Y'all, this motel is a complete scam. When we first arrived, we noticed a few unkempt things, including the cracked floor in the sink area that was just taped down with clear packing tape, mold in the footboard in the bathroom, an unknown stain on the sheets on the bed, etc., but we just figured we could deal with it for the weekend and never return. Well we left to get some food, and after we returned to the room and ate, we were relaxing on the bed and noticed there was a flea jumping around on the bed and onto our arms. Worried there would be more, we took the sheets off the bed, and instead of finding more fleas, we found bed bug droppings! We then thought we should look a little more in depth to see if we could find any actual bed bugs, so we pulled the whole bed away from the wall, and it was completely dirty and disgusting behind the bed. There was a condom wrapper, someone's hair tie, a cigarette butt (keep in mind this was listed as a "non-smoking" room), and there was so much dust and crumbs, just awful. So, very disgusted, we took our concerns to the woman at the front desk. My partner calmly and politely asked for a refund, and the woman first tried to ask if we wanted to just switch rooms, to which we replied we just wanted a refund and to leave, so she went and grabbed the owner and he started to question what our problem was. We reiterated the issue to him, and he started to raise his voice, saying that his rooms don't ever have any bug problems, and that we can either stay the night or leave, but either way we were not going to receive a refund. So my partner told him that we were going to call the health inspector to check his motel, and he yelled at us and told us, "go ahead!" Unfortunately, the health department was closed, so we had to call the police department to report this, and they ended up just sending out an officer. Once the officer arrived, we just explained the whole situation to him, he confirmed with us that what was on the bed were indeed bed bug droppings, and he told us that they get a lot of calls about the owner of this motel and that him and his family are not very nice people. After he left, we started to pack and noticed that there was also an exposed wire on the ground by the TV, mold growing on a drawer in the dresser in the room, and someone left their razor in the shower. We go back to the front desk to tell them we're leaving and we're here to give them back their room keys, and at first the front desk woman just repeated what had been said before, that we wouldn't receive a refund, and my partner just told them that we're going to leave a horrible review for all of the mistreatment and how disgusting the room was. The woman then proceeds to start yelling at us, saying we're "talking bad to her," then goes and grabs the owner, and we tell him that we're leaving, so he said, "Okay, then go!" And all we said was we didn't know if we needed to officially check out and just wanted to leave the room keys, all the while he's still yelling at us and telling us, "just get out, quit causing so many problems, you like to start trouble," etc. We said nothing else, started walking out the door, and here comes the owner trailing behind us, calling us "motherf***ers," and "stupid a-holes," and threatens to call the police, even though we never raised our voices, never cussed at them, never threatened them, we just quietly walked out, got into our vehicle, and drove away. To anyone who actually reads this whole thing, I know this probably just seems like a silly, made up story, but I promise you it's not. This really happened. That motel is absolutely disgusting, the owners are very horrible, unmannered, and rude, and it doesn't help either that most other people staying at that motel really aren't great company either. Other hotels/motels may be a little more expensive, but trust me, it is so worth it to just spend the extra money to be somewhere else. read more

I was trying to think of where the worst motel I had ever stayed in was. It took me about 30 seconds to remember the Knights Inn. My visit was from the spring of 2007. It may now be renovated into a majestic splendor, so maybe call ahead. Top ten reasons for its terribleness back then. each reason is followed by the counterpoint. Lets say what Mr.Knight would say is a reason for its awesomeness. 1. a hole in the floor about the size of my fist where an Ethernet cable came up, and possibly other things (free Internet) 2. the smell of wet dog and smoke (pets and smoking rooms available) 3. stains on the carpet and bedspread (don't worry about it) 4. a brown-tinge to the water. (running water) 5. the sounds of small children playing outside at 3am, but nobody around when you look out the window. (haunted motel, no extra charge) 6. holes in the wall (throw something, who cares) 7. running toilet (soothing sounds to sleep too) 8. sheets like sandpaper. (exfoliation while you sleep). 9. a small curly hair in one of the towels (newish towels). 10. mold in the bathroom (it wont hurt you in one night, free soap) read more

Hmmm, the pictures lie. I booked this place without the benefit of yelp. BOOKING.COM AND HOTELS.COM both had the place rated at 4 stars. Our experience was similar to some others although I would say the truckers I know wouldn't stay here. The best description I can give is the place is run down. In the shower you have the choice of either very hot or very cold. There was a good deal of noise until about 1:00 AM. Would I stay here again? Only if I lost a bet. read more

March 2021....This place was so nasty. After driving all day, we were tired and decided to stay here. My husband , daughter and I got to our room and it smelled like cat piss. So my husband put some of his essential oils on the register to make things smell better. That seemed to work. I checked the beds for bed bugs...i didnt find any, but i seen the sheets had stains on them. After setteling down and getting ready for bed, i noticed cat food on the floor. The Patel family have no place running a "24/7" hotel. I called the reservations line when passing through Louisville, and paid for a room three hours before arriving. Only to show up to an unstaffed front desk left wide open with a remote pager button for assistance. Tried that for ten mins, no response. Called the front desk after finding their land line number on the front desk card, no answer. Set off my car alarm while attempting the previously mentions. No response. This is rediculous! Everything nearby is sold out and all i want to do is sleep after an 8-hour flight and four hour drive from Nashville. DO NOT PAY FOR ROOMS UPFRONT VIA CC USING THEIR RESERVATIONS TEAM. I already tried calling them and they were extremely unhelpful nor willing to refund the charges. BUYER BEWARE AND KEEP HUNTING ELSEWHERE. *Bed Bug* found never have I been so disgusted and that includes my treatment from the staff. I was traveling through when a snow storm hit decided to stay at this dump. It was 11:00 pm I was tired from driving 9 hours already. Checked in, fist room smelled like 10,000 cigarettes had been chain smoked, okay went back asked for a second room, clerk seemed surprised and concerned. She issued a second key, went to that room, hole in the wall, burn marks in the bathroom, again bad smoke odor in the second non smoking room. Fine I said forget it lets get out of here and ask for a full refund. There was a sign that says you need to choose to stay with in 15 min. Now a guy appeared he asked if I would accept a room very close to the lobby ,"very nice, clean room" he said. I said fine. Went to the room it smelled of way less smoke and decide fine ill sleep and leave in the morning. I'm sitting in bed and felt a little tickle on my back, though nothing, got up to use the restroom nd there it was crawling on the pillow. I packed up bought and room else where and looked to get my money back. First, the front desk wouldn't come out, opened the door bell rings, rang the electronic door bell on the counter, nothing. Mind you its now 2 am. Finally, after calling the phone did someone answer and the lady Rishi I believe was her name. So I am a non confrontational person but this was a health concern and I'm certain it was a bed bug. I've worked in hotel hospitality for ten years, I know a bed bug. She said over and over she couldn't help me, the guy who could was sleeping, nothing could be done until tomorrow. Cute, she also started getting more agitated when I mentioned the health dept., better business bureau, and then said I wouldn't get my money back because I had already spent the night. What! I was there 2 hours but sure I see your point lady! I kept the bed bug in a plastic bag so I had proof. I'm hoping to get my money back. It's 3:30 am now I'm at the Hampton down the road. Extremely filthy, ALL areas, floors, counters, walls, microwave, fridge, DIRTY ALL OVER discussing dirty - sticky counters and floors. Dust, dirt, and tons of insects stuck to the trims and walls. Smelled awful, cigarettes smell with a very bad dirty, nasty smell. Even our personal belongings kept smelling terrible hours after we left the hotel. Pictures are completely different than reality. Can't quite give it three stars. The barracks-like motel wings, crunchy parking lot, and doors that don't reach the walks below are all turn-offs. On the plus side our room had true blackout curtains, the A/C ran well, and the Direct TV performed as it should. Bed and bath clean enough but the carpet seemed from a different era. What is the deal with motels that advertise free continental breakfast but don't put out milk to go with the dry cereal? Is this some new thing -- beg for your kids' milk?? We got to our room and noticed some weird things about the place, and we honestly were kinda scared to stay there but we figured we could make it through the weekend and never go back. We stayed in the room for awhile and even went and got dinner to bring back and eat. After we ate we were sitting on the bed watching to when we noticed a flea jumping around the bed sheets and even onto my arm. I got it off but have no idea where it is now (hopefully not somewhere else on me)! After that situation we decided we should check the bed again like we did when we first came in but maybe a little better. We pulled off the multitude of sheets on this bed and when we got down to the last sheet there were some little black spots all in a cluster. After looking up it turns out it's a good chance they are bed bug droppings or from them somehow. We then pulled the box spring out and we immediately wished we hadn't cause what we found was worse than a bedbug infestation in my books! Under the front of the box spring was an opened condom wrapper and a cigarette butt in a non smoking room! GROSS! After that we went and requested a refund from the managers! This didn't go well as the front desk lady went and got her husband after telling us there was not much she could do. He came out and yelled at us saying something along the lines of you are the only ones causing problems you can stay or leave (he has a really strong accent so it's hard to understand him). We then went back to the room deciding to call the police department in Seymour and they sent out an officer out to confirm our problems! We knew they couldn't make them give us a refund but it was too late at night to call the health inspector office and we just wanted someone to see it and give them our report when they are open again. The officer that arrived said they have dealt with the manager a lot before and that they aren't very nice people! He said that this hotel has had plenty of issues and was not a good place to be. He also confirmed that the spots were probably bedbugs! After he left we decided to pack up and leave. When we went to turn in the room keys we were met by the front desk lady and her husband who said they had called the cops on us! Imagine that, we were apparently the problem here! We told them we were leaving and the husband yelled at us and told us to leave. When we said we were gonna leave a terrible review he so he didn't care and started calling us names and cursing at us very rudely! He even followed us out the door and appeared to be calling the cops again or something as we got in my vehicle. The attached pictures will show you all the great things about staying at the Knights Inn; including a condom wrapper under the bed along with a cigarette butt and a whole bunch of dust, a spot of black dots from bedbugs, a gross stain in the fridge, mold in the bathroom, the amazing caulking job they did, the shaving razor that someone left in top corner of the shower, a possible poop stain on the bed (hoping it was just coffee), the taped together floor in front of the sink, an exposed wire coming out of the floor, and the mold on the pull out desk! So stay in this crappy place if you dare but just know you won't get a refund from the horrible management and you will probably get a disease or two if you actually make it through the night with the crazy looking people who stay there with you! If I could give this place less than 1 star I would. Janusz and I got a jump on our trip to Orlando- and four or so hours on the road led us to this motel. We were given one of their "refurbished" rooms- I would have hated to have seen the before.....this is the kind of dump that convinced me that a timeshare was the way to travel. I would avoid staying in a Knights Inn- unless you like small, smelly and uncomfortable. read more

My bed had black foot prints and ashes in the sheets when I asked for new sheets I was told no. They didn't have access to clean ones at that time. The water was out for over 2 hours. And despite paying for a 3 schlock check out they made me leave at 1130 read more

This is one of those "you get what you pay for" kind of places. Definitely a cheap truck stop motel, nothing more. People cussing in the parking lot all night, makes it pretty hard to sleep. Comforter very itchy and cheap. Only bar soap provided in the shower. If you have to stay here, you'll probably survive, but there are a bunch of other hotels in the immediate area, you might want to check those out first. read more

Terrible customer service. Left a cell phone, which they refused to mail back. Arranged for UPS to pick up (out of my own pocket), emailed the label with instructions for the front desk to print off. They never printed off and told me I was basically out of luck when I called everyday for the next 3 days to find out if they had mailed out yet. The woman at the front desk told me they would be dropping at the UPS store every time I called - that was in between her yelling at me however. Never mailed it so I had to arrange another UPS pickup, again out of my own pocket. Called corporate headquarters to register a complaint and they also refused to take my complaint. Horrible hotel. The worst customer service I've ever dealt with. Won't be staying with Wyndham hotels ever again. read more

This was the worst place ever! NEVER again. No one speaks English. Couldn't get extra towel. The pool was 5 feet deep max and you couldn't even see the bottom. if you ignore the two reviews from 2007, you get at least a 3-star review for this hotel. I was there last week and hesitate to say "4-stars" but I highly recommend this hotel for a one night pass-thru, showing up without a reservation. I paid $55 (including tax) for one night. It was remodeled, clean, quiet and I felt safe, arriving after dark. Desk clerk was friendly, helpful and quick. It's near fast food and gas options. Only bar soap is provided (no shampoo). Shower ran hot. A/C worked. Bed was comfortable, plenty of sheet/blanket warmth. Dark. Large bathroom. I was given a handicapped accessible room (without asking and not needing). The shower would not have been accessible to a wheelchair person (it was a tub) though ample bars were in place for those with mobility. Nice TV but I did not try to use it. Had free wifi. Breakfast included was two choices of cereal, toast or donuts, juice, coffee. I would return. read more

Was pretty worried about this place at first, but for a 2 star, it was pretty comfortable. The dresser was broken, pen marks on door, no iron/ironing board. But the bed was pretty comfortable and the sheets were clean. Bathroom and sink areas were fine. There did seem to be some people living there, but for a 1-2 night stay, it got the job done comfortably read more
