We were looking for a place to eat in Houlton, and found this place on line. We noticed the rave reviews and decided we should check it out. I am a bit of a pizza snob, having grown up in Detroit and worked in 5 or 6 different pizza places in high school and college. In the past two years I have been there about 7 times. I've also ordered them from where I live, and since they have drivers there, they've delivered food to me at home too. I've ordered from them many times now, and their food was fantastic. From where we live, it is easy to walk there during the spring and summer, and I've done that many times now. read more

I've been remiss in not posting a review before. We've been to market pizza quite a few times and the pizza is almost always great. There have been a few we didn't care for. The service is always friendly and smiley. They are usually right on about how long it will take. It's a cute place with so many old photos and signs from Houlton. It's really neat to see. This time we got the chicken Alfredo Pizza and it's so good. I wanted to eat more but my tummy said no more. It's a great place. read more

So glad to have discovered this pizza spot in Houlton. The food is amazing - such a fantastic pie, The Greek Pizza is the one mainly ordered and I don't think I will ever get tired of it. We ate here the other day and loved it! There don't seem to be many food choices here in town but their pizzas were delicious, even the gluten free. I also had a side salad which was fresh and extremely satisfying. In fact I was actually making yum noises as I ate, something that annoys me when others do it. Ha! Visiting Maine from Pennsylvania and stopped in Houlton, ME. Had lunch at Market Square pizza and would highly recommend! Shop was small but clean and nicely decorated filled with nostalgic pictures and signage. The menu had plenty to choose from and the pizza was delicious! Service was very good and fast. Really superb pizza. We came in for a late mid-afternoon lunch and ordered a Dave's and a Market-rita - both were outstanding. The crust is just about the best I've had for thin crust. And the red sauce was delicious. Right there is 80% of the quality of a pizza so it's probably hard to go wrong here. Definitely check this place out - Houlton needs great restaurants to survive! read more

My wife and I were camping in the area and had a craving for pizza. It was Sunday and this was the only pizza place open. We were not disappointed! It's a small restaurant in the middle of town. The waitress was very responsive and the pizza was great. My wife had a gluten-free pizza that she was very happy with and ate the leftovers later that night. What an AMAZING place to take your family, such a wonderful experience. The little red headed cook in the kitchen, my family got such a kick out of her. She was running so much food to the front for people inside, people picking up etc. That place was hopping the night we were there, we sat and enjoyed the surrounding for about 2 hours, I never saw one customer wait for more than a minute, had their food and out the door. The customers inside were all getting their food within 12 minutes(the longest I saw someone wait)after giving their orders to the waitress, then you would see that little red head come a running, and she is just so happy to be there, our food was amazing not one complaint and I had a group of 9 very picky people mind you. I even heard her apologize to the customer that waited 12 minutes, she said I'm so sorry that took so long,I was confused, and that customer laughed, and said took so long, I've waited longer at McDonald's and dunkin donuts, trust me you've got them all beat!!! She giggled and off on her merry way. I know she is probably needed out in the kitchen, as fast as that food was coming out and looking so perfect at the same time, but she's got a way with your customers, and just thought you should know. I know I'll be back with my group when in town, and I heard multiple other customers say the same thing, you got yourself a winner in that employee and just thought she should be recognized. read more
