I had my husband with me, so I couldn't do the kind of walkthrough I wanted to do. But I made sure to check out their candle selection. I was really glad I did, they have every candle imaginable. Their prices were affordable. Definitely less expensive than ordering online. Plus it's nice to walk around and see all the options. They have an entire crystal and mineral section. I could have been in that store for hours. It had a family environment, parents shopping with their kids. If your kids are into metals, rocks, or crystals this spot is it. I wasn't looking but I'm sure they have D&D stuff and other fun gam I liked the store a lot. Some of these mystic shops have a witchy vibe, which isn't my thing. This place felt more wholesome. Something us old ancestral witches like. Lol I ended up buying several different types of candles, sage, and a Rose quartz for my meditation room. Next time, I go back. I will update with some pictures.

And if you're the owner of a metaphysical shop, do your research as to not sell goods that may be seen as disrespectful to large groups of people. Long version: Listen. You can get what you need most likely if you're spiritual from this shop, BUT-- there's a seeming lack of social responsibility that should concern my fellow respectful witches. They sell white sage and native/African cultural practice tools that are not appropriate for mass consumption. (Outside of people of those descents.) In their 7 day candle section there was an 'Indian power candle' referring to natives, along with the white smudge sticks and other tools of that nature. It is my understanding based upon the actual words of Native American people in the spiritual and witchcraft community that native sourced dream catchers and such ARE an appropriate thing to sell as long as actual Native Americans are the source of these goods and being compensated, but white sage is both unsustainable and not meant to be used outside of their closed practices. And using a native person as a mascot on your candle with the wrong terminology is beyond inappropriate.

As my Guitar Center gently weeps, I find myself writing a negative review for this place…read more Located in Rochester, despite the prices and issues, at least this location has never screwed me over to the extremely aggressive and unfriendly degree that the one in Amherst NY did. I'll never forget the way they treated me up there. There are some creepy similarities here, and I worry that if I bought the same volume of equipment I'd end up with the same awful experience. Some of the associates (at most locations) would say anything to sell you this stuff and then once you get it, everything changes. Oh we never said that. Oh you misunderstood. Oh no it's not meant to do that. Oh we're not responsible for that breaking. Some shady and really bad people. On the other hand the people down here are better than the Buffalo staff, not saying much though. My experiences here have been more positive, but I'd still rather go to a local music shop.

Although the reps were not rude, they certainly were not attentive. I showed them the bass. One guy needed to show it to the mgr. He came back and said they didn't have anything that would fit. Then he thought we could look and I remarked that was a good idea. They only had three and none would fit. I said Ibanez had a part number of one that went with the instrument on their website. We returned to the front counter and I thought he was maybe going to look it up. I also started some research on my phone. Next thing I knew he was checking customers out. I guess I was done. No acknowlegement, no "Sorry, we can't find anything", nothing. So I left. Won't be returning to this location. And they wonder why folks shop Amazon!

For $1,000 plus that I was out of pocket- the appointment began with the technician telling me be careful the machine is broken - to the measurement and selection of glasses with a person who very clearly was unqualified and disliked her job to the ultimate and final straw of pick up the glasses with the staff worried about chatting with her grandson - handing me the glasses and a bag and saying oh cute frames. NEVER EVER AGAIN! This is just the spark notes - it was worse than this outline by far!

The long-term staff seem to have left - although that's impressionistic. , The people who work there are still helpful, and friendly, and patient. The parking lot is not very full. Perhaps others -- both staff and patients -- are now having the same experience of digital life as applied to glasses that I have I generally hate digital life. (Uh, but not yelp.) Digital life in the world of Visionworks was not good. One staff member actually said the only problem with telemedicine is it takes so long. Uh, it's not good if a new system is put in place that makes everything take longer. I will find another place for glasses. For many years before I was with this location for many years, I was with Vincent Greneiro for many years. I came over here because of my insurance plan, although Greneiro and the staff at Lenscrafters was was just great. Visionworks isn't worth it for the insurance plan for me anymore. Not with telemedicine. Thanks, though, for friendly helpful people for a lotta years.
