgery exactly what he's going to be doing.
