Great place! Definitely stop here after a day of hiking. Pizza and wings together was about $32 and a beer $9. The pizza oven is right by the register which is cool to see. Just gave it four stars for a typical pizza flavor nothing crazy like seasoning or sauce. Beer was also beer aka great. the staff was also great - we had to call ahead to ask about their menu and hours since we didn't have phone capacity to use the internet. If the weather is nice you MUST sit outside! I didn't experience any bugs after getting ate by mosquitos earlier so this was truly relaxing. read more

Great beer. We both had their sour that was a perfect cloudy dark blonde color. Really good pizzia cooked in a wood fired oven. Super cool rustic wood interior to the place. They have a nice outdoor area with a huge fire pit and views of the mountains in the background. Very pleasant folks serving us. I would go just for the ambiance. This place begs for a cliché idiom we all use on Yelp, so I'm not going to use it and I'll just say what the idiom is trying to convey: this is a special place in an out-of-the-way location largely devoid of special places. Furthermore, it's in a rarefied, nature-y location. You'll wind down a gravel road for what seems to be forever. At the end of it you'll find a very new, very fancy building. Almost too fancy! The place brews beer and serves up piping hot pizza. They do both very well and...for a location this good, they really don't even have to. I got the IPA and a pizza with sausage on it. Both were comfortably above average. It was my least favorite style of pizza sausage though, the kind where it's sliced into thin medallions almost resembling pepperoni. Service was great and the place was sparklingly clean. There was also some truly great photography adoring the walls. If you're looking for post Katahdin beers and grub...this IS the place, accept no substitutes! read more

It has a nice Maine ambience fairly far off the main road with lots of parking. They have a lovely creamy, nut brown ale that was exactly what I was looking for. That's where the good stuff stops. My Caesar salad was nothing more than a bag of Romaine lettuce opened up, dumped on a plate with cheap croutons, and two packages of Caesar dressing. The Margherita pizza had a beautiful thin crust and it was served piping hot. Not sure where the red sauce was. Approximately one and a half small tomatoes and two basil leaves gave up the ghost for this pizza. The tomatoes were the typical store-bought tasteless tomatoes with no attempt to look for something better. This could all be so much better with a little thought put into it. Not everyone comes just to drink beer. read more

Amazing location! Breakfast was delicious (they have homemade bagels!!!), pizza was great! We actually ordered a bunch and brought them to go back to the cabin. So fun. The dark oat beer was a meal in itself... so good! The check in for snowmobile rentals and the cabins was way too easy. Getting gas there was easy too! read more

This place frickin ruled. It's fun to be in the middle of nowhere and then- at the end of a very rough, dirt road, with little signage- is an abyss. We camped in Baxter State Park for five days and came here three times over that span! It was THAT good. This is a freshly built brewery and wood-fired pizza place- tall ceilings, huge space, lots of windows, a little gift shop. It was awesome. When you're off grid and haven't washed your hands in a few days, there's nothing like a chill spot to grab a beer and get a good soap scrub! The food was insane. Like, insane. I got a veggie calzone one night, then a veg pizza, and you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. It's soulful, hearty food, and they care about the diners' experience. It's really thoughtfully made food. That's so cool. Great beer too! We loved the Headwaters. It was delish and had a perfect kick for that wilderness party feeling. Service was iffy- I think we annoyed folks with our clear Portlandness and vacation mode- and they did make a food order wrong (ordered a sandwich and got a salad). It seems like maybe it gets super busy at times, and we just were there when it was slow, so we were seeing the staff getting ready for the rush. Everyone was still nice though! It's beautiful, clean, with delicious food and killer beer. Not far from the park too- an excellent option if you're camping and want some food. Came here before they were even brewing their own beer. Before I go on, this place reminds me of a brewery abutting the mountains of the Colorado or Montana. A picturesque view of the mountains, while drinking a beer and eating some of the best pizza I've had in, maybe, 10+ years. These folks that are building this facility are making some fantastic choices for an overall experience in northern maine. You can book lodging, outdoor activities, and eat and drink all in one area. We can't wait to come back with our family for a stay and to hike in Baxter again. read more

If you are not from the area this Brewery feels in the middle of no were, but it is worth the drive. This newer restaurant/brewery provides a fun atmosphere, a good selection of beer and a great variety of pizza. We had the Greek and Margarita Pizza. Both were made with fresh ingredients, cooked well and tasted amazing. The service is walk up and the staff were friendly. We didn't have to wait too long for our pizza. Next time we are in Millinocket I will absolutely be returning. It was cloudy the day we visited, but we were told there is a great view of Mt. Katahdin. Sorry I forgot to take pictures. read more

Great location after a long scenic drive. Beautiful facility. Staff were very robotic - generally at breweries they are interested in your likes and talking about their beer. Not here. We had our dog so we sat outside and had to navigate around the backside of the place which was a bit awkward since there was no path. Shared a picnic table with other patrons as there were only a few chairs. Was disturbed by one couple sitting with their bare feet on the table in front of them. Gross! Pizza was just ok. Beer good. Stopped at the lakeside restaurant down the road at the recommendation of another patron and much preferred their hospitality. It's too bad because getting a more welcoming, energetic staff would go a long way. Just my opinion. read more

Good first, the pizza and the WINGS are INCREDIBLE. I mean I don't even like wings but these were just soooo good! The beer and seltzer selection is great. The seating was easy and live music was good. The bad.. The nachos were terrible. Like, think microwave cheese on top of some tortilla chips and lazily throw some jalapeños and chicken on top. No flavor, gross cheese texture and just all around not good. The cheesy breadsticks also really had no flavor and were undercooked in some spots with hard cheese in the middle. So all in all you can't go wrong with the pizza and wings. Just don't waste over $30 on the chips and cheesy bread. read more

We were in the area with friends to attend a wedding and visited Knife's Edge Brewery 2 days in a row. The pizza was delicious (and we know good pizza living in the NJ/NY area). My husband said the beer was good and I enjoyed a cider that they had on tap from another cidery. They also sell seltzer and wine as well as nonalcoholic beverages. My husband has a pepperoni and sausage pizza one day and pepperoni and mushroom the next. I am gluten free and was thrilled that they offered gluten free dough. I had a pepperoni pizza both days and it was thin and crispy. They also sell wings that they cook in their wood fired over and have a bbq rub on them. All the food was excellent. They have indoor and outdoor seating options. They have a few games available to play and also have bike rentals. If we were ever in the area again, we would definitely visit. read more

Have visited here twice this summer. It is a new beautiful building catering to those enjoying the outdoors. Great views of Katahdin when the skies are clear, a rare thing this year. This is self service- you order at the counter, pay, get your beer and a pager type device, pick up your plastic ware napkins etc. Find a table, go get your food when pager goes off. This is not a slam- more an observation. Same "service" as at a fast food place, many of which are also suggesting that patrons tip.... They brew their own beers and have other drafts available, ranged from $7 to $9. The wings are superb, IMO. They are served w/o any rub or sauce which you can add at the table, giving more options when you are sharing. Had one pizza here, it was ok. They could use more signage coming in from the lakes. So many dirt roads, so few signs. read more

Out of the way but Worth the drive. The ambiance is casual with fire roasted pizza, wings and more. The service is polite, approachable and without pressure. Don't let the casual feel fool you, though; the food is top notch, well balanced and we HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend the wings. Also- if you like a dark ale, it's crisp and refreshing. 9/10 because of the drive. read more
