Called up, arranged a time, dropped in, explained the problem to the bloke on hand and waited in the office with Rick. Had a nice chat and not even 15 mins from arriving here the problem was diagnosed as a shoddy tyre valve, it was replaced and the car was ready. Said the valve is worth peanuts anyway so the service was free. Between blokes that know what theyre doing and an honest approach to charging you for work, at least I know where to get sorted for real next time. Reccommended.

The only problem I ever have is trying to get in for the urgent stuff as they are usually booked out for a couple of days in advance, this means you do have to keep your wits about you and not expect them to drop everything for your emergency. Excellent clean workshop with people who know what they are talking about and not trying to rip you off. A full list of works is supplied with every invoice showing you exactly what was done, they also call you should you require any further work before proceeding for acceptance of cost associated. I rang Bob Jane in Slacks Creek, and someone answered the phone after a few rings, which is better than most tyre shops! The guy was polite and was very helpful. Tyre price was average as I found out the price difference between tyre shops seems to be around $10. Wheel alignment price was twice what I could get around the corner in Allgas Street. The guy did give me a discount on the wheel alignment and I took it even though it was still about $20 more expensive than what I could get around the corner. I needed 2 tyres, and if I bought a wheel alignment, I was given the Longlife Tyre Programme. If you don't know what it is, you can read about it on Bob Jane's website. I figured it is probably worth $20. In conclusion, service was good and on time, price was average. I don't know much about cars, but my car runs smoother now, so I think they must have done a good job.

From them I found out that it was my front tyres and that the back tyres get shifted to the front so new tyres can get put on the back (or it could be the other way round-I really should be blonde). They seemed completely unphased by my lack of car knowledge and did the job on the spot with no booking and no hint of the patronising attitude I usually get from such places. Their prices were good in comparison to what I've seen advertised from other tyre places. Would willingly recommend them to any other hapless female needing new tyres.

Went for a simple tire change. Car has splitters on front bumper which they promptly broke when one…read moreof the employees took the car for a drive. The entrance to their premises has a moderately steep change in gradient which was the likely culprit. This could have been easily avoidable had they taken the time and care to simply angle the vehicle appropriately and go slowly when exiting their driveway (as I was able to do quite effortlessly the previous day and as I do at various other places). No real apologies on site, merely that the splitters were already a bit loose and fell off 'somewhere in the parking lot'. Force of the impact on the splitter also damaged the paint on the underlying bumper. Luckily the splitters were only affixed with double sided tape meaning that the impact detached them as opposed to putting more stress and potentially causing more damage to bumper. Tyre change itself was as expected but really not worth it if you factor in the extra cost you'll have to spend when they recklessly drive your car and cause paint damage. Would avoid this place.

KTAS (for short) have been there for years but I have never dealt with them up until about a month ago. The team there are brilliant and Michael and Cassie who run it are an absolute pleasure to deal with. They tell you straight if there is any issues with the car and will give you accurate pricing and also give you options on what needs to be fixed first. The are priced well and you can drop of your car there in the morning and pick up at the end of the day and they are also open on Saturdays. Would highly recommend KTAS!
