I have never left a review of a place in my life. I had such a horrible experience I had to share. Brought in my xbox to be fixed. quoted $100 but once dropped off got a call it was now $170. They "fixed" it, I paid. I went home, plugged it in, still won't work. Brought it back, they "fixed" it again. went home and still didn't work. Returned and asked for a refund and was basically told to go to hell. I didn't get a dime back and still had the exact same problem with the Xbox. Took it to a different place now and they said they will not work on it because genius repair did not use legitimate Xbox parts when they tried to fix it. Still have had no refund. Flush your money down the toilet instead of going here. save your self the trouble. read more

apple iPhone battery replaced... Good service and straight forward but... battery replace is non apple product and I want aware of all the issues associated with moo non apple products. didn't know that generic non apple battery is worse than the old battery because iphone will not recognize the battery so it doesn't recognize battery, does not optimize battery, and does not give you any information as to the status of the battery. I don't know how much charge I have left. it goes from 75 percent to 10 percent in 1 minute then shuts off. I have to go to apple and get their battery assuming they will replace it as I have a non apple battery. read more

My son's Nintendo 3DS wasn't charging and we were headed on a 24 hour round trip road trip. I NEEDED this kid to have a device! Lol After poking around YouTube and self diagnosing it with a faulty charging port, I took it in to Genius Repair on Jefferson Rd in Henrietta. They took it in the back and within 5 minutes, it was returned to me with the advice to try an original charger as he didn't think it was the 3DS at all, but the aftermarket charger. I appreciated the integrity and friendly staff so much. And I REALLY appreciated the silence in the car while my kid played the heck out of that miraculously healed 3DS. Thank you! read more

The customer service here was excellent and the timeline they made my repair in was a very quick turnaround, even with having to order a part. I was disappointed, however, with being charged more than what they quoted me for (which was high for the job to begin with). I need my laptop as a student so I am pretty much at the whim of the store but I feel their prices could be more fair. I so want to give them a good rating but a year ago in March 2018, I dropped off my Surface Pro 3. I put down a $150 deposit. Over this past year, I have called at LEAST 8 times and stopped in 3 times. Every time I call they tell me they will call me back and never do. Or they say they don't know and will leave a message for someone to call me back. I have left messages for the manager to call me and he did once and gave me a runaround and double talk. I called today and talked yet again to Brian. He said he didn't know but would call me back. Surprise! No call yet! Brian was the one who checked me in a year ago. I know this because in my phone, I have his name along wit Genius repair in my contacts list and put it in while still in the store. I want to know why I keep getting ignored! If this was an isolated case, I wouldn't mind so much, but this has happened every time I call. They pawn me off, neglect to return my call or don't follow through. Why? Where is my machine? That is an $800 tablet and I gave the $150. What gives? I want my surface back in good working order. Or, I want it back along with my money! All they had to do is say they can't fix it. But they won't. Just fix it please! I would never recommend this repair shop. Period. They ripped me off and neglected to do their job and at minimum won't communicate. It has been a FULL Year! Heard about this place from a friend. Very accommodating and friendly. My daughter dropped her iPad and yes, it cracked, so we needed to get the screen replaced. I called Genius repair and they said "come on in!" We stopped by later that afternoon and dropped off her iPad. They told us to come back in about a week. One week later, we stopped in to pick up her iPad. It worked perfectly and the price was reasonable. I appreciated their great customer service. Dropped my iPad down the stairs. Apple Care wanted sooooo much money!!! Brought it in to Genius Repair. Price was waaaaaay lower than apple care and competitive with other repair places. Greg had it done in 2 hours. He was friendly, accommodating and efficient. The glass seems premium, unlike the repair I had done at the mall. Terrible service. I came in with my PC thinking the issue could be power related but wasn't sure. They charged me $40 to do a diagnosis on the PC, and all they told me was that it wasn't the power supply or memory but could be the CPU or mother board. This took over 2 weeks since they didn't even have a spare power supply to test the computer with, and never called me back when they said they would after returning their voicemail. After their technicians ghosting me I had to call them again, and they told me they can't further diagnose my PC's issues without more money. Not happy with their service at all. I paid for a diagnosis for the full computer, since if I only thought it was the power supply I could've tested it in way less time myself, but all they did was test one aspect of the computer and tell me it wasn't that. Genius Repair is THE place to get your electronics device fixed!!! I took my iPhone 5c in for a popped screen. Not only did he explain why it was popping but also the few ways of fixing it and restoring it to like new condition. The price was very reasonable and my phone looks and works like it's brand new!!! I had an extremely positive experience with Genius Repair! My phone fell out of coat pocket, and landed flat on the glass screen, and apparently with enough force to spiderweb the entire screen. For awhile, I was that person from the commercial, wincing with every swipe against all of the cut glass -- hahaha! The reviews for Genius Repair were positive (thank you, Yelpers!), so I booked an appointment online to drop off my phone. There's a small discount for booking your appointment online, everyone, so be sure to do so! They offered me a further discount if I bundled getting a new battery in addition to fixing my screen, and I'm so glad I took them up on the offer -- my phone seems brand new with this new battery! Customer service was friendly, I feel like the pricing was very fair, and they were done in the quoted 45 minutes. It really couldn't have been easier! A few months back I brought my iPhone in to replace a cracked screen. They replaced it within the hour and I opted for the additional plastic screen protector and was told about a warranty. Two weeks ago, my screen protector cracked and then a few cracks appeared this week so I called them up about my warranty. Apparently the warranty only applies to the screen itself, not the protector, but the owner was nice enough to replace it for free due to the miscommunication. I walked in and they replaced it in less than 10 minutes. This goes a long way in my book and they will get my business again should I need it. read more

I had a problem with my Microsoft Surface Pro where the battery was swelling and pushing the monitor away from the base, making the circuit board visible. I found out to my chagrin that Microsoft no longer services this model. I searched around for an independent who might be able to help me and lucked into Genius. They were able to obtain a new battery, install it, and make the case look like new for $150. When Microsoft DID service this model, a battery replacement cost over $400. Their Facebook page makes it easy to stay in touch and find out how things are coming. This will definitely be my first stop for future electronics repair needs. read more

These guys are life-savers! My iPhone 5s had water damage and the screen turned black while I was traveling in the UK. I brought it to a phone repair store in Manchester, and they told me I gotta wait for 4 days with a charge of 150 pounds to get my phone fixed. But here they clean the water damage, replace my screen and fix the freezing screen with only 110 bucks, and I was able to pick it up the next day. Genius Repair very nice for service at first, but after they fixed your phone and got the money. They are not stand behind of their service and parts. They are said that with 6 months warranty. I have my phone screen replacement it stop working less than 1 month. I brought it back to the store ask them to take a look at it. The first thing they said because you drop it.
