In a single month, my insurance premium was increased by approximately 65%, and this new rate will continue for the following months -- without any valid reason or explanation. There were no claims, no changes in my operations, nothing that could justify such a drastic hike. This is not just a price increase -- it is an aggressive, unfair attack on loyal customers. It clearly shows that State Farm is willing to exploit long-term clients and raise rates arbitrarily, without transparency, without offering alternatives, and without any consideration for the impact on businesses. After 8 years of loyalty, I feel completely betrayed. This is either: a deliberate attempt to force clients out or a complete lack of control and ethics in their pricing practices This is unacceptable. I had to switch from the other insurance agency after giving my business to them for 7 years! They left me hanging almost with no homeowner's insurance coverage when Mercury sent us a notice over 6 months prior to the expiration to comply. The assistant of my agent kept saying they will take care of it and everything "should" be fine with the information they provided them (which was inaccurate). I followed up with them every 3 weeks and they kept saying because of "covid" everything was backed up but don't worry, they will take care of it. Come one month before my insurance expired, they BLAMED it on me for not willing to pay for inspection fee in order to continue my coverage. I was baffled! I asked several times if the appraisal inspection was enough as proof, they said, "yes". In the end I was blamed and left defending for myself and trying to get an inspection done, which i would have paid for but the availability was 2 weeks and I may not have enough time to get the documents processed. I could run into the risk of not having any coverage!!! Yet, the agent just said, well, are you going to do it or just pay $700 more for the last minute insurance they helped me pulled up? I felt I was held in hostage. I called several insurance agencies and they all took days to get back to me with a quote. I felt like I was treated as just a number or customer. It is like an answered prayer finding Broadway Insurance Service. William was super busy, but when he gave me the time he will get back to me, he fulfilled his promise. He didn't make any "excuses". William took the time to explain what I am buying into, what was covered and based on my family situation, recommended us to buy another umbrella insurance to make sure I have my family needs covered. Moreover, he was willing to go the extra mile to work out the contract on his day off so I would not be concerned about not having coverage. I was so touched by his service. I switched over our homeowners, landlord, and auto-insurance. We were so glad we did. 2 months after switching, my lender sent over an unreasonable request for me to provide proof that our home insurance that has "wind" coverage. Our lender went ahead and bought a very expensive coverage for us in escrow. When I called lender, they were making all kinds of procedures for me to provide proof and transferred me from department to departments. It took me more than 4 hours with the lenders that I decided to call William to see if he can speak to them over speaker phone while I was finally able to speak to the manager of the lender. William provided his cell phone for his contact and picked up right away when I called! It literally saved me another 4 hours to get to the right person at the lender. With his expertise, William firmly explained that in California, it is covered unless there are special items listed like Earthquake that is not covered. The lender tried to give me another department to submit proof and would have took 4-5 weeks to process the request. William just took it from there and said he will take care of it for me. With 2 kids, the assurance was everything! Within 1.5 weeks, it was taken care of. During that whole time, William would send me email updates of what was happening. I had so much PEACE to know William would take care of me and my family. He is like family now. I can't express the gratitude for his help. Over the past 16 years, I've deal with 3 other agencies, NONE can match Broadway Insurance Service! If you are deciding to switch because you are not treated with the respect and attention from your current insurance agent, don't hesitate, just call William. You won't be disappointed.
