July 7 2026 ... It's HOT, and my air conditioning fan quit. A new fan motor was found for my 'older' unit. John installed it and had it working in a timely manner. I was impressed that there was never any 'HIGH PRESSURE TACTICS' to have a new unit installed as my neighbor has experienced with his AC company. The unit is running amazingly well now... perhaps the old motor hadn't been working 'properly' for awhile! I had him check the Freon level and at my request he added some, cautioning that just filling it would only be a temporary thing, if there is a leak... I took the gamble. I was, once again, impressed with the expertise, courtesy, timeliness, and fair pricing of KMP and their technicians, and based on my experience with hot water heater replacement, offset flange replacement in slab(!), and now HVAC service, I highly recommend KMP! read more

we had a clogged drain that caused a flood in the kitchen and laundryroom. john showed up right on time and immediately got to work. he discovered the problem and unclogged the drains. the issue was old pipes and a build up. he cleaned the drains and stated that even though the pipes are old they appeared to be in good condition. we were very happy with the job he did and if we ever need a plumber again, we will call on kmp. we beleive that everyone at kmp that we have dealt with is honest and upfront regarding the work and the price. read more

Long story short, I needed two shut off valves changed out for two toilets. I know how, but didn't have the time or the right tool to remove the flange on the copper pipe, so we called KMP. I went to work, and KMP came out and while they were there, I had my wife to ask how much it would be to change out the toilet flush handle (save me a trip to Lowes) and our bathroom faucets could probably use some new O rings as they drip a little when the water is turned on. She called me about an hour after they got there and told me that she would not let them do the work, and paid them the 79 dollar fee. KMP sent an estimate to my email. OVER A THOUSAND DOLLARS! (See photo) They wanted a hundred dollars to change out the flush handle! This is a ten dollar part and a two minute job, IF THAT! They wanted almost 500 to put in the shut off valves, with the "hard piped into existing".... Makes it sound so hard, but it really just needed to be updated. Again, another part that takes less than 2 minutes and less than ten dollars. So then we get back up to the top, a 29.00 service fee....so I guess this was to get them to pull back into our driveway, on top of the already 79.00 we had paid them for this email. THREE HUNDRED DOLLARS to replace a couple O rings in the faucet handles! THREE HUNDRED! Thats forty two cents worth of parts and less than five minutes work. And then they want to charge me to be one of the privileged to pay these OVER THE TOP prices for a membership! Are you kidding me?!?!?! I cant comment on their work, as they wont ever do work in my home at these prices. I had Curlys Plumbing come out and for 250.00, I got both shut off valves and supply lines changed out. I can do the other stuff myself. Call someone else. KMP has nice trucks and now I know why.....you're overpaying for it! read more

When we saw water running down the driveway on a Saturday afternoon, we knew there was trouble. A neighbor had (a different) plumber at their home who was kind enough to come over and help us get the water shut off at the street. But his dispatch team couldn't get anyone out until Monday afternoon. I called KMP and crossed my fingers. While Henry couldn't make it out Saturday, he was at my house at 8 am on Sunday morning. I provided the fresh coffee and he provided a best-case solution for a broken pipe --- not under my slab and not under my driveway. No jackhammers! It was in the flowerbed, but he didn't even have to dig up any of my bushes. I was fully expecting a $1500 invoice (weekend emergency service) but was pleasantly surprised. I am selling my house and the buyer's inspector convinced them that our water pressure was too high (86 psi & he said 80 was correct). Pressure is like money to me-the more the better! Anyway they specified we have a pressure Reducing Valve on our side of the meter. Donald was dispatched and he was great. He shook my hand when he introduced himself, called ahead to give me ETA and was even a little early. He located where the valve needed to be installed, dug up the yard and got everything done efficiently. He even hauled off the excess dirt & returned the sod to it's place. Donald adjusted the pressure using his gauge to 78 PSI. I had a great experience and used an online coupon for $40. If the work had been $100 less I would add a 5th star. I called KMP to do leak test on my water system and drain system. They told me the service call would be $29. I knew the test would be more than that, but another company had done the same testing a month prior (I needed a 2nd opinion) and I figured KMP's price would be in the same ballpark. They charged $564. The tech was Donald, and he did a nice job, but he was here about an hour. When I looked back at the cost from the other company, it was $295. I called KMP back to ask why so high & was told that's their price, period. They refused to make any adjustment, even when I advised them of what the other company charged. I have no problem with the quality of their work, but suggest you compare prices first. I saw a similar review from another customer. read more

Had a leak at the water main, had the city come out to tell me it was on my side of the meter. So I went on Yelp looking for a plumber and came upon KMP, so I gave them a call and to make a long story short, I arranged with KMP to come out between 2 - 5 PM but would call if they got an opening. They called and showed up before noon, gave me the estimate and started to work. They had it done very quickly and efficiently even made some improvements on the connection to the sprinkler system. Called midday Saturday to have urgent repairs made to my broken water main. They arrived within an hour, charged 79 for coming out, confirmed the repairs to be made as well as the price they wanted to charge (fair and reasonable in our opinion) we agreed and the work was completed with an hour or so. These folks came out to my house to replace a sewer line. They started digging on the wrong property first , then they started digging in the wrong place on my property severing the tree roots of my silver leaf maple trees that died within a week of this mistake. They told me my sidewalk would not be damaged but ended up tearing it up anyway causing me to hire a mason to pour a new sidewalk . After they did more damage then I had ever imagined and I disputed the bill because of this they sued me. In the end the back fill of dirt was done improperly and pulled the sewer line down causing the sewer line to break in about a year. I had to hire another company to come out and dig my front yard up all over again and repeat this job that should have been done right in the first place. AVOID KMP LIKE THE PLAGUE !!!! I've done business with KMP as a vendor for the company and never had any problems with them. I decided to use them as a customer and that is a different story. In August 2013 I had a problem with a leak in my front yard and was happy to call a local company to come fix the problem. They fixed the problem which did not take long at all but cost a little under 300 which seemed pretty high but I thought the problem would be done so I was okay to pay the bill. Come to now in August 2016, the same exact problem has started leaking in the same exact spot. I called KMP to see if there was a warranty or some sort of discount since they were the original Plumbing company to fix the problem. I was then met with terrible customer service by the woman who answered the phone and would go to the line "did the ground move?" and continued to not give any answers or solutions. I was then transferred to the boss who said that they back their work but was not going to warranty or discount anything for fixing the same exact problem and "good luck with trying to get a company to give you a lifetime warranty." read more

I am not a happy camper. Earlier this Summer, I had KMP come clean out my sewer line. While they were able to clean the roots out where another plumber couldn't, they informed me that my line was broken near the curb that they could not penetrate (they marked the spot with paint on the grass and curb) and the sewer line was going to have to be replaced from the house to the street at a cost of $4,700. What they didn't tell me and what I found out from a friend was that any breaks within 5 or so feet of the curb was the responsibility of the City, as it's within the City's right-of-way. The City of Arlington got it repaired, at NO COST TO ME, within 3 days. So, if I had just given KMP the OK to fix it, I would have had my yard torn up, a tree would have had to be removed, my mailbox would have had to been relocated, and I would have been out $4,700. Hhhhmmmm, the City of Arlington repaired it for FREE. So, why didn't KMP tell me to call the City? Surely they know the code. It appears to me they just wanted the $4,700 job! read more
