Buyer beware... This place engages in deceptive practices, and the owner lacks scruples and professionalism. I ordered flowers to my aunt who is recovering from a surgery. Below is the pic of what I thought we would be receiving (I purchased the standard of this version -- which you would think would have a similar artistic touch/style but smaller or fewer flowers) below is what was received. Yikes ... ($81) When I called to let them know that the arrangement was not at all what was advertised, Kim became super defensive and not in a professional way. Her proposed solution was to "have someone pick up the arrangement for a full refund or pick up the arrangement and add more flowers to it" I said it would be embarrassing and awkward to retrieve flowers from someone who is in recovery... (from my aunt's perspective, her niece made a thoughtful gesture -- to have someone show up and take the flowers back or add some flowers only makes what was originally perceived as a nice gesture, awkward -- which an unnecessary thing to put my sick aunt through). Kim responded that SHE wouldn't be embarrassed (right, because it was ALL about her) and called me "too uptight". Anyhow, she continued to talk over me, refusing to let me get a word in edgewise... and then she hung up on me. Makes me super sad because I was being soooo nice and careful with what I was saying. I hate taking time out of my day to deal with negative energy, so I figured I'd let Amex deal with her and write this review so that others are put on notice about this place. read more

This is by far the best florist in Middletown, and I buy flowers A LOT! She took my same day delivery super late in the day to my best friend who just had surgery. My friend is very picky and knows her flowers very well and she was beyond impressed with the gorgeous arrangement. It cheered her right up and made her overnight stay in the hospital so much better. I love this florist and will use them for all of my Middletown delivery needs!! I had ordered a hanging artificial flower arrangement in a beautiful glass birdfeeder that I found at the florist shop. Kim, the owner, did a beautiful job with putting this together and at a very reasonable price. While I was at the shop, I was looking at her fresh flowers and noticed that she carries very beautiful, unique flowers. This is the second time I have used KM Designs and it will be the last. My fist experience was good and my mom said the dish garden "couldn't have been prettier. Last week I called and ordered a succulent terrarium which was delivered on Saturday. While the succulents are beautiful, it is not a terrarium. ter·rar·i·um trerēm/ noun noun: terrarium; plural noun: terraria; plural noun: terrariums a sealed transparent globe or similar container in which plants are grown. What she got is not only unable to be closed, it flares out at the top. It's a dish garden. When I called KM Designs and explained that what was delivered was not what I ordered, the owner started yelling at me on the phone and telling me, "well that is our terrarium". I tried to talk to her about it however was unable to get a word in between her yelling. I finally hung up. She then called me back and started yelling at me again. If it was a simple mistake or misunderstanding, OK. But to me, yelling at the customer and calling them back to harass them is on acceptable. Don't ever buy from this place! They are highway robbery and you don't get what you ordered. My husband ordered me a dozen roses the flowers were delivered today and there were 2 roses some carnations and 3 flowers that weren't even open so I have no clue what they are... the kicker is he was charged over $100 for this! We asked for a $25-$30 arrangement and she handed us 3 flowers with 3 pieces of filler, tied with rope. She had the nerve to say "What did you expect" when we complained. Really? For $25, we got an absolutely gorgeous full arrangement from Absolutely Flowers just a short drive away. Don't waste your money or time here. I went to their shop and met the owner Kim, who also designs and creates the arrangements. She took the time to talk with me about some of my wife's favorites, and even about what vase she might like! Her arrangement was amazing and my wife was very impressed. Since then I've used KM Designs many times and Kim has been my go to person when it comes to flowers. Her creations are always unique, artistic, and incredibly beautiful.
