Since moving to Peoria, this has been my home for yearly examinations/check-ups…read more I have only seen the main physician, Anita Sabharwal, one-time. She was nice enough but, as most physicians seem to be in this day and age, too busy to really get to know me. I felt like patient #567, instead of a personal human being. I also did not like the fact that she seemed to advocate every vitamin on the planet for "good measure," as standard advice to all patients. Whatever happened to making sure you received all your vitamins by simply eating lots of veggies and good portions of essential food items? Normally I see Terri Burgner, the nurse practitioner, who I like very much. She really took the time to talk with me and answer any questions I had. She is not "sweet," but comes across kind, knowledgeable, and kind of tough (in an empowered woman kind of way). Located in the "Professional Building" at Proctor, I find the facilities modern and clean. They have also been quick to return phone calls about test results, etc. Overall, a solid place, but does not have that homey feel.

Stay away. They have many problems and the employees change often. They lost my blood work and…read morethe lab is next door. They commited fraud by prescribing my husbands medicine to me. They ignore requests from the insurance company. The office manager is never available or will not return phone calls. I have now changed doctors and it is unbelievable how a professional doctors office is run. I had forgotten.

I started this review 4 1/2 years ago when my mother passed away. I never finished it. To…read morepainful. My mother was diagnosed with Alzheimers around 2009. As the years and her Alzheimers progressed, we eventually tried to talk to get help from her doctor, Robert Meister. She had severe Sundowners (although at the time we didn't know what that was) and my elderly father was trying to take care her and all her Alzheimer related issues. We finally reached out to Meister (through his staff because he wouldn't talk to us) and hoped he could talk to my mom and put her on some medication to to help with her anxiety, Sundowner outbursts and depression. When my mom went in to see him with my dad, she asked him if she had Alzheimers (she had forgotten she had been diagnosed 7 years earlier). He said, "No, you don't. You're fine!" And that was the end of the visit. Absolutely no help for my mom. We called his office probably three times and wrote a letter explaining all that was going on and beseeching him for help for my mom which in turn would also have helped my dad. He did absolutely nothing! For the next year the stress of caring for my mom and her Alzheimer's nearly killed my dad. Finally we were able to get help through an Alzheimers group. She was prescribed an anxiety medication by another doctor. She died 3 years later of cancer and Alzheimers. Yes, Robert Meister, she DID have Alzheimers...in her chart if you had bothered to look and on her death certificate! He caused alot of unnecessary pain to my family and so much unnecessary anxiety for a woman suffering from Alzheimers; a woman who trusted him.

Dr. Robert Meister showed his true colors when I became sick. During the healthy years, all was…read morewell but when I needed him most, he was not responsive and a disgrace to the medical profession. It caught me by surprise and didn't know what to do when I would complain tell him about my issues and would not take ownership of the situation. All I can say is that I was let down and very disappointed because he's been a physician for decades and expected more.
