First time visiting Knight Furniture. Had no idea how large the store would be, 3 floors ! Very happy with all the different choices. I was only looking for a sofa but ended up buying sofa, electric recliner and computer chair. Prices are really great as is the quality . Liked that the sales person Amanda was very friendly but not pushy. Gave me plenty of time after showing me around to just wander on my own , giving me space to decide. Then the real shocker was when she told me they could deliver everything next day . Next day Wade and Robert delivered , set everything up, checked to make sure no damage, etc. Then went over how the recliner remote worked and asked if it was away from the wall enough for me. Super disapointed with the lack of customer service. Not sure if under new management but not the experience we have had for years prior. We buy Mayo furniture and sent back for repair under Mayo warranty. Furniture was gone from January 20th to March 2nd. During this time Mayo had it for about 7 days) Our furniture came back filthy, not repaired, and damaged. Knights Furniture led me to believe it just took Mayo that long when in reality they only had it 7 days, Maddison took pictures when he came out to my house. Now that the furniture is returned and damaged, he no longer has pictures to show our furniture was in good shape when it left. This furniture sits in a 2nd living it is not our main gathering area. Prior to them taking it the furniture looked new with padding missing on arms and small fabric tightening. Now it looks and smells like it's been left misused. Knight Furniture owner still has yet to call me. So this is my only way to warn others! read more

My husband and I have been in the market for a new sectional to replace the one we bought (used) on Craigslist almost eight years ago. We went to the La-Z-Boy store in Allen and loved the product. However, we wanted to be smart customers and also took it upon ourselves to visit Knight Furniture in Sherman at the recommendation of my in-laws. We were blown away with the customer service and hospitality! We had our two small kids with us (2 and 6) and no one was phased or bothered by them wanting to explore the store. As a matter of fact, an employee directed us to a few wooden horse rockers and a race car cart for the kids to play with. They didn't even mind that my six year old daughter wanted to use the massage chair more than once! And they even brought the kids a couple of new plush toys to keep! We worked specifically with Phil who has been there for almost 25 years. He was so patient with us even though we arrived somewhat close to their store close time. He showed us several sectional options with various fabrics and didn't pressure us at all. Not only was Knight Furniture able to beat the cost and financing options that La-Z-Boy offered, but they were far more accommodating and made us feel at home. Purchased a Lazy Boy leather sofa and love seat and a standard recliner. The sales person was accommodating, friendly, and professional. He also listened to his customers. Delivery was fast and professional too. The furniture is of the finest quality and very comfortable. And I was very pleased that they offered a military discount. I purchased a nightstand at Knight Furniture in 2010. My overall experience there was really good. First, they have a huge selection of furniture. It's like three or four floors of furniture, it just goes on and on. Second, the service was pretty good. As soon as I walked in, the salesman was quick to approach me, but he wasn't too pushy. It was my lunch break, and I literally had 20 minutes to find what I wanted, purchase it, and load it up into my vehicle before getting back to work. In that time I was able to accomplish all that, and they were more than willing to help (of course, a quick sale like that, who wouldn't be willing to help?) I don't know if they treat all African Americans as if they are invisible or if it was just my lucky day. I had driven to Sherman specifically to shop for 3 rooms of furniture. I walked in and began looking around. One sales associate stood within 3 feet of me moving a sign. She never spoke or offered to assist. Thinking this quite odd I looked a little more. Still no one offered to assist and there were several employees standing around. I decided to walk towards the back of the store with the intent to leave if no one offered assistance. Still no one spoke or offered assistance. While walking back to the front to leave, an employee passed almost shoulder to shoulder. It appeared he dropped his head to keep from making eye contact. I left the store without ever being acknowledged as even being in the store. After leaving the store, I watched as Caucasian patrons were greeted almost as soon as they walked into the store. This is not a business at which I would spend my money. Further, I would discourage others of color to save themselves from a similar experience by not shopping at Knight Furniture. read more

We found Knight Furniture after searching the web for Lazy Boy chairs. So glad we made the drive there from McKinney. The Lazy Boy Galleries around the Dallas area left a lot to be desired in so many categories. We were so fortunate to have Sharon Slaughter answer the phone the day I called. After explaining to her what we wanted she called me back promptly with information. When we arrived at the store I was taken back. Our Lazy Boy Luxury Lift chair had to be ordered becuase of the custom fabric we wanted but it was here before we knew it.. The next great experience was the superior delivery policy that Knights has in place. The delivery men come in and measure and survery their path before they ever took the chair out of the truck. They put paper covers on their shoes and were meticuously careful as they proceeded to place the chair where we wanted it. They were more than happy to move our chair out that we were replacing our new Lazy Boy with.. Before they leave they call into the office and politely ask if you will speak to the delivery supervisor. The supervisor asks you right then about your overall experience with the delivery.. Was your furniture approved by you to be accepted. Were the drivers courteous, did they use the shoe covers on their shoes before coming into your home, were we pleased with the delivery overall on and was our experience a good one.
