I had an idea how much additional withholdings we would have to send the IRS and FTB, but Tom came in with a lower amounts, which we sent the IRS and FTB. Also, because of the new 2025 S.S. "credits" I trusted his numbers. Not only did we not send in enough, but when we sat down to do our taxes we had to pay an additional $2,660 to the IRS and $1,179 to the State!!! AND, he added a $269 IRS Penalty on our 1040 form. The IRS corrected his mistake and refunded this amount back to us!!! I know our situation was complicated, but that's why I went to a professional (???). Too many mistakes made for me to return to Lyzet's again.
