1. I got to hotel and they tried to turn me away in the lobby saying they had no rooms available when I had this room booked from the day prior through Expedia 2.One of the front desk guys tried to tell me to let him "walk me to my room" - automatic red flag 3. BOTH beds and all bathroom linens were stained and horrible - had to ask for new sheets and towels 3. THE SAME front desk guy tried to lure me into their "laundry room saying he needed help with the new linens - AUTOMATIC RED FLAG #2 4. At around 12:30 AM I hear fidgeting at my room door - I get up from bed with my husband walk towards the room door and the door swings open (thank god I locked it with a chain lock that's on the inside of the room door) - Low and behold it was the SAME front desk guy trying to come into my room I ask him what this is about and he tries to say he meant to go to the same room as mine but on the 2nd floor- WORST excuse ever as my room is on the FIRST floor NOT the SECOND I HAD MY FAMILY WITH ME INCLUDING MY 2 SONS (4yrs & 3months) Thank GOD I wasn't alone &with my kids - God only knows what would've happened if I was SMH! With that being said I believe that it is safe to say this hotel is a SHIT HOLE . If your looking for a place to stay where pervs run the business and your all for getting harassed just because your a somewhat of a decent looking female then this is the place for you... if not then I suggest saying FAR away from this place ESPECIALLY with kids read more

This was the most disgusting place I've ever stayed. There was mold in the bathroom, broken fixtures, a soggy carpet in the hallway, food in the hallway. If it had not been so late and no other place near the concert, I would never have stayed. The Board of Health should shut it down. read more

Dora and her son are just delightful. the heat was divine, as was the lighting as we are big readers. the beds were soft and the air was fresh. there is a shop rite and a dollar store just down the street, as well as the infamous liberty diner and a subway restaurant. anyhow, we couldn't have asked for anything better. this is a rustic area that just must be brought back to prominence, indeed! read more

Never stay here. Got stranded after a concert at Bethel Woods... The hotel was filthy, the room smelled like cigarette smoke and sweat. The tiles in the bathroom were falling off the wall, the towels like paper towels. We wouldn't walk on the carpet with our bare feet, it was nasty. They supposedly offered a free breakfast, there was zero juice, no water and no food. Our cab driver thought this was basically a crack hotel. read more

This place is disgusting and sketchy. The older man working the front desk was on the phone while checking us in and very confused about our reservation when we had our confirmation number and pin to show. We then had to wait for our room and when we finally went inside, we weren't in the correct room we had booked there were stains everywhere, the walls were filthy the bathroom light didn't work and smelled like cigarettes. When we went back to ask for help he gave us an attitude and said "when we book a room it's just a suggestion" and then said "we don't have to give you the room you booked". And then when we told him about the light switch no working he said it's because we don't know how to work a light switch. We left and will never return and neither should anyone else. read more

I was very tired of driving a long distance. I was sort of lost so I tried here. I couldnt drive one more mile. This place should be closed down. the white spray paint on the tub was cheap looking they tried to spray off the rust. 1.The hairs on the wall in the tub surround was disgusting. Im sure maids clean but their hair needs to be in a net and rinse out the curtains and tub walls.. the walls had soap drip marks still on them. 2. There was a cockroach on the table i called up the lady at the desk a nice black lady came with bug spray and sprayed my room. 3. i asked for non smoking and i smelled pot in the corridors and smoke. So maybe a guest fault but they can enforce this rule no smoking or febreeze it constantly. 4. The one owner came shabbily dressed to the desk i mean a woman in a plaid shabby shirt and buttoned up wrong. whatever happened to hosts with proper attire. 5. continental breakfast was bad. The milk was warm the lid was off which made it warm should be on ice.. it was sour for sure when i tried the cereal. they should have instant oatmeal as they have hot water, they should have real baked muffins or order from a bakery dept not the cheapo cinnamon rolls in cellophane which was all sweaty unappetizing so sadly set up this breakfast and yodels were there who eats freakin yodels for breakfast for petes sake. the coffee was bad to weak no flavor to cheap. it would be nice if they had prepackaged creamers and the bread they handled every one handles in atupper ware plain white cheap bread for toast. why not have whole wheat and rye as well in the original bags not handled then put into a tupperware. you can put the bread bag inside of tupperware but who knows who handled what with dirty hands. disgusting. it ends at 9 am when i got there at 8:30 there was nothing put out or left but white bread 1 sweaty roll 1 smooshed yodel and old mealy tasting apples. green banana. wow so yea its was only 85$ but the whole experience made me ill. Booked a three night stay at this motel and asked for a non smoking room but as I was walking to my room the hallway was filled with smoke. The bathroom was horrendous, rust was every where shower, sink and tub. The bed was a brick. The room was hot because the air conditioner was completely broken. I complained to management with no assistance and they were very rude. Stay away from this motel it is hands down the worse place ever. read more

I don't like to be negative. I usually only go to the trouble to make recommendations on the Internet when I want to give kudos to a business. My extended family came up here for a reunion. They arrived late and were forced to stay here. It was very dirty and there was mold in the shower. The Internet was very unreliable and kept bumping them off. The place was very old and rundown. The bread at breakfast was stale. Their room smelled like cigarettes that must have permeated the walls and carpet. Suffice it to say, they only stayed the one night. The staff was the only nice thing about this place. They were very accommodating when they cut the reservation short. read more

The hotel is in very poor condition, and not truthfully represented on its website. It is poorly maintained; the exterior is dilapidated and falling apart, the wallpaper is cracked and peeling, the carpets are so old and worn, they're wrinkled. I didn't want to walk on them barefooted. The stairways and hallways have very strong odors and are also not clean. There were many dead insects on the window sill in our room, and the windows were filthy. There was luggage in the closet from a previous guest. The shower pressure was so low, that the stream of water was a flaccid arch, a very low flow. My towels had long black hairs, and short curly hairs on them. A pool was listed as an amenity, however, it was closed and overgrown with weeds, obviously not open in quite some time. It was so dirty that we didn't partake in the continental breakfast, as we feared food poisoning. When we first checked into the room, I really wanted to request a refund and leave, but we had an event to attend and didn't have the time to find other accommodations. Someone from their corporate offices really should pay them a visit to inspect the deplorable conditions as it's a terrible reflection on the RLH brand. read more

We booked a night here to stay after a concert at Bethel Woods. We checked in but after seeing the place, we left the concert early in order to make the 90 mile trip home the same evening. On a motorcycle. At night. In the rain. This motel has potential but for now, it's just sad, dark, and so run down. The couple who were at the front desk don't greet, smile, or give eye contact. I got the sense that even they are embarrassed to gouge customers for $125/room. Perhaps this is what they were glumly discussing with each other during our check in? We can't know for sure because they didn't converse in English. We certainly did not feel welcome. We overheard a guest telling them that the door to their room didn't lock. The man at the front desk told the guest he had to use the card key to lock the door on the way out. No, no, and no. I wondered aloud to my husband about how such a place remains in business. We suspect it's because of their no cancellation policy? Once you book online, you're stuck with it. I hope the owners take the time to read these reviews. They need some serious education on the importance of curb appeal, property maintenance and hospitality. Otherwise, this building will become yet another empty shell among so many others in Sullivan County. read more

Honestly it was late, it's Woodstock's anniversary and we wanted to be close and save some money. We were not however expecting false advertising... The pictures of this hotel not real! The entrance doesn't even look like in the picture...no pool...looks like that carpet hasn't been replaced in decades and smells like it too. Past the lobby and into the room... Clean as far as dust but the bathroom...whoa... OK so you can't upgrade or can't afford to ? That's fine but please ** Ajax ** does wonders for Rust and mold...just egh. And there was a makeup stain on a towel... Good thing we packed our own. Pro's The bed was clean, clean sheets and atleast mattress was comfortable enough. They had cable TV so there's a Pro. Quiet area=no loud noises Would not be staying here again but appreciative at least that we slept well. read more

If I could rate less than one star I would. I booked online from California because we wanted to stay overnight in the Catskills after touring the Bethel Woods museum and art center. The pictures online looked good and it wasn't even cheap. What a disaster. The pool was empty and filled with trash. The lobby was filthy, looked like they hadn't dusted in years. Pails of filthy water in the hallways. We fled in terror. Honestly, I don't know how a place like this can even be licensed. read more
