She was denied ER treatment a few months ago and was taken to Providence Hospital in Hood River where the staff frankly told her later that they thought she was going to die. The ambulance EMTs couldn't believe she was turned away. My friend spent a week in the ICU at Providence, another two weeks as an in-patient, and another several weeks in physical rehab care. I have been employed as a medical social worker and have never seen this level of indifference, which borders on malpractice (I experienced this for myself when I, too, lived in The Dalles and was looking for a general practitioner). To anyone reading this who lives in The Dalles, PLEASE go to Hood River for your medical care! MCMC is a lawsuit waiting to happen. One star is too high a rating for this place.

the care givers here are fantastic. we are so fortunate in the Gorge to have this facility. it's…read moreso pleasant to see care givers proving honest care. they were hard working, gracious and giving. our insurance system might be broken but the care givers here rise above it and do the best they can and beyond. they treated from husband from emergency through admitting with grace, professionalism and manners. these folks have given me faith that in a system that is broken. a whole lot of people here really care and demonstrate it. thank you to all the staff from the bottom up to the top down. I will never be able to thank them enough!!

His bedside manner is so great that he makes me feel very comfortable which is hard to do because I generally loath clinics and doctors alike. He is kind and compassionate with an open ear to hear your worries. $65.00 flat rate for the office visit and very reasonable costs for blood work. He told me that he only charges for blood work what it costs to process. I joked with my partner today after leaving his clinic that I wanted to get a "I heart Craig Danner " tattoo on my arm. This man is truly one of a kind and well worth the drive from Portland.

She's in her mid 80's and dehydration is a concern as she had not been able to hold anything down for the majority of the day. Check in process was smooth, kind, professional, waiting time was super reasonable (10 min) and the RN assigned to mom was amazing, also kind, professional, knowledgeable, excellent bedside manner. Nikki gets an A+. The intake was smooth, as was the handoff to dr Forrest after 20 min or so with Nikki filling out moms chart. Dr was also professional, efficient, dug appropriately for information regarding past issues, and current issue. Got to the bottom of it with good old fashion detective work. Well done Dr! Long story short, a few bags of hydration later, mom was back on her feet, feeling much better, and walked out to sleep in her own bed. Excellent experience at MCMC ER. Well trained kind staff. Dr. Amy Forrest, the ER physician was great. She managed my pain from a broken ankle (2nd time in…read more6 months, despite 9 pins and a metal plate surgically installed in July 2021). She had a great bedside manner and truly cared. She made sure I was taken care of. The RN who put on my cast was great too because she made sure it cured in the position with a bent foot (so I wouldn't get "drop foot" she said). I was out of the ER within about 4 hours. The only reason this review is a 4 and not a 5 is because I thought I broke my knee, shin and ankle in the fall (slipped down a hill on gravel) and I had to ask the nurse to clean the wound before they put the cast on (?) to avoid an infection. And, I had a heck of a time getting someone to get me an ice pack to keep it from swelling. Three (3) ER staff came in and I asked each of them for an ice pack and each time they said they would bring it. . . 45 minutes passed. I finally called the front desk at the hospital and asked to be transferred to the nurses station. I can't walk (no crutches or wheelchair), no call button to contact someone, and they close those big heavy doors to the ER room so you'd have to yell at the top of your lungs and sound like a crazy person to get their attention. Then, the RN who told me I was discharged said to make my way to the front to leave. . . then shut the door. Ugh, no crutches or wheelchair with my right leg in a cast. I couldn't even get to my clothes. I had to pull a chair with my good leg and transfer myself, then open the door and call out for help. The RN responded, "Well can you get yourself dressed?" Kind of rude.

But I really would only give this place a one star at best. I will repost my previous review. I don't know why. But if you put a negative review on here. It gets taken off. My experience here is I only seen the PA Ben H. I seen him a few times in July. He is terrible. Does not listen to you and how you are feeling. He decides the plan of treatment without you. I moved here in July. Tried to tell him I needed refills. He said " I don't do blanket refills ". So I had to stop my heart medication abruptly. He just doesn't care. And don't expect him to apologize for his behavior. He thinks he is right. And just to make sure you know how serious this is. I will post pics of my blood pressure without my meds. I believe your life is important. Go somewhere else and save it. I wanted to share more concerns. My mom was also seeing Ben Hearty. First she told him about memory problems. He has a simple answer : your getting older and that's normal. I brought her to another doctor and he checked her out. She went through some tests. And we found out she had the starting of alzheimer's. And now she is a medicine to help slow it down. So you can she how serious it is if you have a love one to see someone else. Next she was sent to a foot specialist. And once again be screwed up the paperwork. That's was according to the foot doctor. They said that now with the doctor she has now. They can get things done quickly. That doctor knows what he is doing. So once again. Please think things through of you go and see Ben Hearty. Good luck.

I started seeing her following a Motor Vehicle Accident, which has created disc and nerve issues in my spine, post concussion syndrome leading to bad anxiety and issues with migraines and much more. When PT wasn't working she was more than willing to try something else. When my anxiety was bad, she gave me some different options for medications as well as some different things that might help ease it. The receptionists there are always so welcoming and friendly as well!! Definitely recommend this clinic and Dr Williams!!!

Yesterday, I had my procedure performed by Dr Michelle Edward's, M.A. Monique, w/support by Nurse Jill and M.A. Tracy. These ladies were remarkable. Very attentive, perfect bedside manners, explained thoroughly what to expect, and responded wonderfully with my questions. The fact that I received a call at the end of the day as well as this morning, just to see how I was feeling... I cannot express enough how much I appreciate these ladies and Gorge Internal and family medicine offices.
