Came back for our follow up and saw Dr. Long. We waited over an hour after our appointment time in…read morethe lobby, only to wait another 30 minutes in the exam room before anyone came in. By then, my poor daughter had been waiting to use the restroom, so she had just left when Dr. Long finally came in. I said, "Oh, my goodness. She just ran to the restroom! She tried waiting." He rolled his eyes at me, grunted, and said, "I'll be back..." Not another word. No "Hi, I'm Dr. Long," or "Gee, I'm sorry you wasted two hours out of your day because I'm overbooked," or, "You know what, I'll wait for her, since you waited SO LONG for me!!" Nothing. Just a grunt. Talk about rude. The actual exam that followed did not improve. I'm not sure if he tries to be funny and misses the mark, but he just came off as rude and uncaring. He basically said that there is nothing wrong with her, and to wait for yet another ear infection. Well, if I had seen you FIRST, rather than your NP, maybe you would have seen how bad her chronic ear infections get! This is exactly the concern I addresses when I tried to make the appointment. He just shrugged and told us there was nothing he could do for us. Well, because I do not intend to wake up at 2am to another crying daughter from excruciating pain, only to waste another god knows how long waiting to be treated so rudely by this guy, I will spend even more money to go see someone else. Someone who has more respect for the time and care of their patience. Avoid!

It had absolutely nothing to do with the patient care. We will Never be back here, neither will anyone we know or care about that we know goes here. This was a disgrace of an ENT office and appointment. Save your money and your time, and pick a different doctor's office!!!!!

I recently had a tonsillectomy by Dr. Todd Preston…read more Overall everything went well. Great staff, good doctor. However having this procedure I'm my mid 30s is extremely painful with several week recovery. Dr. Preston only gave me a 5 day supply of pain medication and refused to give any refill. I was in extreme pain after the meds ran out. They passively told me to go to the ER to get refills. I was rather put out by this experience as ER visits are not cheap. It would have been more practical to just give me a refill. So my best advice is to discuss your pain needs prior to any procedure. But overall, Dr. Preston is a good doctor. I'm just a bit frustrated over the experience.

I saw Rande Lazar, MD, a physician in this practice this week to extract a bug that flew into my…read moreear while I was sleeping. My friends and family's reaction (even some the nurses in the St Francis ER) was OH MY GOSH, that makes my skin crawl! Indeed, it was a very stressful experience, spending all night Friday in the E.R. only to leave because they did not have the proper tools and could not remove the bug. My friend who was an ER nurse for years in Somerville for 20 years said she was amazed the ER doctor could not remove it, that this is common in ERs. The only positive was that they were able to kill it, so it stopped moving about 3 a.m (did I mention I got there at 11) The next day, I learned St Francis Park's ER does not have an Ear Nose and Throat doctor on call (Methodist Germantown does) and that I would have to wait until Monday to have the dead bug removed.I can't tell you how upset I might have been had I allowed myself to think about it too much and as the thing must have been up against my ear drum because at times it was very painful and was achy the rest of the time. But back to Rande Lazar. This group agreed to see me on Monday in Bartlett, I paid $180 for an office visit, only to have this man treat me rudely with a complete lack of simple manners, kindness, respect, and no patience what so ever. He did not speak when he entered the exam room, he reached for my left ear and when I said the bug was in the right ear he sarcastically said 'Well can I LOOK in this ear?" He then told me to follow him, (the nurse told me it was the microscope room) then he simply said "Lay down on the table ma'am". He did not say anything else, explain anything. I paused and tried to tell him I have a bit of a phobia of things being put in my ears because many ear infections as a small child and as for his patience, he was again abrupt and told me if I could not be still he would need to sedate me and take the bug out at the hospital. He said he would try only once, I winced, cried out and he told me he would only try once more. After three attempts, he was able to get the bug out. He did not say anything again, I asked the nurse, "Did he get it?" He simply said "show it to her." and left the room. She did really quickly and then took it away. The little young nurse was my only saving grace and did try to be comforting without saying anything. She seemed a bit scared. The entire experience was again, very very stressful, everything from the St Francis' ER doctors seeming cluelessness about what to do and lack of proper tools and of course, the experience I had with this practice. I have actually worked 20+ years in healthcare myself in a support role for a biotech pharmacy and in long term care, and I am a grandmother. I have a high pain tolerance and everyone who knows me will tell you, I am a very calm person, very reasonable and tolerant and do not normally complain. Actually, I have never written an online reviews before. But I am rather sickened and frankly amazed that I was treated this way. There is no excuse for this kind of unprofessional, 'dark ages' behavior in a clinician. And it REALLY concerns me that this man also sees children. But, as I have little other recourse and I feel my patient rights were violated, I have no choice but to post this in the hopes that somehow this man will be held more accountable and that this will help someone else reading this who has a phobia.
