Stinson Plumbing is our new plumber! We didn't realize we needed to flush/descale our 2 tankless water heaters every year and one finally gave out a few days ago. We called Stinson because they deal with Rinnai brand; they came out, diagnosed corrosion (flushing would have led to leaks after no maintenance for 15 years!) and 2 days later installed 2 new Rinnais. Ryan and Tee were professional and courteous! They let us know each time the water would be off for a few minutes and kept us posted as the job progressed. Rinnai heaters are expensive but good. Had them out this week. Jordan was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. They were, however, way overpriced. They wanted $1721 to change out 2 toilets. I priced the same job later that day at Lowes for $1200. They did snake 1 drain, put new wax rings under, and reset both toilets for $857. The other option was to snake one drain and reset one toilet for $659. I will not be using them again. read more

Beware this place is EXPENSIVE and not great customer service. They did however fix our leak. This morning we called them to come out and fix a hose bib that was leaking from an exterior wall. The hose bib was replaced as well as the copper pipe that connects to the hose bib that was leaking. The total charged was over 800 bucks however he gave us a discount on diagnostic fee and 5% military discount. We still had to pay $772.00. When I called and spoke with the plumber he explained that the diagnostic was usually $280 however he only charged $140 and that was for cutting a hole in the drywall. The rest was labor and parts. Based on the invoice they charged us twice for labor and parts. They were here a little over an hour. read more

Carissa and her team came out to replace my moms water heater and did an amazing job. They were able to get to it quickly so that she wasn't out of hot water for very long at all. They have have also done some plumbing work at my house capping off lines and changing out hose bibs. They always do great work and are very professional. Their free consultation is not free. It costs $139. The consultation is free the "diagnostic" is $139. I paid $139 for the plumber to stand around and wait for my water line to make a noise, then said some valve needed to be replaced and it was $1000. The free consultation is just a trick to get them in the door. I was in a time crunch, so i paid the fee but I sure wish I wouldn't have. I said no and had another plumber come out who said it the valve was just full of debris, and fixed it within minutes (and only charged me $500, including fixing 3 leaks and doing some sealant work). These people are con artists who are out to bamboozle people. AVOID AVOID AVOID. read more

It's late, around dinner time on a Saturday night and we notice water is coming up the sink in one of the bathrooms. Investigation led to a stopped up AC condensation line. Larry to the rescue. When we called him and said it is flooding, not only the upstairs bathroom but now trying to do damage in the garage below, Larry comes out all the way to Mansfield. I asked for an inspection of total system, and let the tech know of a specific issue relayed to me by the seller. He diagnosed the first minor problem he saw and went no further. I asked "That's all?" and the tech indicted "yes". I felt confident in their "expertise" and moved forward with installing flooring throughout the house. After move-in we had a major backup and called them back out. They diagnosed a sewer line issue under my living room slab (and brand new floor). The tech's response was "wish we had known about this a month ago".....which did nothing to make me feel better about the new flooring having to be taken up at my own expense and the disruption for my family...which again, I wanted to identify and resolve BEFORE moving in. The rest of the work was poorly done and they made two more trips out to try and resolve....which could've been caught in the initial call had there been some quality control, or even a simple thorough inspection. I diagnosed on my own that they had installed a part backwards. This was also extremely frustrating as I am NOT A LICENSED PLUMBER, and they missed it TWICE before. The office manager (Mrs. Stinson) genuinely seemed to care about how their company let me down. However, there was very little accountability from Mr. Stinson beyond admitting that the work had been of poor quality. I still have a sewer repair to complete, but I have vacillated between giving them another chance to do good work...and not giving them another penny. Ultimately, they self-selected themselves out. I needed a quote and description of work to turn into my insurance agent for possible claim. After multiple requests (and assurances from them that they would provide) I gave up. I think they were hoping I would go away. i hired him to come out and replace 2 frost free hose bibs he said they would have to cut into the wall to replace them he said it would cost $500.00 i said ok if you have to cut in the wall they had me over the barrel since he drained my tank and shut off my water he did not have to cut into the wall it took him 37 min to replace both of them they did not even turn my water back on to my house also i called two other plumbing contractors after they left and got an estimate it would cost $200.00to$225.00 to replace both of them including the parts the owner called me back i asked him if he would reduce the cost he said only 50.00 reduction i told him for get about it i would not use this plumbing contractor again read more

Quality of service is not in line with the price. I've used them for 3 separate jobs at my house. The last job was a major sewer line replacement under a concrete pool deck. They had to tunnel under the deck from one end, and dig up a flower bed by the house for the other end. The new sewer line functions properly now. The plumbing work they do is fine. When I addressed my concerns with how the project went (e.g. burying a sprinkler head under the house when they back-filled the tunnel), the owner didn't seem to care much, and even pointed the finger at his own subcontractors (that's your problem, not mine). It's not that the sprinkler head was a huge deal - they just didn't handle the little things well. I expected more for the price I paid. I'll be in the market for a new plumber in this area. read more

Do Not Hire!! I hired LSP for two large (multi $k) jobs, the latest one in 2021. LSP was to fix a sewage line leak and they CUT A HOLE THROUGH OUR SLAB IN THE WRONG LOCATION. Not once did the owner, Larry, or any of his employees apologize or even acknowledge the fact that they made a mistake (or reassure us the mistake would be corrected). In fact, when Larry came to the house on day 3 (was supposed to be a 1 day job), his comment was that we "slipped through the cracks" when the job was scheduled, that the job should have cost several hundreds of $ more due to the change in PVC cost since our quote (PVC cost has nothing to do with the fact that your guys cut a hole in the WRONG SPOT). The issues with this company stem from the top, from an arrogant, belittling, unapologetic owner. The first job was also a total nightmare - we thought it was an isolated incident due to an employee who no longer works there. Clearly I was wrong and foolish to use LSP a second time. LSP fixed the issues they caused on both jobs but both experiences were total nightmares due to the jobs taking 2-4x the amount of days quoted, major mistakes both times, and the rude attitude of the owner. read more

We called the Stenson plumbing company concerning a oven gas leak. They told us an estimate of free services would tell us what we needed to do. The technician arrived looked at the situation and said that we needed to call the appliance company and then proceeded to bill us $144. We still have to get the oven fixed but are free estimate which took less than 15 minutes of their time. What tell us a free estimate? This is bait and switch. read more

I'm really surprised that Larry Stinson Plumbing has so few reviews because he was truly professional and my husband and I knew we could trust him and his recommendations. My husband and I tried to figure out a way to do the work ourselves, but we would have had to do some piping through the 2x4's which needed to be done correctly because the water heater sits in a closet inside of the house and I did not want to risk a leak in the wall. We finally decided to give Larry a call and let the professionals do it. Larry and Mike arrived on time and went straight to work. They were very nice and knew exactly what they were doing. It's been about a week and everything seems to be working perfectly. The hot water barely got warm when we purchased the house a month ago, now it gets nice and hot quickly!
